Childbirth is often perceived as frightening and causing extreme pain. Some mothers also feel traumatized by their first childbirth process because of various difficulties and pain during childbirth so that they are reluctant to plan to have children again. Labor pain is caused by uterine contractions and dilation of the cervix and lower uterine segment. Survey data from PMB Restu Bunda in 2024 on 5 mothers who gave birth, it was found that overall respondents experienced pain, as many as 3 people with a pain scale of 7 (severe pain) and as many as 2 people with a pain scale of 6 (moderate pain). One non-pharmacological therapy that can reduce the intensity of pain is back massage using Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). The research objective was to determine the effect of back massage with Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) on the intensity of active labor pain in the first stage of labor at the IMP Restu Bunda Gunung Terang Sub-District of West Tulang Bawang Regency. The quantitative research type is a pre-experimental design, one group pre-test - post-test design. The population in this study were all mothers who were going to give birth, as many as 22 mothers, with a sample of 18 people taken by accidental sampling. The study was conducted at the IMP Restu Bunda of Gunung Terang Sub-District West Tulang Bawang Regency. Data collection used observation sheets. Data analysis was carried out using univariate and bivariate tests (Wilcoxon test). The study results showed that the average labor pain before being given a back massage with virgin coconut oil (VCO) was 7.0 and after being given a back massage with virgin coconut oil (VCO) was 5.2. There was an influence of back massage with virgin coconut oil (VCO) on the intensity of active labor pain in the first stage at the IMP Restu Bunda of Gunung Terang Sub-District of West Tulang Bawang Regency with a p-value = 0.001 (p-value <α = 0.05). Suggestions for health workers can recommend back massage with virgin coconut oil (VCO) can be used as complementary therapy for mothers in the first stage of labor.

This research is an experimental research design with One Group pretest-posttest design. The sample amounted to 15 people who had previously measured their blood pressure using a sphygmomanometer. Furthermore, the data that has been collected is tested for data normality. The hypothesis was tested with the Wilcoxon test to determine the decrease in blood pressure of respondents with significance level (α) of 0,05. The Wilcoxon statistical test results showed the ρ value of pre-post = 0,001. This ρ value is < α = 0,05. The conclusion of this research is that there is an effect of giving red watermelon juice on blood pressure in late adults in Mahawu Village, Neighborhood VII. Complementary therapy is known as traditional therapy combined in modern medicine. Complementary is the use of traditional therapy into modern medicine. When pregnancy occurs, the entire genetic system will experience fundamental changes so that it can support the development and growth of the fetus in the womb. Based on the analysis carried out by the service team, the community in Sigam Village knows that there is traditional medicine to deal with complaints during pregnancy, but not all mothers know the truth of this information in terms of medical science. This causes people to hesitate to choose complementary therapies. The information media created is a poster containing information about complaints during pregnancy and complementary solutions. This is very well received by the public because the media is interesting and easy to understand.

The mother's condition during pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, and the baby being born are greatly influenced by the mother's health. The consequences of anemia in pregnant women include the risk of abortion, premature birth, fetal growth restrictions, increased risk of infection, low birth weight babies, as well as other complications such as difficulties during delivery, congenital abnormalities, and the risk of shock during the birth process. Complementary therapies refer to various systems of medicine and health care that are not included in conventional medicine. This therapy aims to complement conventional medical treatment and must be in accordance with applicable health values and laws. Exclusive breastfeeding coverage at Bintang Ara Health Center in 2019 reached 69%, while in 2020 exclusive breastfeeding coverage was 61% and in 2021 exclusive breastfeeding coverage was 57.83%. This is still far from the target of 80%. This problem can be overcome by giving a complementary therapy, namely through oxytocin massage. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of oxytocin massage using lavender oil on the adequacy of breast milk in breastfeeding mothers in the Bintang Ara Health Center Work Area. The research method uses a type of research that is Quasy Experimental Pre test- Posttest Control Group Design. With a case sample of 8 people and a control sample of 8 people. Statistical tests using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study that before the intervention of oxytocin massage using lavender oil, the adequacy of breast milk was less and increased after the intervention. Wilcoxon test results obtained p-value less than α which is 0.008<0.005.
