This classroom action research aims to improve the reading literacy of grade 1 students of SD Negeri 2 Ngasem through the use of flashcards. The background of the study is based on the low interest in reading and literacy outcomes of students, which is caused by less varied learning methods and the lack of attractive learning media. This study used a multi-cycle approach with the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation of student activities, reading literacy tests before and after the intervention, and documentation of the learning process. The results showed an increase in the average reading literacy score from 74.77 in the pre-cycle to 75.55 in cycle 1, with the percentage of learning completeness increasing from 77.77% to 83.33%. Community service represents a tangible contribution of higher education institutions in improving the quality of learning at the elementary level. This service activity was carried out collaboratively by lecturers and students at MI Miftahul Huda 2 Palangka Raya with the aim of enhancing the quality of IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial) learning through the development of interactive teaching materials based on Canva. The program applied the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which emphasizes the empowerment of existing assets within the school community. The implementation involved mentoring sessions, technical guidance, and direct classroom application of the developed materials. Effectiveness was evaluated through pretests and posttests, showing an increase in students' understanding from an average pretest score of 55.19 to a posttest score of 77.04, with an average N-Gain of 0.47 (moderate category). Validation results from subject matter experts (96%), design experts (97%), and classroom teachers (89%) confirmed that the developed media were appropriate in terms of content, visual quality, and language use. In addition to improving learning outcomes, the use of technology-based teaching media also increased student motivation and teacher engagement during the learning process. The outcomes of this program not only provided direct benefits to the partner school but also demonstrated the potential for broader application as a participatory and sustainable model for digital innovation in basic education.

English has become an important subject at the elementary school level, unlike when it was introduced at the middle school level. Today, English is included in the curriculum of elementary schools, as well as in kindergartens and early childhood education. English is introduced through enjoyable informal methods, such as playing and singing, to align with students' development. This aims to provide a strong foundation in foreign language acquisition. However, teaching English in remote areas like Samuda Kecil still faces challenges, such as a lack of resources and facilities. Digital technology, such as interactive videos from YouTube, is one innovation that has addressed these obstacles. The community service group at Institut Agama Islam Negeri Palangka Raya, who teaches at SDN 1 Samuda Kecil, uses the interactive video "Days of the Week" as a teaching medium. This video helps students listen to correct pronunciations and increases their motivation to learn. As a result, students find it easier to remember vocabulary and show significant improvement in understanding the material. Interactive media like this has proven effective in enhancing the quality of English learning in remote areas.
