This research aims to examine the values contained in Dalihan Na Tolu through the perspective of Christian eschatology and examine its relevance to the mission of the Catholic Church in society. Dalihan Na Tolu as a socio-cultural system of the Batak community contains the values of respect, solidarity, responsibility, and brotherhood which play an important role in building social harmony. This research uses a qualitative method with a library research approach through the collection of data from various books, journals, Church documents, and scientific sources relevant to the research theme. The results of the study show that the values in Dalihan Na Tolu are related to eschatological expectations in the Christian faith, especially in building a life that reflects the love, brotherhood, and fellowship that God wills. In addition, Dalihan Na Tolu also has relevance in the Church's mission as a means of inculturation in the proclamation of the Gospel that is more contextual in the Batak community. Thus, local culture is not seen as an obstacle to faith, but rather as a means that can support the realization of the values of God's Kingdom in common life.

This research is motivated by the challenges faced by today's local church in formulating its missionary goals and work amidst rapid social, cultural, and global changes. These changes often make the church's missionary function appear unclear and lack clear direction, putting the church at risk of carrying out its ministry detached from its biblical identity. Therefore, this research aims to reinterpret the local church's missionary goals and work based on the Apostle Paul's example as a missionary, while also proposing its relevance for church ministry in the current context. The research uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method, specifically contemporary missionary theology literature and writings on the Apostle Paul's life and ministry. The results show that, according to Paul, the primary purpose of the church's mission is to educate the congregation through teaching rooted in the truth of the Word, and to bring the congregation into an encounter with Christ through lively worship, expressed in the singing of psalms, praises, spiritual songs, and the celebration of the Lord's Supper. The missionary work exemplified by Paul also includes the proclamation of the Gospel, tangible loving service, empowering the congregation to grow as witnesses of Christ, and social transformation as a manifestation of the church's presence in society. These findings confirm that the local church's mission should not only focus on spiritual aspects, but also be holistic, contextual, and relevant to the needs of the times. Thus, the church is called to develop a mission strategy that is both faithful to the Bible and able to meet the challenges of the modern world, thereby providing a complete witness of God's love for the world.

This article examines the importance of understanding and applying church discipline in the life of today’s congregation based on biblical principles. Church discipline is not merely seen as a form of punishment but as a means of God's grace to bring about restoration, spiritual growth, and order within the body of Christ. Through the study of Scripture and theological reflection, this paper explains that discipline is an expression of God’s love aimed at guiding His people toward repentance and truth. In practice, discipline must be carried out with love, patience, and wisdom, thus reflecting the character of Christ rather than serving merely as a corrective measure. The article also highlights the challenges of applying church discipline in the context of a modern culture that tends to reject authority and correction. Nevertheless, the author asserts that discipline remains relevant and essential as a means of preserving the holiness of the church and its witness to the world. The conclusion of this discussion shows that church discipline, when properly implemented, has a positive impact on both individuals and the faith community as a whole.

The church is the Body of Christ that carries out God’s vision and mission in the world to bring many lost souls. Often the church is confused when it has to determine its attitude towards people who sin. One extreme attitude is to just let someone fall into sin because they are afraid of offending that person. Another extreme attitude is to hate sin so much that they also hate the person who does it. Discipline in the church is a major oversight in some churches today. The church also often misunderstands the meaning of church discipline and misimplements it to the congregation. The church misunderstands that church discipline is a form of punishment given not as a warning or reprimand to regret mistakes and return to the right path. From the title of this article, the author describes the results of the discussion using the Qualitative method through a literature research study sourced from scientific papers in the form of journals and related articles that produce several discussions including: the definition and purpose of church discipline, forms of church discipline, challenges in implementing church discipline, and the last is how church discipline can build a spiritually and socially healthy congregation community. The discussion of this article is described by the author to the readers so that they can increase their insight and even teach and encourage the church to always be firm in disciplining congregations who commit sins based on the truth of God’s word.

