The problem of stunting is still a serious issue in health development in Indonesia because it has an impact on the quality of human resources. This study aims to analyze the efforts of the Pagomogo Village Government in handling stunting. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants were determined using purposive sampling consisting of village governments, health workers, cadres, and the community. The results of the study show that the village government has implemented various programs, such as Supplementary Feeding (PMT), strengthening Human Development Cadres (KPM), improving services through community institutions, and sanitation development. However, the implementation of the program has not been optimal because it is still constrained by economic factors, low public awareness, limited counseling, and access to clean water. This study concludes that the main problem does not lie in the availability of programs, but in the implementation and sustainability aspects. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen community empowerment, improve education, and evaluate results-based programs.

The postpartum period is a critical phase in which mothers experience physiological and psychological recovery. Bengkung, a traditional abdominal binding cloth, is commonly used by Indonesian postpartum mothers, but inappropriate application may cause discomfort and may not support recovery optimally. This community service program aimed to improve postpartum mothers' knowledge and skills regarding safe and appropriate bengkung use. The activity was conducted through counseling, demonstration, guided practice, and evaluation using a one-group pre-test and post-test approach involving 30 postpartum mothers at a community-based maternal health service setting. The educational content covered postpartum physiological changes, indications and contraindications, safe binding principles, hygiene, duration of use, warning signs, and when to seek professional care. The evaluation showed an increase in good knowledge from 26.7% before education to 86.7% after education, and correct practice skills increased from 20.0% to 83.3%. Participants also reported better understanding of avoiding overly tight binding, maintaining breathing comfort, and discontinuing use when pain, shortness of breath, excessive bleeding, or wound problems occur. This activity indicates that structured education and demonstration can strengthen postpartum self-care and support safer integration of traditional practices into maternal health services.

Public awareness of the importance of health is still relatively low, especially in rural areas. This is due to limited access to information and health services. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of the village community through healthy lifestyle education and free health checkups. The methods used include counseling, interactive discussions, and health checks including blood pressure, blood sugar, and body mass index. The results of the activity show that there is an increase in public knowledge about a healthy lifestyle and an increase in awareness to carry out regular health check-ups. This activity also has a positive impact in early detection of public health conditions. In addition, the active participation of the community during the activity shows high enthusiasm for the program implemented. This program also strengthens the relationship between health workers and the community in promotive and preventive efforts. Thus, education and free health services are effective strategies in improving the health status of the village community and encouraging the formation of healthy living behaviors in a sustainable and independent manner.

Injectable contraception remains one of the most widely used family planning methods among couples of reproductive age. However, the success of this method is strongly influenced by the level of knowledge and attitudes of acceptors, which in practice are often still inadequate. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of injectable contraceptive educational videos in improving the knowledge and attitudes of injectable contraceptive acceptors at TPMB Siti Juhariyah. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design. A total of 30 injectable contraceptive acceptors were selected as samples using purposive sampling techniques. The intervention consisted of providing an educational video on injectable contraception, followed by the assessment of participants’ knowledge and attitudes before and after the intervention using structured questionnaires. Data were analyzed using statistical tests to determine differences between pretest and posttest scores. The results showed a significant increase in acceptors’ knowledge, which shifted from moderate and low categories to a good category after the educational video intervention. In addition, the acceptors’ attitudes toward the use of injectable contraception also demonstrated a significant positive change. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that injectable contraceptive educational videos are effective in improving the knowledge and attitudes of acceptors. Therefore, educational videos can be utilized as a supportive counseling medium in family planning services to enhance the quality of contraceptive care in independent midwifery practices.

Prosocial behavior is an important aspect of adolescents’ social-emotional development that needs to be optimally fostered through early detection efforts to prevent the emergence of social and mental health problems. This study employed a library research method by reviewing various journals and scientific articles related to the early detection of adolescent prosocial behavior. The findings indicate that prosocial behavior is influenced by internal factors such as empathy, emotional regulation, emotional intelligence, self-concept, and religiosity, as well as external factors including family environment, peer relationships, and education. Early detection enables school counselors to design intervention services that are aligned with students’ developmental needs. Therefore, it is essential to implement Guidance and Counseling services through the teaching of prosocial skills, empathy, communication, emotional regulation, conflict resolution training, and the enhancement of students’ self-efficacy. The use of social media to reinforce positive behavior, the provision of positive communication modules, and collaboration among teachers, parents, and the entire school community serve as systematic and sustainable strategies in shaping adolescents’ prosocial character.

