This study aims to examine the effect of debt policy and transfer pricing on tax avoidance, with audit quality as a moderating variable. The object of this study is non-banking companies included in the LQ45 index listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2021-2024, with a total sample of 117 firm-year observations. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and subgroup analysis (and chow test), by comparing the regression results between companies audited by Big Four and non-Big Four audit firms. The results indicate that debt policy has a positive and significant effect on tax avoidance, while transfer pricing does not have a significant effect on tax avoidance. Audit quality is proven to moderate the relationship between debt policy and tax avoidance by weakening the effect. However, audit quality does not moderate the relationship between transfer pricing and tax avoidance. These findings suggest that corporate financing decisions through debt remain an important mechanism in tax planning practices, while audit quality plays a crucial role as an external monitoring mechanism in limiting aggressive tax avoidance behavior.

The auditor's responsibilities include not only assessing the accuracy of financial statements and detecting fraud, but also evaluating the company's ability to continue its business on an ongoing basis. This responsibility arises from the expectations of shareholders and other stakeholders that auditors provide timely and relevant information about the company's future prospects to support rational and evidence-based investment decision-making. In this context, audit opinions related to business continuity are an important instrument in reducing information asymmetry between management and investors. This study aims to analyze the impact of liquidity, solvency, and audit quality on the issuance of business continuity declarations. The research sample consisted of coal mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange between 2014 and 2017, a period marked by fluctuations in commodity prices and global economic uncertainty. Logistic regression is used as an analysis method because dependent variables are dichotomous. The results showed that audit quality had a significant negative impact on the issuance of business continuity declarations, while liquidity and solvency did not have a significant impact on the issuance of the declarations, indicating that the factors of governance and auditor independence were more decisive than short-term financial conditions.

This study aims to analyze the influence of auditor competence, independence, and the use of audit technology on the quality of internal audits of Regional Inspectorates and their impact on the accountability of regional financial governance. Using a quantitative approach, this study involved 154 internal auditors from three regions who were analyzed using an explanatory survey method. The data analysis method used was multiple and simple linear regression to test the relationship between variables. The results showed that auditor competence had a positive and dominant influence on internal audit quality (β = 0.402, p = 0.000), independence also had a positive influence (β = 0.298, p = 0.000), while the use of audit technology had a limited positive influence (β = 0.187, p = 0.011). Furthermore, audit quality was proven to have a significant influence on the accountability of regional financial governance with a value of β = 0.588 and R² = 0.531. These findings confirm that better internal audit quality, influenced by higher auditor competence, strong independence, and more optimal utilization of audit technology, is a key prerequisite for achieving accountability in regional financial governance.

This study aims to analyze the effect of institutional ownership and firm size on auditdelay with audit quality as a moderating variable in 54 mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2021–2024 period. Using a quantitative approach with panel regression analysis, The audit delay is calculated using the number of days between the end of the financial year and issuance date of the audited financial statements; Institutionelles Eigentum is calculated by percentage institutional shareholding; firm size by the natural logarithm of total assets; and audit quality is proxied by the reputation of the Public Accounting Firm (Big Four and Non-Big Four). The results show that institutional ownership has no effect on audit delay, firm size has a negative effect on audit delay, and audit quality weakens the negative effect of both institutional ownership and firm size on audit delay. These findings highlight the need for companies and auditors to reconsider the effectiveness of monitoring mechanisms and audit quality to achieve more optimal audit completion.

This study aims to analyze the influence of internal audit quality on the effectiveness of hedging policies in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2020-2023. Using annual financial statements and annual reports, this study selected 30 companies using a purposive sampling method. The internal audit variable in this study was measured by three proxies: Internal Audit Charter, Internal Auditor Competence, and Internal Auditor Training. This study used multiple linear regression analysis as a hypothesis testing method. The results indicate that Internal Audit Charter Disclosure has a positive effect on hedging effectiveness disclosure, while Internal Auditor Competence Disclosure and Internal Auditor Training have insignificant and negative effects on hedging policy effectiveness. Based on these results, companies with robust internal audit charters and comprehensive components tend to be more proactive in disclosing hedging policies to avoid reputational or regulatory risks. Companies that disclose internal auditor competency and training through documents do not necessarily guarantee disclosure of hedging effectiveness. This indicates that documentation of internal auditor competency or training in annual reports does not necessarily reflect the overall company oversight.

