One key measure of a region's economic growth is the employment rate, as it reflects the ability of the economy to absorb labor and improve community welfare. In Jambi Province, employment opportunities are influenced by several factors, including Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), population growth, and the Human Development Index (HDI). This study aims to analyze the effects of GRDP, population growth, and HDI on employment growth rates across regencies and cities in Jambi Province. The research employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression analysis covering 11 regencies and cities during the period 2017–2023. The findings indicate that GRDP growth, population growth, and HDI simultaneously influence employment levels. Partially, population growth and HDI have significant effects on employment, indicating that improvements in human development and demographic dynamics contribute to labor absorption. Meanwhile, economic growth, as measured by GRDP, has a relatively small negative effect on employment. This suggests that economic expansion does not always generate proportional employment opportunities, possibly due to structural changes and technological developments. Therefore, policies aimed at improving human capital and labor market conditions are essential to support sustainable employment growth in Jambi Province.

The acceleration of digitalization in recent years has shaped a new socio-economic landscape in Indonesia. Access to app-based financial services and online entertainment has increased rapidly, but at the same time, illegal online lending and digital gambling, targeting adolescents, have flourished. This paper explores a Community Service intervention model that combines preventative digital literacy and artificial intelligence (AI) optimization within the La Tansa Islamic Boarding School in Palembang. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with participant observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and written reflection analysis. Findings indicate that strengthening digital literacy based on critical awareness not only improves risk understanding but also deepens self-control integrated with religious values. AI training for educators also encourages changes in learning practices to be more adaptive and reflective of the dynamics of the digital era. This model offers a digital resilience approach that can be replicated in other educational institutions with similar characteristics.

Economic growth in ASEAN countries has shown heterogeneous dynamics, particularly in the post-pandemic period. This study aims to analyze the effect of economic complexity, manufacturing value added, and foreign direct investment on economic growth in ASEAN-8 countries during 2015–2024. The study employs a quantitative explanatory approach using panel data regression analysis. The data were obtained from the World Development Indicators (World Bank) and Harvard Growth Lab. Based on the Chow and Hausman tests, the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) was selected as the best estimation model. The results indicate that economic complexity has a negative and significant effect on economic growth, suggesting that increasing economic sophistication does not automatically promote growth when industrial and institutional readiness remain limited. Meanwhile, the manufacturing sector has a positive but insignificant effect on economic growth. In contrast, foreign direct investment has a positive and significant effect on economic growth through capital accumulation and technology transfer. Simultaneously, all independent variables significantly affect economic growth in ASEAN-8 countries. These findings imply the importance of strengthening industrial capacity, institutional quality, and technological readiness to support sustainable economic growth in ASEAN countries.

The research aims to analyze the acculturation process, identify the religious and cultural values embedded in the tradition, and explore its relevance in contemporary society. A qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving religious leaders, community figures, and local residents. The findings show that nikah malem songo reflects a harmonious integration of Islamic principles and local cultural practices while maintaining the essential requirements of Islamic marriage. The tradition also contains symbolic elements, such as selecting a sacred time believed to bring blessings. In addition, the practice serves as a social mechanism that strengthens community solidarity, reinforces cultural identity, and transmits values across generations. Although challenged by modernization, globalization, and puritan religious views, the tradition continues to survive through reinterpretation and selective preservation. The study concludes that nikah malem songo represents an inclusive and contextual form of Islam capable of adapting to changing social dynamics.

This research aims to examine the potential adaptation of Naval military logistics strategies to optimize humanitarian logistics distribution in remote archipelagic regions. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative method with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach of literature from the 2020-2026 period, this study dissects the concept of Sea-Based Logistics through domain, taxonomic, and componential analyses. The findings indicate that military advantages in floating infrastructure and integrated command chains can effectively bypass distribution barriers in areas lacking port facilities. The study concludes by recommending a military-civilian logistics integration model as a strategic solution for national logistics resilience in coastal areas. The effectiveness of this strategic adaptation relies not only on physical operational aspects but also on the synchronization of budgetary policies and the integration of information technology within the supply chain. From a logistics economics perspective, utilizing naval assets as floating bases mitigates the risk of high costs resulting from post-disaster land infrastructure damage. This synergy necessitates the establishment of collaborative Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) between military and civilian authorities to create a humanitarian logistics ecosystem that is more resilient, transparent, and capable of responding to crisis dynamics in outlying regions in real-time

