The implementation of healthy and safe school standards is a strategic effort to create a learning environment that supports the health and safety of elementary school students. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of healthy and safe school standards at SDN 6 Kendari, which is characterized by its proximity to a market and a main road. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design, involving field observations, the completion of a healthy and safe school indicator questionnaire, and interviews with educators. The results indicate that SDN 6 Kendari has met most of the healthy school indicators, evidenced by well-maintained buildings, adequate ventilation and lighting, proper sanitation and waste management, and students’ consistent practice of clean and healthy living behaviors. Regarding the safe school aspect, the school’s social environment is relatively conducive and free from risky behaviors, supported by the availability of a monitoring system and collaboration with relevant parties. However, several areas still require improvement, such as the equitable distribution of handwashing facilities, more strategic placement of portable fire extinguishers, and strengthening traffic risk mitigation measures due to the school’s location. Overall, the implementation of healthy and safe school standards at SDN 6 Kendari has been proceeding well, but requires continuous improvement to achieve optimal compliance with the standards.

Changes in labor regulations through the Job Creation Law have brought significant changes to the employment system in Indonesia, particularly in terms of labor flexibility. This study aims to analyze labor flexibility after the implementation of the Job Creation Law from the perspective of Human Resource Management (HRM). The research method used is a qualitative approach through a literature study with thematic analysis of 16 scientific journals, books, and regulations related to labor flexibility and strategic Human Resource Management (HRM) practices. The results show that labor flexibility has positive impacts on companies in improving operational efficiency, productivity, and adaptability to market changes. However, on the other hand, such flexibility also creates several challenges, including job uncertainty, decreased job security, and reduced protection for contract and outsourced workers. From the HRM perspective, companies are required to create a balance between business interests and labor protection in order to maintain harmonious industrial relations. This study is expected to provide a more comprehensive understanding of labor flexibility as part of human resource management strategies in the post-labor deregulation era in Indonesia.

Mangrove forests are high-value coastal ecosystems that have the potential to be developed as sustainable ecotourism destinations. This study aims to analyze the development of Mangrove Forest Tourism in Kampung Kayu Ara Permai, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency based on the three pillars of sustainable tourism of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), namely environmental, economic, and socio-cultural sustainability. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through literature studies and semi-structured interviews with regional managers. The results of the study show that this area has a good mangrove ecosystem with nine species and an average Tourism Suitability Index (IKW) of 76.89% (Suitable/S2 category). From an economic perspective, eight non-timber forest products (NTFPs) downstream products and community-based homestay models have created an equitable distribution of benefits for residents. The socio-cultural dimension is supported by the authenticity of the coastal Malay tradition that is still preserved. However, the three dimensions face challenges in the form of the absence of protection regulations, the absence of a government fixed budget, and low public participation in management evaluation. This study recommends the issuance of regional regulations, the establishment of tourism BUMDes, and the strengthening of community participation as the foundation for sustainable ecotourism development.

This research aims to analyze the gap between the profit-sharing principle as the normative foundation of Islamic economics and the risk management practices applied in sharia cooperatives, considering the ongoing inconsistencies in the implementation of the risk-sharing principle. The research method employs a qualitative approach thru literature study with thematic and comparative analysis techniques on relevant academic literature. The results and discussion indicate that sharia cooperatives tend to adopt a conventional risk management paradigm oriented toward institutional stability, thereby triggering the dominance of non-profit-sharing contracts and the shift of the concept of risk sharing to risk shifting in operational practices. The gap is influenced by structural factors, including limitations in managerial capacity, information asymmetry, potential moral hazard, and pressures of institutional sustainability. This study concludes that the risk management practices of sharia cooperatives do not fully reflect the principles of Islamic economics, thus necessitating a reconstruction of a more integrative and contextual risk management model. As a suggestion, sharia cooperatives need to develop a risk management framework based on risk sharing that is adaptive to operational risks without disregarding the values of justice and partnership as the main characteristics of Islamic economics.