Degenerative diseases are a major cause of morbidity in the elderly and continue to increase with age, lifestyle changes, and a lack of public awareness of the need for regular health check-ups. This community service activity aims to increase understanding and early detection of non-communicable diseases in people aged 30 years and older, particularly the elderly in the Appassarenge neighborhood, Bentenge Village, Ujung Bulu District, Bulukumba Regency. The activity methods included group exercise, blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, health counseling, and referrals for participants with test results above normal limits. Data were analyzed descriptively to determine the proportion of participants with high blood pressure and blood sugar levels. The results showed that the majority of respondents had hypertension (70.97% of 31 participants), while 55.88% of 34 participants had high blood sugar levels. These findings indicate a high risk of non-communicable diseases in the elderly population related to diet, lack of physical activity, and a lack of regular health check-ups. This activity received a positive response because it provided easy access to health services and raised public awareness of the importance of early detection and adopting a healthy lifestyle. Overall, this community service activity contributed to increasing the elderly's knowledge and awareness of health, as well as supporting promotive and preventive efforts in preventing degenerative diseases.

This study examines the role of Masjid Sabilillah Malang as a religious center and a hub for community health empowerment within the framework of modern Islamic civilization. The research focuses on how the mosque integrates Islamic values with sustainable promotive, preventive, and curative health programs. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving mosque administrators, LAZIS Sabilillah, and Sabilillah Medical Service (SMS). The findings reveal that Masjid Sabilillah has implemented various health initiatives, including mass circumcision, free medical check-ups, health counseling, cardiac exercise programs, and community ambulance services. Institutional collaboration with health centers, medical professionals, and social organizations significantly supports program sustainability. These initiatives contribute to increased health awareness, strengthened social solidarity, and reduced financial burdens among low-income communities. However, challenges remain, particularly related to limited public awareness of health as an integral part of worship. This study concludes that Masjid Sabilillah demonstrates strong potential as a national model of a “Healthy Mosque” that integrates spiritual, social, and health dimensions to promote holistic community development.

Posyandu, as a form of community-based health efforts, plays a crucial role in improving maternal and child health. However, its implementation in the Mutiara Community Health Center (Puskesmas Mutiara) in Asahan Regency still faces various challenges, such as low cadre capacity, suboptimal service quality, and limited community participation. This community service activity aims to strengthen cadre capacity through Posyandu revitalization as an effort to improve the quality of basic health services. A total of 63 Posyandu cadres participated in the activities, which were implemented through counseling, education, and coaching using revised service standard guidelines. This program was implemented through four stages: preparation, implementation, analysis of results, and evaluation. Improvement in cadre knowledge was measured using pretests and posttests. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the level of knowledge of cadres, as seen in the change in assessment categories from the majority being in the "poor" category during the pretest to "sufficient" and "good" in the posttest. This indicates that the education and coaching provided were effective in improving cadres' understanding and skills. Increasing cadre capacity is expected to improve the quality of Posyandu services, increase public trust, and support efforts to reduce morbidity and mortality in the Mutiara Community Health Center's work area. Cross-sector collaboration and ongoing mentoring are needed to maintain the sustainability of Posyandu revitalization.

The Baayun Counseling Socialization Program at the Health Center is designed to improve the understanding and skills of health workers in implementing a more humane and local culture-based counseling approach. Baayun counseling is a therapeutic communication method that integrates cultural values in the interaction between health workers and patients, so that services become more personalized, empathetic, and meaningful. This program is carried out through several stages, namely needs analysis, socialization, and effectiveness evaluation. The main target is health workers in primary services who interact directly with patients. The expected results of this program include improving the competence of health workers in understanding and implementing Baayun Counseling, as well as increasing patient satisfaction and compliance with health services. Program evaluations show that this approach is able to create positive changes in communication patterns, strengthen the relationship between health workers and patients, and improve the overall quality of counseling services. By adopting Baayun Counseling, Puskesmas can strengthen the cultural dimension in health services, making them more relevant and responsive to the needs of local communities. The program also has the potential to be replicated in other culturally rich regions as part of a community-based health service quality improvement strategy.

