This study aims to systematically analyze the implementation of formative and summative assessments in Grade IV Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SDN 2 Konda within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design to obtain an in-depth and contextual understanding of classroom assessment practices. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers, the principal, and parents, as well as an analysis of curriculum documents and various assessment instruments used throughout the learning process. The data were analyzed using thematic coding techniques supported by NVivo software, guided by the Formative Summative Continuum framework to examine the alignment and integration between both assessment types. The findings indicate that teachers have regularly implemented formative assessment through digital quizzes, direct observation, reflective discussions, and continuous feedback, which have increased student participation and strengthened competency mastery. Meanwhile, summative assessment was conducted at the end of the semester through written tests and project-based assignments; however, it still primarily emphasizes cognitive aspects and has not fully integrated formative assessment evidence. The study also identifies limitations in the use of multidimensional rubrics, continuous portfolio management, and meaningful parental involvement in the overall evaluation process.

Learning evaluation is an important element in the educational process because it allows us to determine the extent to which students have achieved their competencies and helps improve the quality of learning. Objective tests are considered relevant because they can measure students' thinking abilities efficiently and systematically. However, in PAI learning, there are challenges because what is assessed is not only knowledge, but also understanding, attitudes, and actions in religion. This study aims to analyze the application of objective test instruments in evaluating PAI learning at SMA Negeri 1 Jetis Bantul, including how teachers create questions, the difficulties they encounter, and the impact on students. This study uses a qualitative approach with interview, observation, and documentation techniques, then content analysis is used to analyze the results. The findings indicate that teachers have applied HOTS-based questions in accordance with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum. However, students still have difficulty understanding long narrative questions, and objective instruments are not appropriate for assessing affective aspects. In general, students respond positively, but their learning style tends to be instant, relying solely on question outlines. To achieve holistic educational goals in line with the Pancasila Student Profile, continuous innovation is needed in the development of objective testing instruments that are capable of comprehensively measuring cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.

This research is motivated by the importance of disaster education from an early age, particularly in disaster-prone areas such as Indonesia, and the need for innovative learning media to enhance students' preparedness. Therefore, the researcher chose documentary films as a learning medium, as they present objects, concepts, or processes in a concrete and realistic manner. Consequently, documentary films serve not only as a learning resource but also as a means for students to understand appropriate actions for disaster mitigation and adaptation. The objectives of this study are to determine the effect of documentary film as a learning medium on students' cognitive abilities, to examine the effect on students' psychomotor skills, and to assess the extent to which cognitive abilities influence psychomotor skills. The research method used is quantitative with an experimental approach. The subjects of this study were students of class XI-H at SMAN 1 Karangan, Trenggalek. The instruments used included cognitive ability tests, psychomotor project assessments, and reports. Data analysis techniques involved the use of t-tests and regression analysis, calculated using IBM SPSS Statistics 26. The results showed that the use of documentary film as a learning medium had a positive effect on students' psychomotor abilities. This is supported by the results of a simple linear regression test, which produced a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.015 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted.

Cognitive domain assessment is an important component in the learning process which aims to measure students' mastery of knowledge and thinking abilities. This research presents the concepts, principles and implementation of cognitive assessment in education through literature studies. Bloom's Taxonomy revised by Anderson and Krathwohl divides the cognitive domain into six levels: remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, analyzing, and creating. Developing an effective cognitive assessment instrument requires systematic planning, starting from determining objectives to analyzing question items. Various assessment techniques such as multiple choice tests, short content, descriptions, and true and false can be used according to learning objectives. Challenges in implementing cognitive assessments include difficulties in designing instruments that measure higher-order thinking abilities. A deep understanding of the principles and techniques of cognitive assessment is essential for educators to improve the quality of learning and assessment.

Assessment seeks to determine whether educational goals are achieved or not, so that evaluation has a very large role in the world of education. Effective and efficient evaluations are carried out continuously and comprehensively, it is hoped that educators can get a complete picture of the achievements and progress of the process and learning outcomes achieved by students. Each subject emphasizes continuous evaluation, referring to comprehensive goals and results. Among the domains of differentiation in education is the cognitive domain. Cognitive assessment is an activity carried out to measure students' mastery of knowledge. The assessment of cognitive aspects is carried out through stages: preparing an assessment plan, developing an assessment instrument, carrying out the assessment, utilizing the assessment results, and reporting the assessment results in the form of numbers on a scale of 0-100 and description.
