Biology learning in Indonesia is still predominantly teacher-centered, limiting students’ opportunities to actively develop critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and other 21st-century competencies. Students often receive information passively, resulting in low engagement and limited ability to apply concepts in real-life contexts. Therefore, innovative learning models are needed to support more meaningful and student-centered learning. This study aims to review the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in Biology education and analyze its contribution to the development of students’ 21st-century skills. The study employed a literature review method by analyzing 20 research articles published between 2022 and 2026. Articles were obtained through Google Scholar searches and selected based on relevance to Biology education, focus on PjBL implementation, and open-access availability. Data collection involved identification, screening, selection, and documentation of related studies, while data analysis used a qualitative descriptive approach. The findings indicate that PjBL effectively improves students’ cognitive achievement, conceptual understanding, scientific literacy, creativity, and critical thinking skills. In addition, PjBL enhances collaboration, communication, problem-solving abilities, learning motivation, and life skills through contextual and authentic project activities. Students become more actively involved in investigating real-world problems, designing solutions, and producing meaningful learning outputs. Furthermore, the integration of STEM approaches, digital media, blended learning, and Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) strengthens the effectiveness of PjBL in Biology learning. In the learning process, educators often face challenges in helping students achieve optimal learning outcomes. One of the contributing factors is the dominance of teacher-centered learning models, which frequently leads to low student engagement and reduced motivation. This condition affects students’ curiosity, particularly in Science learning, which requires active participation and exploration. Therefore, innovative teaching materials are needed to encourage student involvement while simultaneously stimulating their curiosity. One alternative that can be utilized is the Student Worksheet (Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik/LKPD), which can be designed systematically and contextually to support active learning. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using LKPD in enhancing students’ curiosity in Grade VII Science learning at SMPN 1 Sanrobone. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The findings indicate a significant increase in students’ curiosity after the implementation of LKPD, as shown by improvements in questioning behavior, interest in the material, and the ability to observe and explore scientific phenomena. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of LKPD is effective in fostering students’ curiosity and contributes to a more interactive and meaningful Science learning experience.

Anesthesiology and emergency care require rapid and accurate clinical decision-making. Artificial intelligence (AI) offers substantial potential to support triage, monitoring, and decision-making in critical and emergency anesthesiology settings. This scoping review maps the use of AI in clinical decision-making and emergency patient management in anesthesiology and identifies existing research gaps. A literature search was conducted in ScienceDirect, PubMed, Cochrane Library, and Google Scholar for articles in Indonesian or English published between 2020 and 2025. Study selection followed Tricco’s scoping review framework, and methodological quality was assessed using Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) tools. Ten articles met the inclusion criteria. AI was shown to improve triage accuracy and efficiency (predictive accuracy up to 99.1% and reductions in waiting time of around 30%). Machine learning models effectively predicted critical care needs and emergency risk, while AI-based clinical decision support systems (CDSS) enhanced the speed and quality of clinical decisions. Key challenges include data bias, ethical and privacy issues, clinician readiness, and integration with hospital information systems. AI and CDSS have strong potential to improve patient safety and clinical decision-making in emergency anesthesiology. Strengthening AI literacy, supportive regulation, and transparent, context-appropriate predictive models are needed for safe and sustainable implementation.

This study examines the effectiveness of the Early Warning System (EWS) in anticipating and responding to mental health crises in conflict-affected regions of the Middle East through a systematic review of 47 scholarly articles published between 2014 and 2024. The meta-regression findings indicate a significant contribution of EWS implementation to the reduction of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms with a coefficient of β = -0.67 (p < .001), as well as depressive symptoms with a coefficient of β = -0.59 (p < .001) among populations directly affected by armed conflict. Among 12,456 respondents analysed, 73.8% reported a reduction in anxiety symptoms following the implementation of EWS, with an effect size of d = 0.82 (95% CI [0.76, 0.88]). Digitally based early warning systems demonstrated a significantly higher level of effectiveness (OR = 2.34, 95% CI [1.98, 2.70]) than conventional systems, which are more manual and reactive. Moderator analysis indicated that age (β = -0.31, p < .01) and the duration of exposure to conflict (β = 0.44, p < .001) play important roles in moderating the relationship between EWS interventions and various mental health indicators. These findings expand upon the conclusions of Fu et al. (2020) and Salesi (2023), which previously explored psychosocial interventions in conflict zones, by adding a new dimension—examining digital technology and predictive algorithms within EWS frameworks. The study explicitly demonstrates that integrating machine learning models into EWS can enhance the predictive accuracy of potential mental health crises to 84.6%, representing a novel contribution that has not been comprehensively documented in prior academic literature

Teenagers today are filled with a number of rapid technological changes and developments. From a financial perspective, teenagers at this stage have a growing ability to understand the principles of saving and spending money, not only the basics, but also long-term goals. The three main areas that parents should focus on are income, savings, and responsible spending (shopping or investment). Problems that often occur in society (including teenagers) are such as wasteful living (lifestyle), online loan debt, and being trapped in online gambling. The emergence of several entertainment venues, cafes, and angkringan makes spending difficult for teenagers to control. The methods used in this service are lectures, simulations, discussions and questions and answers regarding the usefulness and benefits of understanding financial literacy. The results of this service show the different nature and patterns of financial management of teenagers requiring presentation patterns that need to be adjusted. In the implementation of the activity, there were participants (some) who were more enthusiastic or serious about this series of training. Presenters (speakers) require the application of andragogy model learning. This model is intended so that the presenter (material provider) and participants are not bored, comfortable in communicating and feedback appears quickly. In the future, training or workshops will be more directed to more technical or specific, for example capital market investment, mutual funds or other investment models.