This research is motivated by the reality of ethnic and cultural diversity in congregation life which reflects the dynamics of a multicultural society, where differences in cultural identity have the potential to cause social friction if not managed wisely. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with normative studies, with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation of informants consisting of pastors, congregation councils, and presbyters. The theory used is Ralph Linton's role theory which explains how individuals carry out social functions according to their status in society. The results of the study indicate that the life of the GMIT Sion Oepura congregation is characterized by multicultural dynamics as seen from the diversity of ethnicities such as Timor, Rote, Sabu, Flores, and Alor which not only enriches church life through cultural expressions in worship and church activities, but also gives rise to symbolic friction between ethnic groups, such as the tendency for the dominance of certain cultural symbols and the emergence of group ego attitudes in several worship activities, for example in the celebration of Language and Culture Month. In this situation, religious leaders play a role as leaders who embrace diversity, mediators in managing potential conflicts, and social and moral role models for the congregation through sermons, pastoral guidance, and various service activities that involve the entire congregation without differentiating cultural backgrounds. Despite the existence of cultural differences and the tendency for certain symbolic dominance, religious leaders are able to manage this diversity normatively so that it does not develop into open conflict. This study concludes that the role of religious leaders is very important in strengthening social solidarity and maintaining harmony in multicultural congregations.

Group-based learning in the classroom plays a vital role in enhancing social interaction, individual responsibility, as well as students' critical thinking and collaborative skills. However, its implementation often faces challenges such as the dominance of certain members, social loafing, low participation, and interpersonal conflicts that hinder group effectiveness. This study aims to comprehensively examine the dynamics of learning groups by integrating four key aspects: the concept of group dynamics based on the Tuckman model, the characteristics of effective groups in cooperative learning, group formation techniques, and conflict management strategies. The research utilizes a qualitative approach with a literature study method, analyzing 25 sources including nationally accredited journals, academic books, and theses published between 2020 and 2024. Data analysis was conducted through reduction, thematic classification, content analysis, and conceptual synthesis. The results indicate that effective group dynamics can be achieved through the Tuckman stages, the application of the five elements of cooperative learning, the selection of appropriate group formation techniques with risk mitigation, and the implementation of the Thomas-Kilmann conflict management styles. The scientific contribution of this research is the development of an integrative model based on these four aspects, which serves as a conceptual framework to strengthen collaborative learning practices in the classroom. Practical implications include the formation of ideal groups consisting of 4–5 students, the establishment of initial group contracts, the use of dual assessment rubrics (individual and group), and peer evaluation mechanisms to enhance accountability and reflection.

This study aims to analyze the financial distress condition of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk during the period 2015–2024 using the Springate and Grover models. The research employs a quantitative descriptive approach with secondary data obtained from the company’s annual financial statements. Financial distress analysis is conducted by calculating financial ratios included in each model to describe the company’s financial condition over the observation period. The results indicate that PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk experienced financial distress during several periods, particularly before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, which was reflected in weakened liquidity, declining profitability, and reduced efficiency in asset utilization. However, following the financial restructuring process after 2021, both the Springate and Grover models show an improvement in the company’s financial condition, indicating a transition toward a more stable non-distress status. Although the Springate and Grover models use different financial indicators and classification approaches, both are able to descriptively capture the dynamics of financial distress experienced by the company. The differences in classification results reflect the distinct focus of each model, where the Springate model is more sensitive to liquidity and operational performance, while the Grover model emphasizes asset profitability. Therefore, the combined use of both models provides a more comprehensive overview of the financial distress condition of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk during the research period.