This study examines the gap between Nestlé’s sustainability commitments and the reality of ecological damage caused by the use of unsustainable raw materials in its global supply chain. Using a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature reviews and case study analysis, this study evaluates various data sources, ranging from scientific journals and corporate reports to documentation from independent organizations such as Greenpeace and the Rainforest Action Network. Findings indicate that Nestlé’s procurement of key commodities such as palm oil, cocoa, soy, dairy products, and singleuse plastics significantly contributes to deforestation, systemic plastic pollution, water extraction in vulnerable regions, and greenhouse gas emissions exceeding 87.5 million tons of CO₂e per year. In Indonesia, these highrisk areas are evident in palm oil sourcing in Sumatra and Kalimantan and cocoa sourcing in Sulawesi. Theoretically, this study argues that Nestlé’s sustainability governance exhibits a pattern of strategic decoupling, where public reporting on progress in primary supply chains is deliberately used to mask ongoing environmental damage within their hidden supply networks. Thus, this article makes a critical contribution by integrating supply chain management theory, environmental accountability, and the governance of multinational corporations.

Although MSMEs are crucial to the economy, the sustainability of non-franchise micro-enterprises is often hampered by suboptimal financial governance. Low utilization of financial information, lack of separation between personal and business finances, and unstructured cash flow management are challenges that can affect long-term business sustainability. This quantitative study aims to evaluate the impact of financial record keeping, capital planning, and cash cycle management on the sustainability of non-franchise micro-enterprises in Mekargalih Village, Garut Regency. Using a survey method and saturated sampling technique, data from 70 business owners were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that financial record keeping does not have a significant impact on business sustainability, indicating that recording activities are still administrative in nature and have not been optimally utilized as a basis for business decision-making. Conversely, capital planning and cash cycle management have been shown to have a positive and significant impact on business sustainability. Business owners who are able to plan capital needs and maintain smooth cash flow tend to be more able to maintain the stability of their business operations. Simultaneously, these three variables contribute 45.2% to business sustainability. This finding confirms that the ability to allocate capital andKeywords: business continuity; financial records; capital planning; cash cycle; micro-enterprises.

The urgency of this research stems from the knowledge gap regarding contextual factors contributing to the underuse of learning media in rural elementary schools, which has not been adequately addressed in previous research, which has tended to focus on urban contexts. This study aims to examine teachers' perceptions at Sugayang Public Elementary School regarding the underuse of learning media in the learning process, as well as the factors that contribute to it. The method used was a descriptive qualitative method, utilizing in-depth interviews as a data collection technique. The data were then analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques according to Miles and Huberman. The results showed that teachers experienced difficulties in using technology, difficulties in creating learning media, and the perception that using media was time-consuming. This reveals an important pattern that the underuse of learning media is a systematic problem rooted in the TPACK gap that is not supported by practical time management solutions. These findings imply that changes in learning practices will not occur simply through the provision of generic technology tools or training; rather, bottom-up and contextual solutions are needed. The novelty of this research lies in the in-depth qualitative approach applied to the under-researched context of rural elementary schools, which has not been studied before. This research contributes through recommendations for the implementation of a peer-mentoring program and the development of a ready-to-use digital learning media bank, thus offering valuable insights for future research with relevant stakeholders.

This study aims to examine the role of teachers in developing emotional intelligence among adolescent students at SMP Kesatrian Surakarta. Emotional intelligence is an essential aspect that supports academic achievement, social relationships, and character development. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 15 teachers teaching grades VII to IX, participant observations in classroom settings, and analysis of relevant school documents. The findings reveal that teachers play a strategic role in fostering students’ emotional intelligence through three primary approaches: emotional modeling by demonstrating appropriate emotional management (45%), facilitating emotion-based learning activities (30%), and evaluating students’ emotional intelligence development (25%). These roles significantly contribute to improving students’ self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skills. Supporting factors include emotional intelligence training programs provided by the local education authority and the school’s commitment to creating a supportive learning environment. However, major challenges consist of high administrative workloads among teachers (70%) and limited counseling facilities (50%). This study recommends continuous teacher training, the integration of emotional intelligence modules into lesson plans, and collaboration with school psychologists to ensure long-term monitoring and development of students’ emotional competencies. The findings contribute to the enrichment of emotional intelligence literature within the context of Indonesian secondary education.