Menopause is a natural biological transition that often presents with health issues such as anxiety, sleep disturbances, and mood changes, which may negatively affect women’s quality of life. With the growing number of women entering menopause worldwide, including in Indonesia, effective interventions are needed to help them adapt positively. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of psychoeducation on anxiety levels among premenopausal women in the working area of the Jaboi Community Health Center, Sabang City. A quantitative quasi-experimental pre–post design without a control group was employed. The study involved 60 premenopausal women selected through purposive random sampling from a population of 146. The intervention, conducted from May 16 to June 10, 2025, consisted of structured psychoeducational sessions designed to increase knowledge and coping abilities related to menopause. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Results showed that the mean anxiety score decreased significantly from 20.13 (moderate category) before the intervention to 18.17 after the intervention (p < 0.001). These findings indicate that psychoeducation effectively reduces anxiety and enhances preparedness among premenopausal women. It is therefore recommended that routine psychoeducational counseling be integrated into primary healthcare services as a promotive effort to support women in facing menopause in a healthier and more confident manner.

Public literacy regarding health rights remains low, especially in communities with limited access to legal and health-related information. This lack of understanding often leads to unfulfilled rights and unequal access to quality healthcare services, contributing to a cycle of inequity and poor health outcomes. In response to this issue, this community service program seeks to enhance public awareness of health rights through interdisciplinary education, combining the expertise of lecturers from legal and health sciences. The program’s activities include the development of educational modules designed to provide clear, accessible information about health rights, as well as interactive legal-health counseling sessions aimed at addressing specific concerns. Group discussions serve as a platform for individuals to engage with experts and peers, furthering their understanding of how to navigate healthcare systems and advocate for their rights. Additionally, printed materials are distributed to reinforce learning and serve as ongoing references for participants. The program targets communities with high needs for health literacy, focusing on empowering individuals to recognize their rights and take action to ensure their healthcare needs are met. It also encourages the collaboration of interdisciplinary academic staff, fostering a collective approach to community empowerment. By improving health literacy, the program aims to promote social equity and improve access to quality healthcare services for underserved populations. Through this initiative, participants are better equipped to make informed decisions regarding their health and advocate for fair treatment in the healthcare system.

Ridan Permai Village, within the Bangkinang City Community Health Center (Puskesmas) jurisdiction in Kampar Regency, faces a serious problem related to adolescents' lack of access to health information and services, particularly regarding reproductive health. Survey results revealed that adolescents rarely receive regular health education or checkups, even though they are a vulnerable group to various health problems and behavioral disorders due to their identity-searching phase. The lack of reproductive health education in schools and the community also exacerbates this situation, leading adolescents to tend to obtain information from invalid or incorrect sources. Through the Community Service (PKM) program, a team of lecturers and students conducted a series of activities at SMPN 1 Padang to increase adolescents' knowledge and awareness of reproductive health. Three main approaches were used: direct education, outreach through interactive discussions, and distribution of leaflets as a continuous information medium. In addition, a question-and-answer session provided a space for students to openly share their questions and experiences without embarrassment. This approach was designed to create a participatory, educational atmosphere. These activities aimed not only to increase adolescents' knowledge but also to empower them to prevent the risk of health problems and behavioral disorders. The expected outcome of this activity is increased understanding of reproductive health among adolescents, as well as the formation of collective awareness for maintaining health and positive behaviors among adolescents. Sustainability of the program is also being pursued by involving teachers and school officials as partners in health education. This activity is also expected to serve as an educational model that can be replicated in other schools in Kampar Regency.

This study aims to examine the strategic role of the Cieurih Community Health Center in increasing public awareness of healthy lifestyles, particularly in the Cipaku Sub-district. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, and documentation of program activities. The collected data were analyzed using three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions with verification to ensure validity. The analysis focuses on three main dimensions of the Health Center’s role: (1) Interpersonal Role, which involves direct interaction with the community to build trust, encourage participation, and foster behavioral change; (2) Informational Role, which encompasses the dissemination of accurate health information, educational campaigns, and correction of misinformation; and (3) Decisional Role, which relates to planning, implementing, and evaluating health programs in response to local needs. The findings reveal that the Cieurih Community Health Center has made significant contributions to raising awareness and promoting healthy living practices through these roles. Initiatives such as health counseling, mobile clinic services, and collaborative activities with community leaders have shown positive influence. However, the study also identifies persistent challenges, including low levels of community participation, insufficient financial and human resources, and the strong influence of traditional cultural practices and misinformation that hinder optimal outcomes. To address these obstacles, adaptive strategies are necessary. Recommendations include the development of personalized approaches tailored to the socio-cultural context, the use of innovative communication methods such as social media and visual storytelling, and the strengthening of cross-sectoral collaboration with educational institutions, religious leaders, and local government agencies. These measures are expected to enhance community engagement, improve the accuracy and reach of health information, and sustain the long-term impact of health promotion programs.