This study is motivated by the ongoing digital transformation across various fields, including audit practices. The advancement of information technology has encouraged the adoption of various innovations, one of which is remote auditing, which allows audits to be conducted without direct face-to-face interaction with clients. At the same time, maintaining audit quality has become increasingly complex, requiring auditors to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, particularly in terms of professional skepticism. Auditor professionalism—including critical thinking skills, objectivity, and integrity—plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality audit outcomes. The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of remote auditing and professional skepticism on audit quality in external audit firms located in the Surakarta area. This research uses a quantitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to external auditors selected using purposive sampling, focusing on those with experience in conducting remote audits. The collected data were then analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine the influence of each independent variable on audit quality. The results indicate that, partially, professional skepticism has a significant effect on audit quality. This finding suggests that the higher an auditor's level of professional skepticism, the better the quality of the audit produced. In contrast, remote auditing does not show a significant partial influence on audit quality. However, when analyzed simultaneously, both variables—remote auditing and professional skepticism—have a significant effect on audit quality. In other words, while the use of audit technology is important, human factors remain the primary determinant of audit effectiveness. The implications of this study encourage audit firms not only to invest in digital audit systems but also to place greater emphasis on enhancing the competence and professionalism of auditors.

This study aims to analyze the effect of audit quality, earnings power, and risk-taking behavior on firm performance, while also testing the moderating role of the risk management committee. The research was conducted on 18 mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019–2023 period. A quantitative approach was employed using moderated regression analysis (MRA). The results show that only earnings power has a positive and significant effect on firm performance, whereas audit quality and risk-taking behavior have no significant effect. Additionally, the risk management committee strengthens the influence of audit quality on firm performance but does not moderate the relationship between earnings power or risk-taking behavior and performance. These findings suggest that internal oversight through the risk management committee is only effective in the context of audit but not yet optimal in managing earnings or risk-taking. This study contributes to corporate governance literature in the mining sector by emphasizing the importance of an active and strategic risk management committee.

The use of Big Data Analytics (BDA) in the financial audit process has altered the traditional audit method by improving audit quality and efficiency. The purpose of this study is to critically assess BDA's role in reducing audit delays and increasing audit quality. Using a literature review approach, this study intends to consolidate findings from national and international studies published between 2017 and 2024 that focus on the role of BDA in audit procedural transformation, fraud detection, and real-time decision support. The findings reveal that BDA not only allows auditors to review massive amounts of data in real time, but it also improves evidence collection and risk assessment. Audit delay has emerged as a significant variable in the relationship between BDA and audit quality, however its effectiveness varies depending on technical infrastructure and auditor expertise. Furthermore, this study identified implementation problems for BDA, such as data security threats, technology literacy gaps among auditors, and organizational readiness, all of which must be addressed in order for BDA to reach its full potential. This study adds to the theoretical and practical discussions about the strategic use of BDA to alter audit methods in the digital era.

This study examines the importance of professional ethics of accountants and its impact on audit quality, focusing on auditor integrity and responsibility. Through a case study of PT Great River International Tbk, this study identifies ethical violations in financial statements that result in legal consequences for auditors. Qualitative methods are used to explore ethical sensitivity between early and late semester accounting students, and confirm that auditor ethics and integrity have a significant influence on audit quality, while competence does not show the same influence. In addition, this study notes that the application of technologies such as AI and Big Data Analytics can improve audit efficiency, despite the challenges of high costs and data security risks. A survey in Jakarta showed that auditor competence and ethics contribute positively to audit quality, while auditor experience has no significant effect. The conclusion of this study confirms that professional ethics of accountants is very important to maintain audit integrity and quality, and recommends more attention to factors that influence the determination of audit materiality levels.

Pay close attention to financial performance. An organization's success is shown by its consistent improvement in financial performance compared to the prior period. Audit quality, independence of auditors, Good Corporate Governance (GCG) implementation, regulatory compliance, and the organization's board of directors and supervisory board all have an impact on financial performance. The objective of this research is to corroborate and analyze prior studies that have focused on Islamic audit quality, Islamic audit independence, Islamic audit boards and supervisory boards, sharia compliance, good corporate governance (gcg), and auditor independence as they pertain to Islamic banking's financial performance. Using data gathered from articles published in national journals to back up claims, this study integrates qualitative methodologies with a literature review approach. The researcher procured ten samples of sinta indexed and non-indexed publications from Google Scholar. The study's findings suggest that financial performance is influenced by factors such as the quality of sharia audits, the independence of auditors, the degree of sharia compliance, the application of good corporate governance (gcg), and the board of directors and supervisory board. The researcher is optimistic that future studies will investigate the elements impacting financial success in more depth.
