Background: A pregnant woman in the first trimester is more susceptible to emesis gravidarum, the cause of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy due to an increase in the hormone estrogen and Human Chorionic Gonadrotropin (HCG) poor diet before or in the early weeks of pregnancy, emesis gravidarium in the first trimester pregnant women still occurs and how to deal with it, most people still use pharmacological therapy. Objective: To determine the decrease in the frequency of nausea and vomiting before and after giving lemon aromatherapy to emesis Gravidarum in the first trimester of pregnancy. Method: This type of research with the sampling technique used in this research is probability sampling with simple random sampling method. Results: Before being given lemon aromatherapy to pregnant women in the first trimester who experienced emesis gravidarium on a severe scale, there were 22 people with a percentage of 40.7%, while 32 people with a percentage of 59.3%, after being given lemon aromatherapy for 7 days with the procedure described for pregnant women who experienced emesis gravidaium produced on a mild scale, 33 people with a percentage of 61.1%, while 21 people with a percentage of 38.9%. Conclusion: Lemon aromatherapy is effective for reducing emesis gravidarium in first trimester pregnant women.

Nausea and vomiting are symptoms that a reasonable and often happen in the first trimester of pregnancy. It usually occurs in the morning, but can occurs at any time including at night. This condition can cause dehydration or lack of fluid and electrolyte inbalance, hence the condition of pregnant mother's get worse. Lemon aromatherapy is one of alternative method to decrease nausea and vomiting in the first trimester of pregnancy. It provides relaxation and sedative by stimulating the limbic system. This study was conducted to find the effect of lemon aromatherapy to decrease nausea and vomiting in the first trimester of pregnancy. Design used in this study was pre-experiment (one-group pretest-posttest designed). The population were all pregnant women that have nausea and vomiting in the first trimester of pregnancy. The samples were 12 respondent taken by purposive sampling according to the inclusion criteria. The independent variable was lemon aromatherapy. While the dependent variables were nausea and vomiting in the first trimester of pregnancy. Data were collected using structured questionnaire and observation. Data were then analyzed using statistic test (wilcoxon signed rank test) with level of significance ??0.05. The result showed that giving lemon aromatherapy had an effect to decrease nausea and vomiting in the first trimester of pregnancy (p=0.002). There were differences of nausea and vomiting between pre-treatment lemon aromatherapy (x=8.50) and post-treatment lemon aromatherapy (x=4.25). It can be concluded that giving lemon aromatherapy could decreased nausea and vomiting in the first trimester of pregnancy. Lemon aromatherapy is useful to breathe when experiencing morning sickness, for relief, encouraging, refreshing, and improving mood, giving a relaxed feeling, comfortable and quiet. Recommendation for the nurse and other health profession to use lemon aromatherapy as alternative medication of nausea and vomiting in pregnant women.

Sectio caesarea (SC) is a labor process in which the baby is removed from a mother's stomach by incision of the abdomen. Complications that often arise are nausea and vomiting. For nonpharmacological therapies include aromatherapy. Lemon aromatherapy has been widely used by women as much as 40% to relieve nausea, vomiting, and 26.5% of them have been reported as an effective way to control the symptoms of nausea, vomiting. Objective : to determine the effect of aromatherapy lemon essential oil nausea vomiting post sectio caesarea patients with spinal anesthesia at RST Slamet Riyadi Surakarta. Research Method : using quantitative research form one group pre-post test design. The study population was all secsio saesarea surgery patients with a sample of 30 respondents. The sampling technique is Purposive Sampling. Results : The effect of lemon essential oil aromatherapy on the response to nausea and vomiting in post-sectio caesarea patients with spinal anesthesia, in postoperative sectio caesarea patients with spinal anesthesia at RST Slamet Riyadi Surakarta (p <0.001 < 0.05) which means Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.
