The rapid expansion of internet usage has led to a significant increase in cybersecurity threats, particularly phishing attacks delivered through malicious links. Phishing links are designed to imitate legitimate websites in order to deceive users and steal sensitive information. This study presents the implementation of a phishing link detection website based on SSL validation and URL scoring mechanisms. The proposed system integrates heuristic-based URL analysis with real-time SSL certificate validation obtained through the SSL handshake process. Digital certificates are verified using RSA-based digital signature verification issued by trusted Certificate Authorities (CAs). In addition, the SHA-256 hash algorithm is employed to generate certificate fingerprints and URL hashes to ensure data integrity and uniqueness. The system also evaluates HTTPS usage, domain and certificate consistency, certificate validity period, and RSA public key strength. All validation results are processed using a URL scoring system to generate a security score ranging from 0 to 100, which classifies links into safe, suspicious, or dangerous categories. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed website is capable of effectively identifying phishing indicators and providing transparent cryptographic evidence in real time. This approach can assist users in making informed decisions and improving protection against phishing threats in web environments.

The distinctive markings on the fingers are known as biometrics. The fingerprint attendance method uses biometrics. Without developing a usable fingerprint tool, research on fingerprint attendance is restricted to processing attendance data. As a result, an Arduino-based fingerprint approach was used to construct an attendance tool. The education sector is where SMK Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara. The school's student attendance system is still operated manually. In this study, the system uses fingerprints and camera recording to track students' locations. Using an Arduino Mega as a microcontroller, this tool will display student attendance information on an LCD, save it on an SD card module, and send the ESP32CAM-generated photographs over Telegram. The literature review is the first step in the research process, followed by hardware and software design. Following completion, the tool is put through testing to evaluate its functionality. Each of the ten participants scanned their thumb and index finger. The thumb and index finger have an average of five tests, with a 0.28% mistake rate, depending on the number of trials. Each component's error percentage is less than 1% while still falling within the 5% tolerance limit. The image test results indicate two conditions: 20 cm and greater. The ESP32CAM will activate when we take a picture at a distance of 20 cm.

Android continues to innovate, and biometric systems particularly fingerprint sensors must operate with high efficiency. However, the main challenge lies in the communication between hardware and software, which often causes high latency, excessive power consumption, and protocol incompatibility between components. As a result, authentication speed decreases and system stability is compromised, especially on mid- to low-range devices. This study explores various implementations of Android-based fingerprint systems, focusing on how sensor modules interact with the microcontroller or Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) and the operating system through a hardware-software co-design approach to evaluate integration efficiency across all layers. The analysis reveals that conventional protocols such as Bluetooth or serial connections still cause delays, while improvements in drivers and the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) can significantly reduce latency. As a solution, the researchers propose a co-design optimization approach that utilizes data flow normalization within the HAL and adopts lightweight communication protocols to accelerate the verification process. Based on the test results, this approach successfully improves efficiency—authentication time is reduced by up to 35% and power consumption decreases by approximately 15%. Therefore, the efficiency of communication between hardware and software becomes a key factor in enhancing the performance and reliability of fingerprint systems on Android devices.

Conventional attendance systems often face various problems such as inefficiency, inaccuracies in attendance logging, and limitations in recapitulation processes. Manual systems are prone to human error and time-consuming, while fingerprint-based systems may fail when the sensor is affected by dirty, wet, or damaged fingers. This study aims to develop an attendance system based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) by utilizing the face_recognition function in Python and implementing a microservice architecture to improve efficiency and accuracy in attendance recording. The system is developed using the Agile Feature-Driven Development (FDD) method, which focuses on building system features based on prioritized business values. This method is applied within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure a structured, iterative, and user-oriented development process. Facial recognition is performed by comparing the encoding of the captured face image with the data stored in the database. The results show that the system is capable of recording attendance automatically, accurately, and in real-time. Furthermore, the recapitulation process becomes more efficient as the system manages and presents the data systematically.

The development of information technology has encouraged institutions, including hospitals, to adopt digital systems to improve operational efficiency. One important aspect is the employee attendance system, which previously relied on fingerprints. This method has limitations, such as difficulty detecting when fingers are not in ideal condition and causing queues during peak hours. This research aims to design and implement an Android-based attendance system using the Eigenface facial recognition method as a faster, safer, and more accurate alternative. Eigenface works by extracting facial features using Principal Component Analysis (PCA), thus being able to efficiently recognize individual identities. The system was developed with MySQL database integration and tested on employees of Khalishah General Hospital. The implementation results showed that the system can recognize faces with a good level of accuracy and increase the effectiveness of attendance recording. Furthermore, the use of facial-based attendance can minimize the potential for fraud and increase user comfort because it does not require physical contact. Thus, the Eigenface method has proven feasible to be implemented as a modern attendance solution to support employee attendance management in hospital work environments and other institutions.

Ekas Bay has very rich fishing potential, especially for the red snapper species (Lutjanus spp.). This study aims to determine the effect of mesh size of gill nets on catch and determine the mesh size that is more effective for catching Red Snapper (Lutjanus spp.) measures above 300 grams in the waters of Ekas Bay, East Lombok. This research was carried out in the waters of Ekas Bay, East Lombok from June to August 2025. This research method uses an experimental method that distinguishes three treatments with nine replications, using a Group Random Design (RAK). The data collection techniques in this study are observation, active participation, and interviews. Then analyzed using multiple fingerprint analysis (ANOVA). If the effect is real or very real, the effect can be seen by using the smallest real difference test (BNT), after that the BNT value is compared to the average value of the treatment. The results of the study showed that the use of different mesh sizes had a very real effect on the catch of red snapper. The 4-inch mesh proved to be the most effective with 65% of the fish caught being ≥300 grams in size, while the 3-inch mesh was 30% and the 2-inch mesh was only 5%. Thus, the use of larger mesh can increase selectivity for adult fish while reducing juvenile catches.