Taxpayer compliance is a crucial factor in optimizing state revenue to support national development financing independently. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of taxpayer compliance in Indonesia by examining two main aspects: individual awareness and the effectiveness of the tax system. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature review of various national journals from the last five years. The findings indicate that taxpayer compliance is influenced not only by internal factors such as knowledge, awareness, and tax morale but also by external factors such as tax service quality, system digitalization, and regulatory complexity. Tax reforms and the implementation of digital systems such as e-filing and e-billing have been proven to significantly increase taxpayer compliance through ease of access and reporting efficiency. However, real challenges remain, such as low community tax literacy and perceptions of unfairness regarding the management of tax funds by the government. Therefore, a strong synergy is needed between increasing public awareness through continuous education and improving the taxation system to create sustainable and optimal compliance. Improving transparency and accountability in the management of tax funds is a strategic step to strengthen public trust in tax authorities in Indonesia.

This study examines the strategic role of Integrated Reporting (IR) in shaping investor perceptions in emerging markets, where transparency is essential for investment decision-making amid complex and volatile conditions. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with the PRISMA framework, this study ensured objective source selection and rigorous article screening. A total of 119 articles were identified from Scopus and Google Scholar using the keywords “Integrated Reporting,” “Investor Perception,” and “Emerging Markets.” After applying inclusion criteria, 29 relevant articles were selected for analysis. The findings indicate that IR plays a significant role in building positive investor perceptions by reducing information asymmetry, enhancing reporting transparency, and improving the disclosure quality of non-financial information. Investors in emerging markets generally respond positively to IR implementation, particularly when supported by strong corporate governance and clear regulatory frameworks. However, the relationship between IR and investor perception varies across contexts due to differences in institutional environments, regulatory systems, and capital market maturity. This study contributes by mapping IR dynamics in emerging markets and identifying conceptual gaps and implementation challenges for future research and policymaking.

Digital transformation has brought fundamental changes to the structure and dynamics of modern industrial economics. Technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and big data not only modify production and distribution processes but also revolutionize marketing strategies and patterns of industrial competition. This study is motivated by the need to understand how digital marketing transformation influences the development of competitive advantage through changes in digital market structure from an industrial economics perspective. In this context, digital marketing functions as a strategic instrument that integrates technology, data, and consumer behavior into market mechanisms. The analysis shows that digitalization creates a network-based market structure characterized by the concentration of economic power in major digital platforms and dominance in data control. This structure affects the intensity of competition, the direction of innovation, and patterns of industry differentiation. Digital marketing transformation enhances efficiency, expands market access, and lowers entry barriers for new players, yet it also creates competitive imbalances due to the dominance of large platforms.Through a digital Structure–Conduct–Performance (SCP) approach, the study finds that market structure acts as an intermediary variable that channels the impact of digitalization on competitive advantage. Digitalization significantly promotes industrial efficiency, innovation, and profitability. Proposed strategic solutions include strengthening digital literacy, developing adaptive regulations, and fostering cross-sector collaboration to create an inclusive, competitive, and sustainable digital industrial ecosystem

Stock market volatility represents a key indicator of financial market uncertainty, particularly in emerging economies where market structures are still evolving and are highly sensitive to global shocks. This study aims to analyze and compare the volatility dynamics of stock markets in four Asian emerging economies: Indonesia, India, Malaysia, and Thailand. The research employs a quantitative approach using daily stock index data from January 2011 to January 2026 obtained from Yahoo Finance. Stock returns are calculated using logarithmic transformation and analyzed using the Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (GARCH(1,1)) model. Prior to model estimation, stationarity and ARCH effect tests are conducted to ensure the validity of volatility modeling. The empirical findings indicate that all return series exhibit non-normal distribution, strong volatility clustering, and significant ARCH effects. The estimation results show that both ARCH and GARCH parameters are statistically significant, with persistence levels close to unity across all markets, implying that volatility shocks tend to persist over a long period. These findings suggest that emerging stock markets in Asia are highly sensitive to external shocks and exhibit long-memory volatility behavior. The results provide important implications for investors and policymakers in designing effective risk management and market stabilization strategies.

Exchange rates are a crucial indicator in an open economy, playing a significant role in influencing international trade, investment flows, and overall macroeconomic stability. This study aims to analyze the impact of rupiah exchange rate fluctuations on Indonesia’s economic growth during the period 2014–2023. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using secondary data obtained from official publications of Statistics Indonesia and Bank Indonesia. The main variables analyzed include the rupiah exchange rate against the United States dollar and Indonesia’s economic growth. The findings indicate that exchange rate movements are closely related to economic growth dynamics, particularly through international trade mechanisms, production costs, and the stability of the real sector. Depreciation of the exchange rate tends to enhance export competitiveness, but it may also trigger inflation due to rising import prices. Conversely, appreciation can help control inflation but may weaken export competitiveness. Therefore, maintaining exchange rate stability is essential to support sustainable economic growth and strengthen national economic resilience.

