This study examines the role of halal tourism in enhancing destination competitiveness and strengthening the Islamic economy within the tourism sector. This research employs a systematic literature review to synthesize findings from relevant academic sources. The results indicate that halal tourism contributes significantly to destination competitiveness by increasing tourist arrivals and encouraging product diversification. In addition, it supports the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and promotes local economic growth through a multiplier effect. Halal tourism also fosters ethical business practices and sustainable tourism development aligned with Islamic principles. However, its implementation faces key challenges, including limited infrastructure, complex halal certification procedures, and perceptions of exclusivity among non-Muslim tourists. Therefore, strategic efforts are required to improve Muslim-friendly infrastructure, streamline certification processes, strengthen MSME capacity through training and digitalization, and adopt inclusive branding strategies. These measures are expected to enhance the competitiveness, resilience, and sustainability of halal tourism destinations in the global market.

The development of technology in the era of globalization has brought significant changes in society, particularly through the emergence of the internet and social media such as WhatsApp, X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, and TikTok, which facilitate rapid information dissemination. This development has also given rise to a new profession, namely content creators, who produce and share content in the form of images, videos, or text for branding, professional purposes, or self-expression, often resorting to sensationalism to attract audience attention. On the other hand, the ease of access to social media has also triggered the spread of negative content, including pornography, as evidenced by Komdigi/Kominfo data showing millions of blocked negative content, with X being one of the dominant platforms. In Islamic perspective, anything that leads to adultery is prohibited as stated in QS. Al-Isra verse 32. A prominent case is Dea OnlyFans (Gusti Ayu Dewanti) who was arrested for distributing pornographic content through OnlyFans and Google Drive, charged under the Pornography Law and ITE Law, and found guilty in the Supreme Court Decision Number 2086 K/Pid.Sus/2023. This study discusses 1) How are the differences in judges' considerations at the District Court, High Court, and Cassation? 2) Can the Supreme Court judges' considerations provide a deterrent effect? This research uses a descriptive method with normative legal research based on literature study, using primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials.

This study aims to describe the implementation of school promotion at SDI Technopreneur An Nadwah as an effort to increase the interest of prospective new students. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, informal interviews, and document analysis. The results show that the basic concept of SDI Technopreneur An Nadwah is based on the national curriculum integrated with technopreneurship programs, tahfiz, and the cultivation of Islamic character habits. The promotional strategies used include publication through social media, school branding programs, collaboration with PAUD/TK institutions, open house activities, and the distribution of printed media. Promotional implementation is carried out in a structured manner through the creation of digital content, the organization of public events, and the provision of digital-based PPDB (new student admission) information services. The obstacles encountered include limited promotional human resources, content consistency, and competition among schools; however, these can be addressed through the formation of a dedicated promotion team, strengthening the school’s flagship content, and optimizing digital media. This study concludes that effective school promotion can enhance institutional visibility and attract the interest of prospective new students more optimally.

This community service program aims to develop an empowerment model for Etawa goat milk micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Kepuh Klagen Village, Wringinanom District, Gresik Regency through an Islamic Social Entrepreneurship (ISE) approach. Kepuh Klagen Village has significant economic potential in Etawa goat farming; however, MSME actors face several challenges, including limited halal-thayyib-based production capacity, low literacy in Islamic business management and finance, weak branding and marketing strategies, and the absence of sustainable collaboration among farmers. This program employed a participatory approach through mentoring, training, and capacity building activities. The implementation stages included identifying potentials and problems, providing training on Islamic Social Entrepreneurship values and Islamic business ethics, improving production quality based on halal-thayyib standards, strengthening Islamic financial management practices, and developing digital marketing capabilities. The results indicate an increase in MSME actors’ understanding of Islamic social entrepreneurship, improvements in production hygiene and product quality, and the emergence of collaborative awareness among Etawa goat milk entrepreneurs. The ISE approach proved effective not only in enhancing economic value but also in strengthening social responsibility, spiritual values, and business sustainability. This study aims to uncover public perception of Islamic banking in Jember Regency as well as the factors that cause low account ownership in Islamic banks, even though the majority of the population is Sunni Muslim. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through direct interviews with people who do not choose Islamic banks as financial institutions. The results of the study show that the low level of public knowledge about Islamic banking systems and products is the main factor influencing their decisions. In addition, promotions carried out by Islamic banks are considered less effective and do not directly touch the needs and understanding of the community. The lack of supporting facilities such as ATMs and service offices also strengthens the perception that Islamic banks are not significantly different from conventional banks. Weak branding and education cause Islamic banking products to be less attractive in the eyes of the public. Therefore, a more intensive education strategy and a promotional approach that directly touches the community, as well as an improvement of basic service facilities so that Islamic banks can provide optimal services and increase public trust. This study recommends strengthening Islamic financial literacy and expanding access to services as strategic steps to encourage Islamic financial inclusion in Jember.