Attendance is an essential activity in both educational institutions and companies, serving as an indicator of discipline, presence, and individual responsibility. Conventional attendance systems that still rely on manual journals often face several problems, such as vulnerability to manipulation, data loss, and physical damage. Meanwhile, modern methods such as fingerprint, QR code, RFID, and GPS are not entirely ideal since each has its own limitations in terms of cost, accuracy, user convenience, and potential misuse. For instance, fingerprint systems raise hygiene concerns due to shared use, while QR code and GPS methods are prone to fraud and location spoofing. To address these challenges, this study proposes a face-based attendance simulation system by integrating the YOLOv8 algorithm for face detection and Local Binary Pattern Histogram (LBPH) for face recognition. YOLOv8 was chosen for its ability to detect faces in real time with high speed and accuracy, while LBPH is employed for face recognition due to its robustness in handling variations in facial features and its relatively low computational requirements. This makes the system efficient even when implemented on medium-specification devices. The system was tested on 25 participants with a total of 250 attendance attempts. Based on the confusion matrix analysis, the system achieved outstanding performance with 98.4% accuracy, 98.4% precision, 100% recall, and a 99.2% F1-score. Furthermore, the system automatically recorded attendance dates and times with an average latency of 69.185 ms, proving its capability to operate quickly and reliably in real-world scenarios. Nevertheless, several limitations were observed, such as decreased accuracy when the face moved too quickly during image capture, as well as potential performance degradation under extreme lighting conditions. Despite these challenges, the proposed system demonstrates excellent performance and offers a promising solution for efficient, hygienic, and fraud-resistant attendance management applicable to both educational and professional environments.

Criminalistics is an important supporting science in the criminal justice system, especially at the investigation stage. This science is used by investigators to uncover crimes scientifically through analysis of physical evidence, fingerprints, traces of wounds, poisons, objects used, and reconstruction of the incident. In cases of premeditated murder committed by children, criminalistics plays a crucial role in proving the elements of the crime. This study raises two problem formulations, namely: (1) What is the role of criminalistics in revealing the crime of premeditated murder by children? and (2) What are the inhibiting factors of criminalistics in the disclosure process? This study uses a normative and empirical legal approach, by combining primary data through interviews and secondary data from literature studies. The results of the study indicate that criminalistics is very important in helping investigators uncover facts and compile a scientific picture of criminal events. The factors that inhibit the role of criminalistics include: limited means and facilities for forensic investigation, legal aspects that limit the time of investigation, lack of coordination between law enforcement officers, and community and cultural factors. Among these factors, the most dominant are the lack of forensic facilities, limited investigation time, and weak coordination between institutions. This study suggests that investigators be provided with comprehensive criminalistic training and authorities increase the provision of forensic equipment, especially in regional areas, to support the effectiveness of disclosing crimes involving children as perpetrators.

The determination of human skeletons and fragments has significant value from both a legal and humanitarian perspective, which generally includes the evaluation of teeth, bones, fingerprints, and genetic material. However, fingerprinting and DNA methods are not without their limitations. Sex determination is an important first step in biological profiling, which plays a role in victim matching. Research on sex identification using T12 vertebrae with Geometric Morphometric (GM) techniques is still relatively rare. The GM technique deeply explores the dimensions and shape of objects. This study used an analytic observational design with a retrospective cross-sectional approach, involving 100 CT scan samples from Dr. Kariadi Hospital. Gender was used as the independent variable, while size (centroid size) and shape (principal component) were the dependent variables. The results of independent t-test and Mann-Whitney analysis showed a significant difference in T12 vertebra size between men and women (p = 0.000), but not in shape (p = 0.439). Based on the GM technique, it was revealed that the difference in T12 vertebrae between men and women was in size, not shape.

Currently, technological advances are very rapid and sophisticated. It is not surprising that this progress is utilized by many sectors, both private and government. The government must use technology to develop more sophisticated and inventive government systems. One of them is a unique finger impression-based attendance method that is used to discipline employees in carrying out their duties. The purpose of this research is to find out how effective the use of unique finger impressions is to discipline employees at the Malang Regency Transportation Service, how effective the use of unique finger impressions is to increase employee discipline, and the steps taken to improve employee discipline. This study is based on an inductive approach combined with a descriptive approach. Data collection methods include interviews, observation, and documentation. According to Tangkilisan (2005: 141), there are four ways to evaluate effectiveness: target achievement, adaptability, job satisfaction, and responsibility. By using unique finger impressions, employee discipline and organizational performance improve. However, there are several challenges, one of which is that employees continue to come for unique finger impressions rather than performance, which hinders them from completing tasks on time. One of the efforts made by the Malang Regency Transportation Service is to carry out direct supervision from the leadership and apply disciplinary penalties objectively and according to procedures. The author suggests improving or updating unique fingerprint scanning machine technology, especially the sensitivity of the scanner in reading fingerprints, and adding one unit of unique fingerprint scanning machine
