This study investigates students’ perceptions of Smalltalk2Me, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered conversational assistant designed to improve speaking skills in classroom learning. The main objective of this research is to explore how students perceive the tool’s effectiveness, usefulness, interactivity, and overall learning experience when using it for speaking practice. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through semi-structured interviews involving students who had used Smalltalk2Me as part of their English-speaking activities. The interview data were analyzed thematically to identify emerging patterns related to engagement, motivation, and skill development. The findings reveal that students view Smalltalk2Me as an effective and accessible tool that enhances speaking fluency and confidence since it allows practice anytime and anywhere. Students also appreciate its realistic conversation simulations and personalized feedback, which help them recognize pronunciation errors, improve vocabulary use, and refine sentence structure. Additionally, the AI assistant creates a supportive and low-anxiety learning environment, making learners more comfortable expressing themselves in English. Overall, the study concludes that Smalltalk2Me serves as a valuable supplementary tool for improving students’ speaking competence and fostering autonomous learning in technology-enhanced language classrooms.

This research aims to develop and modernize the employee payroll administration system at PDAM Batiwakkal Berau through the implementation of the Payroll System Website (SIMPEG). Previously, the process was conducted manually, leading to various challenges in the efficiency and accuracy of payroll data. In addressing these issues, we designed and implemented SIMPEG using the PHP programming language. The results include a significant improvement in the efficiency of the payroll process, minimizing human errors, and ensuring data accuracy. The use of SIMPEG also provides easy access and data management, making it an effective solution for modernizing employee administration at PDAM Batiwakkal Berau. It is expected that the findings of this research will contribute positively to enhancing performance and transparency in employee payroll data management.

The research entitled Use of Language in advertisements and broadcasts on TV. The formulation of the problem is (1) How is the use of the variety of spoken language? (2) How is the use of languageseen from the accuracy of the choice of words (diction)? (3) How is the code mixing that occurs in the use of the language, the method used is a qualitative descriptive method. The source of the data used in this research is the oral utterances delivered in broadcast news. Source of data used as research data is news that is broadcast starting from the morning and at night. Technique data collection in this study used the recording method with listening and listening techniques note technique. The results of the research show that (1) the use of speech variety is variety official (2) the use of diction, then 10 of the ten news used is obtained. Of the ten types of accuracy of diction analyzed, the results of the accuracy of the use of diction were obtained, as follows: use of special general words 6, use of words that are almost synonymous 5, use of denotative and connotative words 4, use of words that are similar in spelling 1, use of idioms 1, use of foreign endings 1, and use of continuity word choice 4 found inaccurate word choice. (3) the use of mixing Indonesian code into the language Region is code mixing into (inner code-mixing) due to code mixing carried out between local languages ​​and Indonesian. based on the results obtained the researcher's observation in depth, from the use of the language used is sufficient light what else is the local language and most of the errors found are correct used. Then mix the code that is widely used in broadcast news and advertisements should be avoided because it is news for the area and speak the local language.

In online media, writing errors regarding language are often found. One of them is online media in the process of writing news texts sometimes in a hurry because it is based on a predetermined deadline. This error occurs because it violates two of the three terms of word selection, namely "true" and "right". This study aims to (1) describe the form of language errors in terms of the use of word choice and italics contained in the DetikOto online news text, (2) explain the form of errors and language corrections in terms of the use of word choice and italics that dominantly appear in news texts. online detikOto. This research uses a descriptive method. The data of this research are in the form of errors in words and sentences containing language errors in the DetikOto news text. Data collection techniques used are reading, marking errors, identifying, analyzing, and concluding. While the instrument in this study is the researcher himself and the instructions for errors and improvements. Furthermore, the note-taking technique is used to write down the problems in the reading. The note-taking technique used is to record words or sentences which are a form of language error in the field of spelling. After being analyzed and described based on the form of language errors in the field of spelling, errors in spelling in the news text include: 1. Word Choice Errors, 2. Acronym Errors, 3. Title Writing, 4. Italicized Writing. Then concluded from the improvement of the sentence.

The purpose of this study is (1) to describe the errors in terms of syntax, which are found in online media Kompas.com; (2) to provide correction of language errors in terms of syntax, which are contained in Kompas.com online media. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The data collection technique used is the listening technique to obtain data by listening to the use of language and note-taking techniques to record words or sentences for analysis. The results of the analysis regarding the analysis of language errors can be concluded that there are forms of language errors in the field of syntax. One of them is the researcher determines the structure of sentences in news texts based on functions, categories, and roles.
