This study examines the role of teachers as Islamic counselors in addressing various psychological problems experienced by students, such as learning anxiety, academic stress, low self-confidence, difficulty controlling emotions, and social problems such as bullying. Teachers serve not only as instructors, but also as murabbi, mursyid, and moral role models in guiding students' spiritual and emotional development. The study used a qualitative method with a library study approach, where data were obtained through relevant literature related to Islamic counseling, Islamic education, and student psychology. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of Islamic counseling through strategies such as mau'izhah hasanah, tazkiyah an-nafs, prayer and dhikr, empathy development, and collaboration with guidance and counseling teachers and parents has been proven to reduce students' anxiety and stress levels, increase learning motivation, strengthen morals and character, and provide spiritual peace. Thus, teachers play a strategic role in creating a holistic educational environment and supporting students' psychological well-being. In addition, the implementation of Islamic counseling also plays a role in building students' mental resilience in facing academic and social pressures. In the long term, this will strengthen the Islamic values applied in students, while creating a more resilient and noble generation.

Education plays a crucial role in shaping the personality, morals, and spiritual values of students. In the Islamic perspective, education is not solely focused on the mastery of knowledge but also includes the cultivation of noble character, the strengthening of faith, and the enhancement of religiosity as a form of devotion to Allah Swt. Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren), as traditional Islamic educational institutions, have a strategic role in instilling these values through religious activities, the teaching of classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning), and the habituation of virtuous behavior. Pesantren serve not only as centers of learning but also as institutions for character formation and spiritual development. However, the forces of globalization and modernization bring new challenges in the form of cultural, technological, and informational influences that often conflict with Islamic values. Therefore, pesantren are required to develop adaptive, innovative, and relevant educational strategies that align with contemporary needs without losing their Islamic identity. One effective approach is the implementation of Islamic counseling, a process of psychological and spiritual guidance grounded in the Qur’an and Sunnah. Through this counseling, students are expected to strengthen their faith, enhance their religiosity, and develop moral resilience in facing the dynamics of modern life based on strong Islamic values.

This study aims to describe the role of counseling in the process of Islamic-based drug rehabilitation at the Khalid Bin Walid Islamic Syar'i Narcotics Rehabilitation Institute, Medan. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation which were then analyzed thematically. The results of the study indicate that individual counseling is the main core in helping participants understand the root of the problem of addiction, build motivation, and design strategies for a healthy, drug-free life. Group therapy complements the rehabilitation process by strengthening solidarity and social skills among participants. In addition, spiritual guidance based on Islamic values plays an important role in strengthening inner peace and commitment to change. However, the rehabilitation process faces significant challenges such as emotional instability of participants, minimal family support, and limited facilities and professional staff. To overcome this, the institution collaborates with various related institutions to support the legal, social, and medical aspects of rehabilitation. This study concludes that drug rehabilitation that integrates an Islamic-based bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach can be an effective model in the recovery of addicts, with the support of synergy between institutions and a conducive social environment.
