The rapid development of the digital era has significantly impacted adolescents by increasing academic stress due to academic demands, performance pressure, and technological distractions. This condition is often exacerbated by low levels of emotion regulation, which negatively affect students’ learning focus and psychological well-being. Therefore, effective interventions are needed to help students manage their emotions adaptively. This community service program aims to enhance emotional balance and reduce academic stress through a mindfulness-based intervention at MA Plus Nururrohmah. The program employed a participatory approach with stages of preparation, implementation, and evaluation. It was conducted in two main sessions: a mindfulness session delivered by Erlin Kurnia Sri Rejeki, M.Pd.I, and an interactive stress-release session facilitated by Estria Solihatun Nurjannah, M.Pd. Data were collected qualitatively through observation, documentation, and analysis of students’ responses and participation. The results show improved emotional awareness, better recognition of stress conditions, and increased student engagement. Additionally, students demonstrated more positive emotional states after the program. Thus, mindfulness implementation contributes positively to enhancing emotion regulation and reducing academic stress and has potential as a sustainable school-based mental health intervention model.

This study examines the transformation of the authority of Islamic courts in Indonesia across the colonial and post-colonial periods and their contribution to the formation of national law. Employing a normative-juridical method with historical, statutory, and conceptual approaches drawn from library sources, the research traces how a once-autonomous Islamic judicial institution was reshaped by Dutch colonial legal politics, from the recognition implied by the receptio in complexu theory to the systematic reduction of competence under the receptie theory through Staatsblad 1882 No. 152 and Staatsblad 1937 No. 116 and 610. The findings show that the colonial intervention narrowed the jurisdiction of religious courts, particularly by removing inheritance disputes, yet did not extinguish their existence. After independence, the receptie exit and receptie a contrario theories provided the ideological basis for restoring Islamic judicial authority, institutionalized through the establishment of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Law No. 14 of 1970, Law No. 1 of 1974, Law No. 7 of 1989, the Compilation of Islamic Law, and Law No. 3 of 2006. The study implies that the religious court has become an integral pillar of the national judicial system rather than a colonial remnant.

This study is grounded in the observation that online game addiction has emerged among learners at SMP Muhammadiyah Bantul. In the present digital era, playing games through the internet has become tightly woven into adolescents' everyday routines. Easy accessibility together with the broad spectrum of entertainment provided has pushed the popularity of online games upward. However, immoderate engagement may foster addictive patterns that adversely affect students' academic performance, social interaction, physical condition, and mental well-being. Hence, a workable intervention is required to lower the level of dependence. The purpose of this research is to decrease learners' online game addiction by means of group counseling services that draw on the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework combined with cognitive restructuring techniques. A one-group pretest-posttest experimental scheme was adopted in this work. The findings reveal a notable reduction in the students' online game addiction scores, evidenced by the paired sample t-test significance value (two-tailed) of 0.000, which falls below 0.05. Background: Cesarean section (CS) is a mode of delivery frequently used in women with high-risk pregnancies. Over the past two decades, the rate of CS has increased significantly worldwide. Although CS can be a life-saving intervention when performed based on appropriate medical indications, it may also result in adverse outcomes for both mothers and infants and increase the clinical and economic burden on healthcare systems. Limiting CS rates can be achieved through the control of modifiable risk factors. Purpose: This study aimed to describe the factors contributing to the occurrence of cesarean section. Method: This study employed a descriptive cross-sectional design and was conducted at Singasana Regional General Hospital, Tabanan Regency, from February to May 2025. The study sample consisted of 259 women who underwent cesarean delivery during the period 2020–2024. Data were collected through a review of medical records using a checklist instrument. Univariate analysis was performed to describe maternal characteristics and indications for cesarean section. Result: Most cesarean deliveries occurred in women aged 20–35 years (77.99%) and in multiparous women (48.65%). The most dominant maternal factor was a previous cesarean section (37.6%), while the most common fetal factor was fetal distress (42.7%). Conclusion: Maternal age of 20–35 years, multiparity, a history of previous cesarean section, and fetal distress were the dominant factors associated with cesarean delivery. These findings highlight the importance of early antenatal risk screening and optimal labor management to reduce unnecessary cesarean sections and improve maternal and neonatal safety.

This study aims to formulate an engineering strategy for water quality management and pollution control in the Tiku Sub-watershed, North Musi Rawas Regency. The study used a descriptive approach by integrating selected technical data from a dissertation-based assessment with semi-structured interviews involving 20 key informants representing technical agencies, village and subdistrict governments, community leaders, artisanal and small-scale gold mining actors, farmers, and riverbank communities. The analysis focused on water quality status, water availability and demand, pollution sources, perceived impacts, implementation constraints, and priority interventions. The results showed that the Tiku Sub-watershed is under significant environmental pressure. The average pollution index was 6.65, indicating a moderately polluted status, while mercury, cadmium, phosphate, and ammonia were the dominant parameters of concern. Surface water availability remained relatively adequate at 45,842,699.79 m3/year, and the average Criticality Ratio was 0.266; however, the water pollution carrying capacity was poor. Interview results indicated that mercury use and processing waste from artisanal gold mining were the most urgent issue (35%), followed by land-cover change and riparian degradation. The recommended strategy combines mercury-free processing technology, alternative livelihood development, cross-sectoral supervision, riparian rehabilitation, and transparent water-quality monitoring. The findings imply that watershed engineering should integrate technical, institutional, and socio-economic interventions.

Background: The rising global burden of hypertension presents a massive public health challenge, with its mitigation heavily tied to modifiable dietary factors. Among these, the escalating intake of sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) has emerged as a significant dietary risk. Objectives: This study aims to synthesize recent epidemiological evidence regarding the association between various types of sweetened beverages and the risk of hypertension. Methods: A narrative-analytical review was conducted by retrieving observational studies and meta-analyses published between 2023 and 2026 from the Scopus database using explicit keyword combinations targeting SSBs, prospective cohorts, and blood pressure outcomes. Findings: Synthesized data reveals that high consumption of traditional SSBs significantly increases hypertension risk by 13% (RR: 1.13) and elevates systolic blood pressure in children, primarily driven by excess liquid calories. Artificially sweetened beverages (ASBs) show a 14% risk increase in observational data, potentially confounded by reverse causation, whereas acute pure fructose ingestion triggers rapid transient blood pressure elevation. Energy drinks induce rapid 24-hour blood pressure spikes due to high caffeine content. Conversely, 100% pure fruit juice exerts a protective effect (RR: 0.74) via endothelial-improving polyphenols, while honey demonstrates a neutral effect. Implications: Public health policies must implement aggressive regulatory interventions, such as taxation on SSBs and energy drinks, alongside targeted dietary counseling that differentiates between harmful liquid sugars and protective natural fruit juices.
