This study aims to: 1) Identify the social character of students at Al-Istiqomah Islamic Boarding School, Kebumen; 2) Examine the role of the kyai in shaping this character; and 3) Determine supporting and inhibiting factors. This qualitative field research used observation, interviews, and documentation for data collection. The results show that students’ social character is formed through religious activities such as studying classical texts, public speaking training, Al-Barzanji recitation, communal cleaning, group learning, and extracurriculars. The kyai plays a vital role through religious education, direct guidance, and exemplary behavior—like eating and drinking according to prophetic tradition, praying in congregation, and maintaining neighborly ties. Supporting factors include administrative staff, peer support, pesantren programs, and family encouragement. Hindering factors involve limited facilities, negative peer or social media influences, individualism, and students’ background. The kyai’s role remains central in building strong social character among students.

This study was conducted by 4th semester students of class B of the Physical Education, Health and Recreation Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, class of 2023. The results of observations in 80 schools spread across the areas of Jakarta, Bekasi, Cikarang, Karawang, and Purwakarta revealed that the existence of sepak takraw as part of extracurricular activities and physical education learning materials is still very limited. This finding shows the lack of attention to this traditional sport in the educational environment, so systematic efforts are needed to introduce, develop, and integrate sepak takraw into physical education programs in schools. This study aims to evaluate the effect of Agility Hurdle Drills and Agility Ring Drills on increasing the agility of students who take part in soccer extracurriculars at MA Al-Furqon Pampangan. Agility is a very important physical ability in the game of soccer, especially in fast movement, changing direction, and avoiding opponents. The first group was given training using the Agility Hurdle Drills method, while the second group used the Agility Ring Drills method. The training program was carried out over 16 meetings, and students' agility was measured using a shuttle run test before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the training program. The research results showed that both training methods provided a significant increase in students' agility, as proven through statistical analysis. Although both methods were effective, there was variation in agility gains among participants, indicating the need for a more personalized approach to training. This research provides evidence that Agility Hurdle Drills and Agility Ring Drills are effective methods in improving student agility, and can be implemented in other soccer training programs to improve player performance.

The urgency in several cases of student delinquency stems from law breaking attitudes and corruption cases which are increasingly common in our country, Indonesia. This occurs due to the dysfunction of several law enforcement agencies which are considered not to have emphasized their function in educating and anticipating cases of law violations in society. Some basic examples of legal awareness education and anti-corruption attitudes carried out in schools are students practicing through the honesty canteen, students practicing remembering their own assignments/exercises, students practicing identifying honest characters, schools providing special extracurriculars. So that way students and teachers understand the benefits of honesty and discipline. However, it should be noted that legal awareness education and an anti-corruption attitude should not be provided at elementary school level alone, this education must continue at subsequent educational levels because at the same time educational institutions at the upper level can be a strong milestone and reminder for building accountability and transparency.
