Domestic violence is a critical and increasing issue in Indonesia, as recorded by the National Commission on Violence Against Women. The government has addressed this issue by enacting Law Number 23 of 2004 on the Elimination of Domestic Violence (UU KDRT). This study aims to analyze the legal protections provided to DV victims under the law, identify implementation challenges, and evaluate improvement efforts. Using a qualitative approach with normative juridical methods, the research examines the provisions of UU KDRT and its practical application. The findings reveal that despite comprehensive protections, barriers such as patriarchal culture, social stigma, and limited protective infrastructure significantly hinder effectiveness. Policy reform, capacity building for law enforcement, and strengthening victim support infrastructure are proposed as key strategies. The study highlights the importance of cross-sectoral synergy to enhance the implementation of UU KDRT and ensure more effective legal protection for DV victims.

Violence against women remains a serious issue in Indonesia despite the existence of Law Number 23 of 2004 on the Elimination of Domestic Violence (KDRT). This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of this law in reducing violence against women and to identify the barriers in its implementation. The research method used is a normative legal approach, focusing on the analysis of relevant regulations and related policies. The findings show that although legal awareness has increased, many women victims of violence are still hindered by social and cultural factors in reporting the incidents. Institutional factors, such as limited resources in law enforcement agencies, also affect the effectiveness of protection. The implication of this research is the importance of a thorough evaluation of existing policies and the need to improve the capacity of law enforcement agencies to handle cases of violence against women more effectively.

The issue of criminalizing victims of sexual violence through the use of defamation charges is gaining public attention because it is often used to silence victims who try to share their experiences. This article describes how defamation provisions in the Criminal Code and the Electronic Information and Transactions Law are often used as instruments of Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPP) directed at victims, making victims even more vulnerable. The study uses a normative approach to assess the effectiveness of legal protection in the Sexual Violence Criminal Law (TPKS Law). The results of the analysis show that the TPKS Law does not explicitly include an anti-SLAPP mechanism, leaving open the possibility for the reported party to file a counter-report against the victim. Studies of the SPI, KPI, and Baiq Nuril cases show a recurring pattern, namely the use of defamation articles as a means of silencing victims and slowing down the process of exposing sexual violence. This article proposes an anti-SLAPP clause based on a progressive interpretation of the anti-revictimization principle in the TPKS Law. This proposal is reinforced by the push for the application of an early dismissal mechanism for reports that show strong indications of intimidation, so that victims receive maximum protection in the legal process.

This study compares the recovery systems for victims of psychosocial violence and traffic accidents from the perspective of Unlawful Acts (PMH) in Indonesia and Malaysia. Using library research, this study analyzes the legal framework, institutions, and social and psychological approaches used by both countries to support the victim recovery process. In Indonesia, the victim recovery system is still oriented towards material compensation and administrative settlements, with limited recognition of immaterial losses such as trauma and psychological disorders. In contrast, Malaysia has developed a victim-centered justice approach that positions victims as the subject of recovery, through regulations such as the Domestic Violence Act 1994 (Amendment 2017), the Road Transport Act 1987, and compensation mechanisms through the Motor Insurers’ Bureau of Malaysia (MIB) and the Victim Compensation Fund. This approach comprehensively integrates legal, social, and psychological recovery, including free counseling services through the One Stop Crisis Center (OSCC) and Talian Kasih 15999. The study's findings indicate that Malaysia has moved toward a holistic human recovery paradigm, while Indonesia still needs to strengthen its victim recovery system by addressing the psychological and social dimensions to align with the principles of restorative justice.

The goal of this research is to find out how the policy for preventing and handling sexual violence is implemented for students on UMJ campus. The theory used is from of T.B. Smith which consists of several indicators, namely a) Idealized Policy; b) Target Group; c) Implementing Organization; and d) Environmental Factors. This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Data obtained by observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that: 1) Idealized Policy, Muhammadiyah University Jakarta has derivative regulations, but they have not been massively informed; 2) Target Groups, namely this regulation is intended for students, but its implementation is not yet optimal; 3) Implementing Organization, UMJ has a PPKS institution which has a program concept, but students as a whole are not yet aware of the existence of this institution; 4) Environmental Factors, Permendikbudristek No. 30 of 2021 cannot be said to be completely in line with the Islamic campus cultural environment because the regulation contains the phrase 'without the victim's consent' which is biased in meaning. Apart from that, the shift in Islamic culture at UMJ was also caused by many factors, such as social, economic and political factors involving power relations.

The ease of access and availability of online game s on the internet opens up new opportunities as well as challenges. This challenge arises because not all online games are suitable for people to play. Many online games contain negative elements, such as violence, hate speech, and pornography. The provisions in Law No. 1 of 2024 on the Second Amendment to Law No. 19 of 2016 on the Amendment to Law No. 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions are the main basis for countermeasures in cyberspace. The type of research the author uses is Normative Legal Research (library research). This research is also called a document study conducted by examining library and secondary materials, especially written regulations or other legal products. The results show that the rapid growth of online gaming has led to serious problems such as the spread of hate speech, bullying, and pornographic content. The lack of clarity in regulations makes it difficult to enforce the law against criminals in the online gaming realm. To overcome this problem, collaboration between various parties is needed, with an emphasis on increasing the capacity of law enforcement, developing digital forensic technology, improving regulations, and increasing legal awareness among the public.

In today's era of globalization, cases of sexual violence against children are becoming more and more concerning, making parents have to be more vigilant in protecting their children. Children who often watch various pornographic or immoral shows will be easily motivated to practice what they see on their cellphone screens through the internet media, allowing violations of the norms that live in society and religious teachings, including sexual violence, the majority of whose victims are still children. This can be seen from the lack of filtering of the types of media that can be watched by children. Communication is one solution in preventing sexual violence against children. In addition to communication being established so that a family can be open and harmonious, in this case communication is very important for the role of parents to be able to provide protection to children through communication between the two so that parents can equip and protect children from crimes that lurk children. Marriage is a sacred goal in establishing a happy home that is eternal and based on the Almighty Godhead. The sacred bond of marriage is part of God's command, in order to fulfill basic, private needs. In fact, marriage is lived with full happiness, mutual love and meaning of life between husband and wife who were previously not the same, both in educational, family and cultural backgrounds. An ideal marriage is where a husband and wife unite their differences in unity of strength to form a happy household. In reality, not all married couples are able to realize happiness together in arranging their family's future life. Disagreements between husband and wife are triggered by differences in understanding in creating domestic happiness. Differences that were originally normal often lead to domestic violence. Married couples who are unable to control their emotions sometimes commit violence, whether by the wife or the husband, but in general domestic violence is carried out by the husband against his wife. This research tries to provide an overview of the triggers for domestic violence and solutions to overcome it.