Mission is the Great Commission that must be carried out by the church with true enthusiasm and sincerity. However, this part is sometimes not realized consistently within the church due to various problems and obstacles that occur in church institutions. Therefore, it is very important that the mission be carried out properly and spread to all existing groups. Thus, the aim of this article is to provide important points that must be carried out by the church in realizing God's mission in the world so that the church can grow and be consistent in carrying out the mission or Great Commission that has been commanded in Matthew 28:19-20. The method used in this paper is a descriptive qualitative method with an approach to library data sourced from books, Bibles, journals and other online media, then analyzing these sources and drawing conclusions. The result of this article is that the church has important points as an effort to overcome various challenges or problems in mission activities so that the church can maximize the realization of the great commission contained in Matthew 28:19-20 and the church grows healthily and consistently to carry out its responsibility, namely spreading good news for everyone.

This research examines God as the initiator of cross-cultural missions through a case study of mission transformation in the life of the Apostle Peter. Departing from the existing research gap, namely the need to reflect on the nature of God who loves other nations through a change in Peter's perspective, this study aims to show that God is the initiator of salvation for all mankind. The significance of this study is to encourage the church to see cross-cultural missions as an important approach in transmitting God's love to those who have not yet repented. Using a descriptive-analytical method, this study finds that Peter's encounter with Cornelius was a crucial turning point in early Christian missionary work. The experience radically changed Peter's narrow understanding of who was worthy of receiving the gospel, extending from just Jews to all nations. The descent of the Holy Spirit upon Cornelius and his family is clear evidence to Peter that God's grace is impartial and available to every believer. This event was not only a personal lesson for Peter, but also a revelation of God that opened the door for the gospel to reach the Gentile world, fundamentally changing the course of church history.

This study explores the concepts of the visible and invisible Church using a qualitative approach with theological and historical methods. The invisible Church is understood as the true spiritual fellowship of all believers, known only to God, while the visible Church refers to the tangible institution that includes buildings, congregations, organizational structure, and leadership. Throughout Christian history, perspectives on the nature of the Church have varied—some emphasize its spiritual and universal aspects, while others focus on its organizational and institutional dimensions. Through the analysis of biblical passages such as Ephesians 1:22–23 and Colossians 1:18, along with theological insights and historical development, this study finds that a proper understanding of the Church must encompass both dimensions. Misinterpretation between these two concepts can lead to a limited understanding of the Church. The study affirms that the Church is not confined to formal institutions but is also the body of Christ comprising all true believers worldwide. By understanding the balance between the visible and invisible Church, Christians are encouraged to live in unity, strengthen their faith, and take an active and responsible role within church life. This understanding offers a broader perspective for living a more holistic and impactful faith life.

The ecumenical movement seeks to unite churches divided in denomination, doctrine, and practice, while fighting for peace and social justice. This article reviews the history, theological foundations, and application of ecumenism in the church's mission. This movement was born from the need for Christian unity, realized in Indonesia through the formation of the Fellowship of Churches in Indonesia (PGI) to strengthen cross-denominational fellowship. Its theological foundation is poured into Jesus' prayer for unity and the Great Commission. In addition to unity, ecumenism supports social justice as a manifestation of Christ's love. The main challenges include doctrinal differences, leader-congregation disputes, cultural differences, and political pressure. Inclusive ecumenical education and congregational participation are the keys to realizing church unity in facing pluralism and social challenges.

This article discusses the role of missions in the development of Christian churches in the world. Church development in question is the growth of the congregation's faith and the addition of souls in church members through repentance and belief in Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior. Especially in changing times which have become modern with the development of technology, there are many challenges to the faith faced by churches, so the message of the Gospel is needed to support, strengthen and maintain the faith. This mission was started by Jesus Christ through His ministry and must be carried out because it is considered the great commission conveyed in Matthew 28:19. In discussing this article, the author uses qualitative methods through literature research studies on books and scientific papers in the form of articles related to the discussion of this article. Aims to provide new insights for readers and appeal to Christian churches to continue carrying out evangelistic missions using various methods both online and using technological media.

