Coronavirus is an infectious human disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). D-dimer affects the mortality rate of COVID-19 patients due to an impaired immune system and an excessive inflammatory process that leads to tissue damage, leading to death conditions. The increase in COVID-19 severity correlates with an elevation in D-dimer levels. Elevated D-dimer levels have become an important marker in monitoring the condition of severe COVID-19 patients, as they are associated with worse outcomes and increased mortality in severe COVID-19 cases. To determine the relationship between D-dimer levels and mortality in severe COVID-19 patients. This research used a descriptive and analytical study with a cross-sectional design to determine the correlation between D-dimer levels and mortality in severe/critical COVID-19 patients. Data were obtained from secondary sources of medical records of confirmed severe/critical COVID-19 patients at Dr. Pirngadi Regional General Hospital. There is a correlation between D-Dimer levels and mortality in confirmed severe COVID-19 patients with moderate severity. A significant association exists between elevated D-Dimer levels and mortality in confirmed COVID-19 patients with moderate severity. This study also indicated that there are more male COVID-19 patients compared to females. Older individuals (elderly) in this study, aged over 45 years, are more likely to be infected with COVID-19 compared to those under 45 years of age.

Haemorrhagic stroke, or also known as spontaneous intracerebral haemorrhage (PIS), is one of the pathological types of stroke caused by intracerebral blood vessels. This condition causes neurological symptoms that occur suddenly and often followed by symptoms due to the spatial effects or increased intracranial pressure (TIK). Generally speaking, the number of strokes is increasing, according to (RISKESDAS) the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia there is an increase in stroke prevalence from 8.3 (2007) to 12.2 (2013) per 1000 people. In PIS, primary injury occurs: neuron and glia damage mechanically followed by deformation, neurotransmitter release, mitochondrial dysfunction and cell membrane depolarization. Secondary injuries due to haemoglobin breakdown and coagulation factors especially thrombin. The product will activate microglia so it produces toxic substances such as reactive oxygen species (ROS), matrix metalloproteinase (MMP), cyclooxygenase-2, prostaglandin, heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1), complement factor, tumour necrotizing factor α (TNF α), and interleukin 1β causing network injury. In addition to injury, there's also a replacement of dead cells through the neurogenesis process, which is the growth of neuronal stem cells in the subventricular and hippocampus areas. The number of hemorrhagic strokes in Asia is higher than in the West. This could be due to the high incidence of hypertension in the Asian population.

The existence of the cosmetics industry basically has a positive impact but also creates new problems because there is still inadequate management of liquid waste. The aim of the study was to find out how the coagulation and flocculation processes affect the quality of BOD, COD, and TSS in wastewater treatment plants. This research method uses a qualitative type method, based on its type with a cross sectional approach with an observational researchhmethode. The populationnof this study is the outlet of the Wastewater Treatment Plant which has undergone coagulation and flocculation processes. The samples used were outlets after the coagulation and flocculation processes were carried out at the WWTP in Cosmetic Industry X, Depok City. The results from the inlet levels of BOD 2,152 mg/l, COD 5,380 mg/l, and TSS 1,830 mg/l. The outlet levels of the Cosmetic Industry X Wastewater Treatment Installation in Depok City showed a BOD level of 15 mg/l, a COD level of 63 mg/l, and a TSS of 20 mg/l. In this study the contents of BOD, COD and TSS in cosmetic industry waste X in Depok city were included in the water quality status with good quality after coagulation and flocculation processes.
