The implementation of civil justice in Indonesia is fundamentally guided by the principles of simplicity, speed, and low cost. However, in practice, the regulation concerning the time limits for summons and the determination of trial schedules remains inadequate, leading to legal uncertainty. This study aims to analyze the legal certainty of time limits in summons and trial scheduling within civil procedural law, as well as to examine its implications for the effectiveness of case resolution. This research employs a normative legal method with statutory and conceptual approaches, supported by a descriptive-analytical design. The findings indicate that existing regulations, particularly those derived from the Herzien Inlandsch Reglement (HIR) and Rechtsreglement voor de Buitengewesten (RBg), only provide minimum standards for summons but do not comprehensively regulate the timeframe for determining the first hearing or intervals between subsequent hearings. As a result, there is broad discretion in judicial practice, which leads to inconsistencies among courts, repeated trial delays, increased litigation costs, and reduced access to justice. Although recent reforms through electronic court systems have improved the mechanism of summons delivery, they have not sufficiently addressed the issue of time management in trial proceedings. This study concludes that the absence of clear and comprehensive regulations on trial timeframes weakens legal certainty and hinders the realization of efficient judicial processes. Therefore, strengthening normative regulations on trial scheduling is essential to support a more effective, predictable, and equitable civil justice system.

This research deconstructs the manipulative architecture in the propaganda trilogy of the Japanese Army in 1942, namely Nippon Tjahaja Asia, Nippon Pelindoeng Asia, and Nippon Leader Asia, which have often been reduced to mere political euphemisms. With a descriptive-qualitative design, this study integrates Malcolm Coulthard and Alison Johnson's parameter-based Forensic Linguistics as the grand theory, as well as the three-dimensional model of Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis (AWK) as an operational analysis instrument. The results of the analysis show that lexical manipulation through the messianic triptych "Light, Protector, Leader" and the use of assertive clauses without copula are engineered to produce false consciousness. Forensic Linguistic Parameters confirm the existence of a planned mens rea (malicious intent) from Sendenbu, with an extreme disparity between commissive speech in the form of a promise of protection and military actus reus in the form of romusha slavery and logistical seizure. This condition fulfills the elements of mass deception. Furthermore, the doctrinal repetition of the slogan is a form of linguistic coercion that exploits power asymmetry to castrate the people's critical reasoning. In conclusion, the invasion of Japanese fascism in Indonesia did not only take place through military equations, but also through a cognitive dictatorship based on language fabrication. This study is relevant as a historical mirror for detecting the anatomy of structural lies in the contemporary post-truth era.

The Indonesian hospitality industry is currently facing a post-pandemic "profitability paradox," a phenomenon where increased occupancy rates do not guarantee a proportional increase in net profit margins due to persistent operational cost inflation. This study aims to evaluate operational cost efficiency strategies and their impact on profitability across three star-rated hotels with contrasting locational and market characteristics: @Hom Hotel Kudus (Central Java), Grand Verona Samarinda (East Kalimantan), and FUGO Hotel Banjarmasin (South Kalimantan). This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach with a comparative multiple-case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with top management, participant observation, and financial document analysis. The results reveal that geographical characteristics and market segments are the primary determinants in selecting efficiency strategies. (1) Hom Hotel Kudus, located in a secondary industrial area, implements Lean Operations strategies through workforce multi-skilling to address market price sensitivity. (2) Grand Verona Samarinda, in the East Kalimantan business hub, focuses on Supply Chain Engineering by localizing raw materials to mitigate high logistical costs. (3) FUGO Hotel Banjarmasin, in the lifestyle segment, adopts Technology-Driven Efficiency to suppress utility costs without degrading the guest experience. The study concludes that sustainable profitability is achieved not through aggressive cost-cutting, but through strategic cost management adaptive to local contexts. These findings provide a new managerial framework for the hospitality industry to shift from a revenue-centric orientation to value optimization.

