Nausea and vomiting induced by emesis gravidarum typically do not result in maternal fatality; nevertheless, they may give rise to malnutrition and dehydration due to challenges in consuming food and beverages. Ginger, recognized as a longstanding spice, offers a range of advantages. In addition to its usage as a culinary seasoning, beverage ingredient, and confectionery, ginger is also employed in traditional medicinal concoctions. This study seeks to juxtapose the outcomes preceding and following the administration of ginger aromatherapy to expectant mothers in their first trimester. The methodology employed in this research is experimental in nature, specifically adopting a quasi-experimental blueprint involving a pre-test and post-test configuration without a control cohort. The study cohort encompasses 30 initial trimester expectant mothers grappling with emesis gravidarum, who attended prenatal care at PMB A Klapanunggal. Derived from the outcomes of the 2022 inquiry into the Impact of Ginger Aromatherapy on Emesis Gravidarum Incidence in Pregnant Women at PMB A Klapanunggal Bogor, it can be deduced that a notable distinction exists in the frequency of emesis gravidarum prior to and subsequent to the application of ginger aromatherapy to first-trimester expectant mothers (Two-tailed Sig = 0.000 < 0.005). Furthermore, the expectant mothers comprehended and executed the insights on ginger aromatherapy dispensed by the researcher, proficiently integrating complementary therapy into their domestic routines. Consequently, healthcare establishments are advised to impart awareness regarding the adoption of non-pharmacological treatments, including aromatherapy, which are conveniently accessible and viable for initial trimester expectant mothers.

Statistical tests using the T-test. The results of the study obtained an average decrease in the frequency of nausea and vomiting before and after treatment from 8.18 to 3.65 and a decrease in the headache scale before and after treatment from 3.94 to 0.59 so that a p-value = (0.000) was obtained < ? (0.05) Conclusion: This means that there is effectiveness of acupressure points PC6, GV20, GB20, EX- HN1, EX-HN3, EX-HN5 to treat nausea, vomiting and headaches in first trimester pregnant women at the Murung Pudak Health Center in 2023.

Afterpains are a common physiological complaint experienced by mothers during the postpartum period due to uterine contractions that occur after childbirth. This pain can disrupt comfort, inhibit the involution process, and affect the mother's physical and psychological well-being. Non-pharmacological treatment efforts such as the Effleurage Massage technique are an effective alternative because they can increase relaxation and stimulate the release of endorphins that play a role in reducing pain perception. This study aims to determine the effect of the Effleurage Massage technique on the level of afterpains in postpartum mothers at Midwife Sulastri, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency in 2022. The research design used was a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest without a control group. The study sample consisted of 45 postpartum mothers selected using the total sampling technique. Data were collected through observations with a numeric pain scale and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed that there was a significant decrease in pain levels after Effleurage Massage with a p value = 0.000 (<0.05). These findings demonstrate that the Effleurage Massage technique is effective in reducing the intensity of postpartum afterpains. Consequently, this massage can be used as a complementary therapy in postpartum midwifery care to increase comfort and accelerate the mother's recovery process.
