Social media has become a primary means of communication for adolescents in the digital era, yet excessive use can create complex impacts on their academic, social, and psychological well-being. The positive effects include expanding cross-regional friendships, improving communication skills, strengthening social relationships, and increasing learning motivation through peer interaction and support. Conversely, the negative effects include declining academic performance due to reduced focus, neglect of responsibilities, weakened language skills caused by the dominance of informal language, a higher risk of digital crimes such as fraud and identity theft, as well as mental-health issues including anxiety, depression, social-comparison pressure, and cyberbullying. To minimize these risks, preventive efforts are needed, such as enhancing digital literacy for both adolescents and parents, promoting ethical and safe online behavior, regulating screen time, strengthening parental guidance, implementing digital-wellness policies in schools, providing counseling services, developing more youth-friendly platforms, and enforcing government regulations on online safety. This study emphasizes that the wise, safe, and productive use of social media can only be achieved through collaborative efforts involving adolescents, families, schools, communities, platform providers, and the government.

The implementation of Patient Safety Goals remains a major challenge in hospital management, particularly in ensuring consistent compliance among nurses. This study aims to analyze the influence of nurses’ knowledge and motivation on the implementation of Patient Safety Goals, with clinical leadership positioned as a mediating variable. A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed in a general hospital in Jakarta, Indonesia. Data were collected from 119 nurses across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and operating units using structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS, supported by the Three-Box Method to assess the level of variable achievement. The results indicate that nurses’ knowledge and motivation have a significant direct effect on clinical leadership. Clinical leadership also demonstrates a significant positive effect on the implementation of Patient Safety Goals. Furthermore, clinical leadership plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between both nurses’ knowledge and motivation and the implementation of Patient Safety Goals. The model explains 76.67% of the variance in Patient Safety Goal implementation, highlighting the strategic role of clinical leadership in translating individual competencies into safe clinical practices. These findings contribute to healthcare management literature by reinforcing the importance of clinical leadership as an organizational mechanism that strengthens patient safety performance. From a managerial perspective, the study emphasizes that improving patient safety outcomes requires not only enhancing nurses’ knowledge and motivation, but also systematically developing clinical leadership competencies. Hospital management is encouraged to invest in leadership development programs, supportive supervision, and non-punitive incident reporting systems to ensure sustainable implementation of Patient Safety Goals.

Bullying is a psychosocial hazard that can occur in the school environment and may negatively affect students’ mental health, social interactions, and learning processes. Bullying can take various forms, including physical, verbal, and psychological actions that occur repeatedly and cause victims to experience emotional distress, decreased learning motivation, and feelings of insecurity at school. This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to increase high school students’ knowledge and awareness regarding the dangers of bullying and its prevention through the principles of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). The methods used in this activity included delivering educational materials through lectures, conducting question-and-answer sessions to assess students’ initial understanding, and facilitating interactive discussions to encourage active participation. Monitoring and evaluation were also conducted to assess the effectiveness of the activity. The results of the program indicated a significant improvement in students’ understanding and awareness of the forms, impacts, and prevention strategies related to bullying in the school environment. Students also demonstrated a more critical attitude toward bullying behavior and a greater awareness of the importance of creating a safe, healthy, and respectful school environment. The application of an OSH-based approach in bullying prevention is expected to strengthen the safety culture in schools and support the development of a conducive learning environment for all students.

This study aims to determine the influence of compensation, occupational safety and health, and work motivation on employee job statisfaction. Data were collected using a questionnaire distributed to employees of CV. Rizky Berdikari Mandiri. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling, with a total of 53 respondents. The analytical tool used is descriptive (primary data) by using a questionnaire which is assisted by a likert scale and given to respondents. The analytical tool used is SPSS software version 29. The results of the study show that partially Compensation and Occupational Safety and Health (K3) have a positive and significant effect on employee job statisfaction, while Work Motivation does not have a significant effect on employee job statisfaction at the CV. Rizky Berdikari Mandiri. However, the study also found that work motivation does not have a significant effect on employee job satisfaction at CV. Rizky Berdikari Mandiri. This finding suggests that while motivation is often seen as a driving factor for employee performance, other factors, such as compensation and workplace safety, may have a more direct and immediate influence on job satisfaction in this particular context. It is possible that the intrinsic and extrinsic motivators currently in place at the company may not be as effective or prominent in comparison to compensation and safety initiatives. The study concludes that while compensation and occupational safety are significant drivers of job satisfaction, work motivation should still be addressed but perhaps with more targeted strategies to ensure that employees are adequately motivated and engaged. Further research could explore how different types of motivation—intrinsic and extrinsic—affect employee satisfaction in various organizational settings.

Patient safety is one of the main components in determining the quality of hospital services. Every hospital is required to minimize incidents that may harm patients. Among various patient safety incidents, falls in children rank second after medication errors, making them a serious issue that requires attention. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between nurses’ motivation and compliance in conducting fall risk assessments with the incidence of falls among pediatric patients in the inpatient ward of QIM Hospital Batang. This study employed a descriptive quantitative design with a correlational approach. A total of 44 nurses who met the inclusion criteria were recruited as respondents. Research instruments included a motivation questionnaire, an observation sheet on compliance, and records of patient fall incidents. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank test to measure the strength of the relationship between variables. The findings showed that most respondents (84.1%) had a high level of motivation, and all nurses (100%) demonstrated full compliance in performing fall risk assessments according to standard operating procedures. During the study period, no cases of pediatric falls were reported in the inpatient ward, indicating the effectiveness of fall risk assessment implementation. Statistical analysis produced a p-value of 0.011, indicating a significant relationship between motivation and nurses’ compliance. These findings emphasize that work motivation plays an important role in maintaining nurses’ consistency in adhering to safety procedures. Motivation can be enhanced through managerial support, continuous training, and the establishment of a strong patient safety culture, thereby reducing the risk of falls and improving the overall quality of healthcare services.