The word mission is derived from Misio Dei, meaning that the Triune God plays a role in it, God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Understanding the role of the Triune God in Misio Dei will help a strong mission movement in the church. The church is the channel of God's mission to proclaim the good news that the Kingdom of God has come. The church is responsible for carrying out God's mission so that the mission movement remains sustainable. The younger generation is the only successor to the mission movement in the church, therefore it is necessary to discover the obstacles in the mission movement in the younger generation so that the church continues carrying on the mission. JKI Injil Kerajaan Church is one of the churches whose mission is to build a generation of disciple leaders who are pleasing to God and impact others. The younger generation at the JKI IK Church has not become missionaries since 2020. The factor that influenced the decline in missionaries at the JKI IK Church was the existence of an identity crisis. This self-identity crisis can be addressed by strengthening the relationship with the Holy Spirit. In addition, we must learn from the expansion of the early church where the supporting factors for the expansion of the early church were the renewing power of the Gospel, fruitful and reaping evangelistic motivation, context-appropriate service variations, conducive geo-political factors and recruiting workers for the expansion of church missions.

The history of the spread of Christianity in Indonesia cannot be separated from the role of missionaries who came during the colonial period. This research aims to explore the role of missionaries in the spread of Christianity in Indonesia and its impact on social, educational and political changes in the country. Missionaries, both Catholic and Protestant, played a dual role in this process: on the one hand, they sought to spread Christianity; on the other hand, they also functioned as colonial agents that strengthened colonial power. In this context, the Christianization process is often seen as part of a colonial strategy to maintain dominance over local communities. The social impact of the spread of Christianity was significant, especially in shaping new social structures. Missionaries introduced a formal education system that gave access to communities that were previously unreached by education, such as in the Minahasa and Tapanuli regions. The education provided by missionaries covered basic learning, including reading, writing and arithmetic, which became an important foundation for the development of Indonesian society. However, the spread of Christianity also led to social tensions and conflicts, especially in areas where the majority of the population is Muslim. These tensions, according to some observers, were the result of the close relationship between Christianity and colonial rule. These conflicts still continue today.

Acts 1:8 became an important foundation for the mission of the early church to function as an agent of change in the world. In this verse, Jesus calls his disciples to be His witnesses in various regions, from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth, while emphasizing the importance of cross-cultural missions in the development of the church. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a biblical approach. sThe rapid spread of the Gospel reflects the universal appeal of Christ's message that transcends cultural and geographical boundaries, and its relevance for all people. Thus, the mission of the early church not only changed the spiritual lives of individuals, but also had a significant social impact, including strengthening communities, caring for the poor, and defending human rights. The results of this article review show an answer that mission is not just the task of a few people, but is the collective responsibility of all believers to create a better and more just world, in accordance with the teachings of Christ.

In “Harmony of Philosophy, Religion, and Ecology: Understanding the Message of Scripture as the Church's Mission in Protecting Nature according to Mark 16:15,” the importance of the relationship between religious doctrine, philosophical ideas, and environmental conservation initiatives is highlighted. Thus, Mark 16:15, which commands us to preach the Gospel to all creatures, could be interpreted as an appeal to protect God's creation, including the environment. In light of the current ecological catastrophe, philosophy offers an ethical framework that allows us to consider our obligations to nature. Meanwhile, religion—especially the teachings contained in the Holy Bible—emphasizes the spiritual call to care for creation. As an important institution in society, the Church's goals must include environmental management. The Church can inspire its members to apply ecological ideals to everyday life by upholding this duty. The Church can play a leading role in nature protection by taking concrete steps and educating the public about the value of ecology in a faith-filled life. Given the urgent need to overcome current environmental problems, harmony between philosophy, religion and ecology not only deepens