The richness of local legends, such as the legend of Giri Gajah from Gresik, faces the risk of being forgotten due to a lack of visual elements appealing to child audiences, especially those aged 8-10 years old. To revitalize this legend, a picture storybook was designed by creating character designs that could captivate children aged 8-10. This dynamic educational medium is the primary target. The focus of the design lies in the character design, making it the core visual element and narrative driver, which connects the oral tradition with the needs of contemporary media. The research method used is design thinking. The design results established four main characters, namely Pandu, Sunan Giri, Sunan Giri's Grandchild, and Gajah (Elephant), using a Semi-Realistic Cartoonist illustration style. This style was chosen for its ability to bridge the reality of local culture with a cheerful visual appeal. This design successfully created an effective medium for the preservation of local culture and the improvement of children's interest in reading.

The purpose of this investigation is to analyze the influence of digital transaction methods on the control mechanisms of cash revenue at the Grand Hyatt Bali Hotel. The study applies a qualitative descriptive design, where information is gathered through interviews, field observations, and the review of supporting documents, including transcripts of discussions. The findings reveal that digital payments at the Grand Hyatt Bali provide convenience to guests in conducting transactions such as transaction speed, recording accuracy, and ease in the verification process. However, the use of digital payments also has a negative impact where digital cash receipts are recorded in the accounts receivable section requiring many supporting documents making it appear less optimal and less functional and highly dependent on the availability and stability of the internet network connection. From an internal control perspective, digital payments help improve transparency and accuracy in cash recording processes. The risk of miscalculations or data manipulation is reduced because transaction evidence is readily available digitally, in the form of sales slips, system notifications, and account statements. The mechanism of internal supervision regarding cash inflows at Grand Hyatt Bali Hotel based on COSO consists of several components, namely the organizational climate, monitoring practices, hazard analysis, exchange of insights and knowledge, and supervision. Overall, the implementation of internal controls has been carried out by all staff, however, the implementation is still not optimal related to the collection of documents that are still late, this is caused by staff knowledge about the documents required when digital payments are still not executed according to the procedures outlined in the SOP.

Indonesia is an archipelago and is therefore referred to as Nusantara (nusa means island and antara means beyond or outside). There are about 17,024 islands separated by sea. Its people consist of 1,340 ethnic groups divided into 300 ethnic groups representing different cultures. This diversity has resulted in 1,728 intangible cultural heritages and more than 700 languages. North Sumatra has scenic beauty in tourism both in nature such as the splendor of Lake Toba and in man-made attractions such as Maimun Palace and Medan Grand Mosque. However, North Sumatra has archaeological sites whose existence is less well known both by the people of North Sumatra and the outside world. This gave rise to the idea of developing a media website to publicize archaeological sites in North Sumatra, especially Bahal I Temple. Patrilineal inheritance, a customary system practiced in various Indonesian traditions, designates inheritance passing through the paternal lineage. However, complications arise when heirs lack male descendants or those recognized as legitimate by customary norms. Customary practices within the community often address these issues. Judicial panels frequently adjudicate disputes related to patrilineal inheritance to ensure equitable resolutions. Judges, empowered by the Judicial Power Law No. 48 of 2009, make decisions based on a comprehensive understanding of the legal framework and case circumstances. A case analysis, specifically Verdict Number 3494 K/Pdt/2016, concerning the inheritance dispute among the Batak Toba customary community, revealed that evidence from documents and testimonies proved the disputed land belonged to the appellants. The land, previously acquired by the appellants' mother through purchase from the Nagari, was not part of the inheritance left by the appellants' grandfather. However, the decision in settling the Batak Toba customary dispute in Verdict Number 3494 K/Pdt/2016 did not align with the principles of patrilineal inheritance customary to the Batak Toba community. This divergence stemmed from the judges' consideration that the disputed land constituted communal property resulting from the marriage between the late Yakob Sitinjak and the late Sanggul Boru Sinaga.