Compliance of healthcare and medical personnel with established procedures—particularly Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)—is crucial for ensuring patient safety, high-quality healthcare services, and the sustainable operation of hospitals. This study analyzes the influence of Organizational Support, Motivation, and the Completeness of ERM SOPs on personnel compliance at Petrokimia Gresik Driyorejo Hospital. A quantitative approach using a survey method was employed. The study population included all healthcare and medical personnel directly involved with ERM SOPs. Through purposive sampling, 85 respondents were selected. Data collection used closed-ended questionnaires tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression through SPSS version 25. The analysis found that Organizational Support (X1), Motivation (X2), and ERM SOP Completeness (X3) simultaneously had a statistically significant effect on Compliance (Y), with the F-test showing F_calculated > F_table and significance < 0.05. Individually, all three independent variables showed a positive and significant relationship with compliance. Among them, ERM SOP Completeness had the greatest influence, followed by Motivation and then Organizational Support. These findings emphasize that clear, comprehensive, and accessible SOPs are essential in guiding staff behavior and ensuring consistent adherence to risk management protocols. Additionally, motivated employees supported by the organization are more likely to comply with procedures and internal policies. Therefore, organizational strategies should not only focus on developing complete SOPs but also on fostering a supportive work culture and enhancing staff motivation through training, recognition, and leadership support. In conclusion, the study suggests that hospitals aiming to improve compliance with ERM procedures should adopt a holistic approach by investing in SOP development, providing consistent organizational support, and maintaining high levels of employee motivation. These efforts will contribute to better risk mitigation, service quality, and overall hospital performance.

Patient safety is a fundamental component of healthcare quality and a key indicator of hospital performance. Ensuring its implementation requires not only technical competence but also psychological and organizational support. This study aims to analyze the effect of motivation and coaching on the implementation of patient safety among nurses, with responsive culture as a mediating variable at Hospital X, Bekasi. A quantitative approach was employed using a cross-sectional design. Data were collected from 162 nurses in inpatient units using a structured questionnaire and analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) using SmartPLS software. The results showed that both motivation and coaching have significant direct effects on the implementation of patient safety. In addition, both variables significantly influence the development of responsive culture, which in turn also has a significant effect on patient safety. Responsive culture serves as a strong mediating factor, reinforcing the relationship between individual-level factors (motivation and coaching) and organizational safety outcomes. These findings indicate that motivated nurses who receive structured coaching within a responsive organizational environment are more likely to engage in safe practices. This study contributes to the growing evidence that human and cultural factors are critical in improving patient safety outcomes. It also provides practical recommendations for hospital leaders to focus on motivation strategies, coaching mechanisms, and cultural transformation to build safer healthcare systems. Future research is suggested to involve multiple institutions and integrate qualitative methods for deeper contextual understanding.

Hospital is a health service place that provides services based on safety competency and safety activities that are evaluated using performance assessment. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of patient safety competency on patient safety activities and nurse performance assessment. The independent variable in this study is patient safety competency, nurse performance assessment is the dependent variable while patient safety activity is the mediating variable. The study used an observational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. Respondents in the study were some nurses at Mardi Waluyo Hospital, Blitar City who had a patient safety competency certificate totaling 159 respondents. The sampling technique used simple random sampling. The results of the regression analysis obtained a significant effect on patient safety competency on patient safety activities and nurse performance assessment with ap value = 0.01. The variable that has a dominant influence is safety competency with a standardized coefficient of 0.327 compared to safety activities in patients with a standardized coefficient of 0.312. The conclusion in this study is that there is an effect of patient safety competency on patient safety activities and nurse performance assessment. The results of the study are in line with previous research and theories which show that patient safety competency has a greater influence on nurse performance assessments directly compared to the presence of patient safety activities as a mediating variable, but it is possible that other factors play a role in the differences in the effects of influence between variables. Hospital policies, safety culture, and the level of awareness of the work team in implementing daily safety practices may play a role in the difference in influencing effects between variables. However, it is also possible that there are other factors such as the attitude and motivation to work of individuals who are considered not to meet the expectations of the leadership.

Occupational health and safety (K3) is an effort to protect things that are dangerous so that everyone in the work environment is always safe and healthy. Creating a safe and healthy work environment can minimize the occurrence of accidents or accidents that can cause prolonged absences from work and significant costs for the company. Injured or sick workers can hinder productivity and disrupt work. The implementation of work safety basically aims to find weaknesses that exist and the possibility of accidents occurring in the work environment. This function consists of finding the cause and effect of an accident and investigating whether it is controllable or not. Labor productivity is a very important factor for companies, because the higher labor productivity, the more production or work results that can be provided in a certain time. To achieve maximum productivity, other things that are still related to labor productivity must also be considered. Among them are job opportunities, work motivation, work efficiency and effectiveness, work ability, as well as experience and knowledge that support the work process. Measurement of labor productivity is based on a system of physical income per person or hours worked per person based on working time or in days or years. By making these measurements, it is converted into work units, namely. into the amount of work that can be completed by employees working according to implementation standards in one hour. In short: The adoption of occupational health and safety in the workplace is an important factor in increasing the productivity and success of the entire enterprise. With the implementation of OSH it is possible to prevent work-related accidents and injuries, prevent employee absenteeism, which increases job satisfaction and creates competitive advantages that can lead to future employee success.