This study analyzes the implementation of the Central Papua One-Stop Service Information System (Sipersateng) at the Central Papua Provincial Secretariat as a model for administrative innovation in the New Autonomous Region (DOB). The main focus of the study is to explore how a region with extreme infrastructure limitations can leapfrog or institutionalize towards an agile and transparent digital bureaucracy. Using a qualitative descriptive-analytical method with a case study approach, this research involved in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies to capture the dynamics of the transition from manual to digital systems. The results show that Sipersateng successfully reduced administrative process time by up to 60%. This success was driven by three main dimensions: institutional legitimacy through strong leadership commitment, technical resilience through offline-syncing features to address internet signal fluctuations, and significant changes in work culture. Adaptation strategies such as peer-mentoring methods for senior officials and mandatory policies through gubernatorial instructions proved effective in breaking down organizational cultural resistance. This study concludes that Sipersateng is not merely a technical tool, but rather a manifestation of Frontier Digital Bureaucracy that is able to mitigate the risk of maladministration and build public accountability in the newly formed province. This innovation demonstrates that geographic limitations are not a major barrier to achieving clean governance if supported by inclusive and adaptive system design. These findings provide a theoretical contribution to the public management literature on digitalization in regions with high structural challenges.

This study aims to analyze the effect of homework load and extended study hours on students’ learning stress levels. The background of this research is based on increasing academic demands that may affect students’ psychological conditions. This study employs a qualitative approach with data collected through observation and interviews. The results indicate that excessive homework load and prolonged study duration significantly contribute to higher levels of learning stress. Students tend to experience physical and mental fatigue, decreased motivation, and difficulty managing time between study and rest. In addition, pressure to achieve high academic performance further exacerbates stress levels. Other factors such as lack of environmental support and less varied teaching methods also influence students’ stress. Furthermore, students often report feelings of anxiety and emotional exhaustion when academic tasks accumulate without adequate rest periods. This condition not only affects their psychological well-being but also reduces concentration and learning effectiveness in the classroom. Therefore, balanced learning load management, appropriate task distribution, and more effective and humanistic teaching strategies are needed to reduce learning stress and improve the quality of education. Schools and educators are encouraged to consider students’ cognitive capacity and mental health in designing assignments and study schedules to create a more supportive learning environment.

Package C equivalency education is a strategic non-formal education policy designed to provide senior secondary education access for citizens who are not served by the formal schooling system. This study evaluates the implementation of the Package C Equivalency Education Policy at the Non-Formal Education Unit Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar in Batudaa District, Gorontalo Regency, Indonesia. The study addresses the gap between the policy objective of expanding equitable access to secondary education and the practical constraints found in local implementation. Using a qualitative evaluative case study design, the research applies the Context, Input, Process, and Product evaluation model. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis involving program managers, tutors, learners, parents, alumni, and non-formal education supervisors. The findings show that the policy is contextually relevant to learners who face economic barriers, employment demands, age constraints, and limited access to formal schooling. However, input capacity remains insufficient due to limited tutor availability, inadequate andragogical competence, insufficient learning media, and learning modules that are not yet fully contextualized. The process dimension reveals inconsistent learning schedules, lecture-dominated instruction, weak adult-learning practices, and suboptimal monitoring. Product evaluation indicates positive outcomes in graduation, academic confidence, and access to administrative requirements for work or further study, but practical skills and socio-economic impacts remain limited. The study concludes that Package C policy implementation requires stronger socialization, tutor capacity development, contextual learning resources, flexible learning management, and local policy support to generate sustainable public value.

A chronic metabolic disease characterized by elevated blood glucose levels due to insulin resistance or impaired insulin secretion is classified as type 2 diabetes mellitus. The prevalence of diabetes continues to rise each year and has become one of the major challenges in global health due to its potential to cause serious complications, such as cardiovascular disease, kidney failure, neuropathy, and vision impairment. In addition to pharmacological therapy, the use of herbal plants is increasingly being developed as a complementary therapy because they are considered safer, more readily available, and contain bioactive compounds with potential antidiabetic properties. This review article aims to assess the effectiveness of several herbal plants namely cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia), fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum), bitter melon (Momordica charantia), and moringa (Moringa oleifera) in aiding the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus based on various research findings. This study employs a literature review method by collecting and analyzing various national and international scientific publications related to the antidiabetic activity of these four plants. The review results indicate that all plants have potential as adjunct therapies for diabetes because they contain active compounds such as flavonoids, polyphenols, cinnamaldehyde, charantin, quercetin, trigonelline, and saponins, which can help reduce blood glucose levels, optimize cellular response to insulin, increase GLUT4 activity, and help minimize oxidative damage. Based on the study results, moringa and cinnamon plants demonstrated the most consistent effectiveness in contributing to blood sugar control in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Thus, these herbal plants have the potential to be used as complementary therapies in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus; however, their use must still adhere to proper dosing and should not replace primary medical therapy.
