This study investigates the development of Indonesian language literacy among third-grade elementary school students. The primary problems identified were acute classroom passivity and low reading comprehension, evidenced by an initial learning mastery of only 45.16%, which were largely driven by conventional teacher-centered pedagogy. The objective of this research is to enhance early-grade reading literacy and active participation through an innovative instructional intervention. The proposed method employed a two-cycle Classroom Action Research (CAR) design at SDN Jrebeng Kulon 1, integrating the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by serial picture media. This approach utilizes chronological visual scaffolding to facilitate narrative comprehension for students in the concrete operational stage. The results demonstrated a highly significant academic progression: classical learning mastery increased to 70.97% (mean score: 80.80) in Cycle I and culminated in an absolute 100% mastery rate (mean score: 94.51) by the end of Cycle II. The synthesis of these findings reveals that transitioning from static visual aids to serial visual stimuli within a problem-oriented framework effectively mitigates cognitive dissonance and eradicates classroom passivity. In conclusion, the integration of the PBL model with serial picture media serves as a comprehensive pedagogical solution that not only maximizes cognitive reading comprehension but also reconstructs students' verbal articulation and social-collaborative skills, offering a highly scalable strategy for early primary education.

In the modern era, embedded systems and the Internet of Things (IoT) are experiencing rapid and continuous development, with their usage projected to match or even exceed the number of IoT devices globally. This technological transformation has influenced various sectors, including education, which must adapt to current digital advancements. Therefore, it is important for educational institutions to integrate embedded systems and IoT concepts into their curricula to ensure that learning remains relevant to industrial and technological demands. Improving the competence and technological literacy of students and lecturers in the fields of embedded systems and IoT, particularly for smart control applications, is expected to strengthen academic capabilities and practical skills. Through this development, higher education institutions can encourage innovation and the application of technology-based solutions in solving real-world problems. Furthermore, this effort supports the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially in the areas of education and research, by promoting applied research projects and collaborative learning activities based on embedded systems and IoT technologies.

The training on computer network cabling serves not only to enhance students’ technical abilities but also to cultivate social values, collaborative behavior, and digital awareness within the school environment. The outreach activity conducted by students of Universitas Victory Sorong at SMA 2 Kabupaten Sorong aimed to strengthen students’ digital competence through the introduction of network devices and hands-on practice in creating LAN cables. The results indicate that this training effectively increased students’ understanding of computer network components, improved their practical skills in LAN cable assembly, and fostered cooperation and responsibility during group activities. From the perspective of Sociology of Education, the program contributed to the development of social capital by encouraging peer interaction, collaborative learning, and a deeper awareness of the role of technology in social life. This activity also addressed existing problems such as limited knowledge of network systems, lack of practical experience, and insufficient technology education in schools. Overall, the training led to improved technical comprehension, active participation, and enhanced social character formation. Therefore, computer network cabling training plays a significant role in promoting both digital literacy and social development among students in accordance with the principles of educational sociology.

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the "Jalak Wadul Mas" (Jawa Timur Layanan Pengaduan Warga dan Dukungan Masyarakat/East Java Citizen Complaint Service and Community Support) innovation program in improving the welfare of people with social welfare problems (PMKS) in East Java Province. The Social Service of East Java Province developed this program as an integrated digital platform for complaint handling, social assistance distribution, and empowerment of vulnerable groups. Using the policy implementation theory from Edward III, this study examines four critical factors: communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. This qualitative research employs a descriptive approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation at the Social Service of East Java Province during June-August 2025. Informants include program managers, field social workers, PMKS beneficiaries, and community stakeholders. The results indicate that the Jalak Wadul Mas program has successfully served 45,678 PMKS across 38 districts/cities in East Java, with a 78% complaint resolution rate and average response time of 3 working days. The program integrates multiple services, including emergency assistance, rehabilitation referrals, skills training, and economic empowerment. Key success factors include strong leadership commitment, adequate technology infrastructure, and collaborative networks with community organizations. Challenges remain in human resource capacity, internet connectivity in remote areas, and cross-sectoral coordination. This study recommends strengthening digital literacy training for beneficiaries, expanding mobile service units, developing real-time monitoring dashboards, and establishing sustainable funding mechanisms.
