Hospitalization in preschool children often causes anxiety due to several factors, such as unfamiliar environments, uncomfortable medical procedures, and separation from parents. This condition can negatively affect the child’s psychological state, which may influence both the healing process and adaptation during hospital care. Therefore, it is important to understand the description of anxiety experienced by children during hospitalization so that health workers can provide appropriate interventions. This study aimed to describe the anxiety caused by hospitalization among preschool children admitted to the Parkit Ward of Qolbu Insan Mulia (QIM) Hospital Batang. The study employed a descriptive quantitative design with a purposive sampling technique. A total of 65 preschool children aged 3–6 years who met the inclusion criteria were recruited as samples. The instrument used was the Spence Children’s Anxiety Scale (SCAS) Preschool Parent Report, which was completed by parents to assess the children’s level of anxiety. Data analysis was carried out using frequency distribution to present both the respondents’ characteristics and the level of anxiety. The results showed that most respondents were 5 years old (36.9%) and predominantly male (61.5%). A majority of the respondents had never been hospitalized before (63.1%), making hospitalization a first-time experience that could trigger anxiety. The highest proportion of anxiety levels was in the mild category (38.4%), followed by moderate anxiety (30.7%). Only a small proportion of children experienced severe anxiety. In conclusion, preschool children undergoing hospitalization in the Parkit Ward of QIM Hospital Batang mostly experienced mild to moderate anxiety. These findings provide an important overview for nursing staff in designing interventions to reduce children’s anxiety. Suggested approaches include play therapy, effective communication, and active parental involvement in the care process. With such strategies, it is expected that children’s anxiety can be reduced, making hospitalization a more adaptive experience that supports the recovery process.

Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) is an emergency condition in which a group of symptoms of acute ischemic chest pain are part of coronary heart disease (CHD) and require immediate treatment. The prevalence of CHD in Aceh is higher than the national average of 1.6% or around 20,244 people. This study is expected to describe the prevalence, number of deaths (mortality) and average length of stay (LOS) of STEMI patients during hospitalization so that this data can significantly enhance knowledge for health practitioners and be used as a warning to be more aware of STEMI incidents in Aceh. This study uses a retrospective descriptive research design with a research sample of all patients diagnosed with ACS with ST-Elevation who were hospitalized at Dr. Fauziah Hospital in June 2022-June 2023. The data collection technique is total sampling obtained from medical record data. It was concluded that the majority of patients were male, namely 80.7% (71 patients), the highest age was 45-60 years with 45 cases (51.1%). History of CHD was the dominant risk factor (62% of cases). The most dominant type of ACS with ST-Elevation was Anterior STEMI as many as 32 cases (52.3%) with onset <12 hours (51% of cases) and predominantly came with KILLIP I (62.5% of cases). The most dominant management was with conservative therapy 56 cases (61.4%). The average length of patient care was 5 days (45.1%) and the most outcomes with outpatients as many as 72 cases (81.8%).

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), hypertension, anemia, nephrotic syndrome, and urinary tract infection (UTI) are interrelated clinical conditions frequently encountered in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). This case report presents a 33-year-old woman who was admitted with complaints of generalized weakness, accompanied by headache, generalized edema, and pruritus. Laboratory findings revealed hyperglycemia (>300 mg/dL), elevated blood pressure (210/120 mmHg), increased urea and creatinine levels, 2+ proteinuria, and microcytic hypochromic anemia (hemoglobin ranging from 7.9 to 9.9 g/dL). Urinalysis showed leukocyturia, hyaline casts, and bacteriuria. The patient was diagnosed with uncontrolled T2DM, hypertensive urgency, microcytic hypochromic anemia, nephrotic syndrome, and UTI. Management included basal-bolus insulin regimen, combined antihypertensive therapy, packed red cell transfusions, and supportive treatments. Throughout the hospitalization, improvements were observed in hemoglobin levels and blood pressure, although subjective symptoms such as fatigue and headache remained fluctuating. This case highlights the importance of comprehensive and multidisciplinary management in patients with complex multisystem chronic conditions to prevent complications and improve clinical outcomes.

Pets and livestock play an important role in everyday life, both economically and socially. However, both require optimal care and health to ensure their well-being and prevent potential health risks to humans. Annajah Vet Care, Pet & Poultry Shop comes as a veterinary clinic that provides comprehensive health services, such as vaccinations, hospitalization, grooming, and provision of feed for livestock and pets. Despite operating for two years, the clinic does not yet have a strong and consistent visual identity, as evidenced by the use of two similar logos that do not reflect the brand image. Promotion is also still limited to physical media and conventional methods such as word of mouth, with no utilization of social media. Surveys show that the majority of people recognize Annajah Vet Care as an animal health service provider, but brand awareness of its role as a pet shop is still low. To overcome this challenge, concept design was conducted as a strategic effort to strengthen brand identity through the application of a consistent and representative visual identity. In addition, the use of social media was optimized to reach a wider audience and support effective promotional efforts. Rebranding is expected to increase brand awareness, improve public perception of the services offered. With the right branding approach, Annajah Vet Care is expected to be able to compete in the market.
