In facing the complexity of globalization, Indonesia as a country rich in cultural diversity and traditions faces challenges in maintaining its national identity. Cultural diplomacy is identified as a crucial instrument in enhancing national resilience through mutual understanding, respect for diversity, and strengthening national identity. This article discusses the diplomatic role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in managing cultural differences and describes how cultural diplomacy is a vital element in national defense, in accordance with Law Number 3 of 2002 concerning national defense. The case study of cooperation between Indonesia and South Korea through the Hallyu phenomenon illustrates the impact of cultural diplomacy on the economy, politics and society. This research uses normative juridical research methods or also called library research. The data collection is done secondarily, involving primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials, such as laws, books, journals, and related articles. The results show that in the midst of global cultural changes, cultural diplomacy is also faced with challenges, including multidimensional threats involving physical and non-physical aspects. Therefore, the integration of cultural diplomacy in national security policy is essential to maintain cultural diversity and national identity.

Indonesia's relations with China have been established diplomatically for more than 60 years, in some sources it is said that this relationship cannot be separated from Indonesia's foreign policy which is free and active in viewing international political constellations during the cold role, Foreign policy is a strategy or action plan designed by state decision makers to deal with other countries or any other international political entity, with the specific aim of achieving national interests defined in terms of national interests. Foreign actions taken by the government of a country aimed at fulfilling the national interests of a nation are carried out by the authorities at the time The cooperation between Indonesia and China in the construction of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train began with China's efforts to attract Indonesia's attention when President Jokowi attended the 22nd meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Beijing, China in November 2014.

The conflict that occurred in the South China Sea (LCS) becameflash point in the Asia Pacific region. Disputes in the South China Sea involve not only 6 or even 10 countries, but also involve other major powers such as the United States. The six (6) countries referred to are China, Taiwan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, and (4) four other countries namely Cambodia, Singapore, Thailand and including Indonesia. In its development, the South China Sea (LCS) conflict has also started to "drag" Indonesia since 2010, after China claimed the northern territory of the Natuna Islands, Riau Islands Province which is Indonesia's Exclusive Economic Zone (ZEE). This research is normative juridical law research which includes research on international agreements, research on legal systematics, research on international law, research on the level of legal synchronization. Indonesia is not asclaimant state in the South China Sea dispute, however, Indonesia has national interests in the South China Sea, especially in defending territorial sovereignty in the North Natuna Sea. In its position as a neutral country, Indonesia has played a role in resolving international conflicts in the South China Sea by making various diplomatic efforts by sending protest notes to China and rejecting China's claims of control of the territory it claims to be.traditional fishing ground because it has no basis in international law and the waters of the North Natuna Sea on the basis ofninedash line who have violated Indonesia's ZEE.