This research aims to analyze the branding strategy implemented by the Public Relations (PR) division of the Museum of Islamic Indonesia K.H. Hasyim Asy’ari (MINHA) in developing the identity of Indonesian Islam. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis applies Sicco Van Gelder’s brand strategy theory, which consists of three main dimensions: brand positioning, brand identity, and brand personality. The findings indicate that MINHA’s PR strategically and consistently implements branding through three key aspects: organizing public events, utilizing social media, and incorporating architectural design to reinforce the identity of Indonesian Islam. These strategies have successfully shaped the museum’s image as inclusive, educational, and youth-friendly, presenting a moderate and tolerant face of Indonesian Islam. The role of PR extends beyond promotion to become a driving force in conveying the narrative of Indonesian Islam through adaptive communication approaches. This study recommends optimizing additional digital platforms and developing an official website to further strengthen the museum’s branding on a broader scale.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of content marketing strategies in the Islamic banking industry in Indonesia, with a focus on the effectiveness of content in enhancing audience engagement and building the image of Islamic brands. The research was conducted through a literature review of various academic sources and previous studies, as well as an analysis of the content marketing of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) on its YouTube channel as the main object. In the digital context, the types of content used include educational videos, marketing videos, and collaborations with influencers. The findings indicate that visual, educational, interactive, and authentic content has a significant impact on driving digital engagement and increasing brand awareness. Meanwhile, promotional content delivered through influencers tends to be more effective when preceded by strong brand image reinforcement, enabling consumers to develop a more positive perception of the institution. Further analysis reveals that BSI’s YouTube channel has demonstrated consistency in branding, Islamic positioning, and delivering educational messages. However, audience interaction remains limited, as reflected in the minimal responses to comments, underutilization of community features, and subscriber growth lagging behind major banks such as BCA. This situation highlights the need to optimize strategies through strengthening two-way communication, delivering serial educational content, employing more strategic calls-to-action (CTA), and integrating with the official website and other digital platforms. The study concludes that the success of content marketing in Islamic banking heavily depends on value relevance, publication consistency, and the ability to build sustainable interaction with audiences, thereby supporting increased loyalty and customer acquisition. These findings provide important contributions to designing effective and sustainable digital communication strategies that align with ethical principles and Islamic values.

This program is designed to improve Islamic financial literacy, introduce business contracts in accordance with sharia, and provide halal digital marketing training. The method of implementing the activity includes a participatory approach with various stages, ranging from problem identification, training, mentoring, to success evaluation. The target of the program is MSME actors in certain regions who have great potential to adopt the concept of sharia economics in their businesses. The results of this activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the concept of sharia economics, followed by changes in business practices that are more in line with Islamic principles. Some participants began to implement sharia contracts in their transactions, access sharia financing, and take advantage of halal branding-based digital marketing. This program also found several obstacles, such as low initial understanding of the sharia economy, limited access to Islamic financial institutions, and resistance to changes in the business system. However, through intensive strategy education and support from various parties, most of these challenges can be overcome. The conclusion of this activity is that business development based on the sharia economy can be a solution for MSMEs in increasing their competitiveness in the wider market. The next program recommendations include strengthening digital-based education, increasing access to sharia capital, and establishing a sharia-based MSME community as a forum for collaboration and sustainable business development.