The implementation of regional autonomy and fiscal decentralization aims to enhance local governments' financial independence. However, fiscal imbalances between the central and regional governments led to the enactment of Law Number 1 of 2022 (UU HKPD), designed to strengthen regional fiscal capacity. This law introduces a piggyback tax system through a surcharge on the Motor Vehicle Tax. This study analyzes the dynamics of the piggyback tax system in Semarang City, focusing on the implications for taxpayer resistance and regional financial capacity. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study reviewed secondary data from regulatory documents, financial reports, and academic literature. The findings show that the shift towards centralistic fiscal policies and the increase in tax burdens have sparked significant taxpayer resistance. This resistance occurs both passively, due to poor regulatory literacy, and actively, through delays in tax payments. The resistance damages the psychological contract between the state and citizens, undermining local financial stability. It risks reducing local revenue, increasing tax collection costs, and limiting fiscal space for infrastructure development. The study suggests that Semarang’s government needs to adopt an adaptive governance framework with transparent tax allocation, digitalization of services, and persuasive policies to restore public trust and encourage compliance.

This study aims to analyze the impact of the geopolitical conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran in 2026 on global macroeconomic stability and climate change dynamics. Using a qualitative approach through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), this research synthesizes findings from various international journal articles, reports, and academic sources. The results indicate that the conflict has significantly disrupted global energy markets, leading to a sharp increase in oil and gas prices. This energy shock has triggered global inflationary pressures, reduced purchasing power, and increased economic uncertainty across both developed and developing countries. Furthermore, monetary tightening policies implemented to control inflation have created trade-offs with economic growth, increasing the risk of global recession. On the fiscal side, government interventions such as energy subsidies have helped mitigate short-term impacts but have raised concerns about long-term fiscal sustainability. In addition, the energy crisis has slowed the transition toward renewable energy, thereby exacerbating climate change risks. The study highlights the interconnectedness between geopolitical conflict, macroeconomic instability, and environmental sustainability. Therefore, coordinated global policies and integrated economic strategies are essential to address these multidimensional challenges effectively.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in supporting local and national economic development, particularly through employment generation and income distribution. Seasonal religious events such as Ramadan significantly influence consumption patterns and market dynamics, creating both opportunities and challenges for MSMEs. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the “Seri Ramadhan” phenomenon within the strategic management practices of MSMEs in Martapura, focusing on the periods before and after Ramadan. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with field study methods. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation involving selected MSME actors in the culinary, fashion, and retail sectors. The findings indicate that prior to Ramadan, MSMEs emphasize strategic planning through product innovation, stock preparation, promotional intensification, and operational adjustments. After Ramadan, they conduct performance evaluations, inventory control, and strategic realignment to maintain business sustainability. The study highlights that Ramadan is not merely a short-term sales opportunity but also a strategic momentum integrated into broader business planning cycles. The implications suggest that adaptive and cyclical strategic management enhances MSME resilience and competitive advantage in seasonal markets.

This study aimed to analyze the effect of credit risk on profitability with liquidity as a mediating variable in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2022–2024. The study employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Secondary data were obtained from annual financial statements, and the sample consisted of 31 banking companies selected through purposive sampling from a total of 47 companies. The research variables included credit risk as the independent variable, profitability proxied by Return on Assets (ROA) as the dependent variable, and liquidity proxied by the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) as the mediating variable. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through the assessment of the measurement model and the structural model. The results indicated that credit risk did not affect profitability and did not affect liquidity, while liquidity affected profitability. The findings also demonstrated that liquidity did not mediate the relationship between credit risk and profitability. The study implied that liquidity management played an important role in supporting bank profitability, whereas the influence of credit risk on profitability during the study period was likely driven by other factors outside the proposed model. This study provided empirical evidence on banking performance dynamics in 2022–2024; however, generalization should have been made cautiously due to the limited observation period and the variables included.
