The teaching of Christian eschatology emphasizes the importance of understanding future events revealed through prophecy. Bible prophecy is the center of study in eschatology, which serves as a fundamental doctrine that needs to be taught in churches, families, and Christian religious education in schools. This teaching is important to guide students in understanding the meaning of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ as the way of salvation for eternal life. Through eschatological understanding, students are invited to prepare themselves spiritually with the belief that Jesus will come the second time to gather believers. In the first stage of resurrection, both Old and New Testament believers, as well as the living, will experience rapture to heaven with glorified bodies. Christian religious education in schools should teach students to be vigilant, work faithfully, develop skills, and understand responsibility for their actions. As such, eschatology provides the glorious hope of the Lord's return, shaping the character and spirituality of believers.

The purpose of this study is to find out the meaning of liberating truth based on the Gospel of John 8:31-32. In addition, this study can also provide good basic knowledge about the meaning of liberating truth that can only be obtained through faith in Jesus and its reflection for today's believers, especially so that they can know how to interpret and respond to the liberating truth. The research method in this writing is a qualitative method with an exegetical approach. In this study, the meaning of liberating truth based on the Gospel of John will be explored theologically and then confronted with the reality of understanding today's believers in how they respond to that freedom. From the results of the exegetical study of John 8:31-32, the Truth is God Himself, who is incarnated into the life experienced by humans. In addition, God also acts as a giver of truth that will free His oppressed people. Freedom means liberation from slavery, entering a new life in joy and satisfaction that was previously impossible. Through faith in Christ, believers experience a meaningful life that is freed from the darkness and prison of sin.  This means that faith in Christ not only saves from the penalty of sin, but also gives freedom to live in the will of God and glorify Him. The meaning of the liberating truth referred to in the Gospel of John is the truth that gives spiritual freedom, namely freeing humans from the power of the devil, from darkness, spiritual death and from the prison of sin. This truth is concerned with human salvation, the truth that comes through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Talking about the second coming of the Lord Jesus (eschatology) is one of the foundations of the Christian faith, so this needs to be known, taught and believed by every person of God. However, because there are many interpretations regarding the second coming of the Lord Jesus, correct and appropriate study is needed according to God's word.  Lack of understanding regarding the second coming of the Lord Jesus can lead to distorted interpretations that even contradict the truth of God's word itself. There are quite a few errors in the interpretation of the second coming of the Lord Jesus. On the contrary, it causes anxiety, fear, doubt, confusion, and even misdirection. This means that it is very important for us to know more about eschatology, to provide a better and correct understanding in waiting for the second coming of the Lord Jesus. At that time, if we have understood it in a paradigm shift that previously had a frightening perspective, but on the contrary, we are waiting for it with full confidence, a higher level of faith in God and even waiting for it with joy, because He is the one who picks up His people, He is the one who all this time in the world we worship, and also only to Him can we immortalize ourselves completely. Death is human nature and the end of human existence in life. Death is indeed the end of human existence, but humans as physical and spiritual creatures are not completely eliminated by death. The soul/spirit as the spiritual element of humans does not disappear along with the body. The soul is the identity of each human person who reveals the history of his life to God. The human soul will later become a means for God in the process of resurrecting humans. Death is not only something that ends human existence in life, but is also a time when humans perfect/complete the history of their life freely. A life history that shows identity, character, personality, and all the stories that have been experienced that show who he is authentically and finally, without being able to change again. The term human being as both a physical and spiritual creature indicates the unity of the two substances or elements that make up a human being, namely body and soul. This unity, apart from showing the integrity and equality of God's creations, also shows the specialness of humans from other creations. The unity between body and soul as the element that makes humans exist is able to explain the event of the resurrection of the dead which is believed by Christians.

In the midst of fast-paced times and the spread of various views, it feels like people are starting to forget the meaning of Christian brotherhood. It is as if the spirit of loving our fellow brothers and sisters like the Lord Jesus loved us is fading away. Now, modern humans are more likely to be "indifferent" to other people, and feel confident in determining themselves. Is this view true? What are the causes and bad effects of this wrong attitude? Can we overcome this prolonged crisis? What steps should be taken? We learn again to understand and appreciate Christian brotherly love.
