Efforts to reduce the prevalence of stunting are carried out through two interventions, namely specific nutrition interventions and sensitive nutrition interventions. Specific nutrition interventions are interventions that are directly targeted at households in the First 1,000 Days of Life (HPK). Meanwhile, sensitive nutrition interventions are interventions aimed at various development activities outside the health sector. The target is the general public. This type of research is field research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The informants in this research were 8 people including stunting program holders, nutrition officers from community health centers, posyandu cadres, stunting cadres, PKK cadres, and the State Government. The results of the research show that the Tawiri Community Health Center has implemented various specific nutritional intervention programs, including distribution of TTD for adolescent girls, distribution of PMT for pregnant women with KEK, PMT for toddlers, counseling, sweeping for pregnant women, classes for pregnant women, PHBS counseling, as well as counseling on the use of clean water. . However, giving PMT biscuits to toddlers is not appropriate because the consumption standard is 3 boxes per month. The State Government as implementer of specific nutrition interventions also contributes to reducing stunting by making efforts in the form of activating cadres, allocating village funds to resolve stunting. Obstacles in implementing the stunting reduction acceleration program are the minimal level of knowledge of parents or mothers who have stunted toddlers, as well as the low income of parents which causes inadequate nutritional intake for children.

In the working area of the Sijamapolang Community Health Center, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, stunting is still relatively common. Stunting is important to handle because it concerns the quality of human resources. Stunting, apart from being a risk of hampering physical growth and susceptibility to disease, also causes barriers to cognitive development which will affect the level of intelligence and productivity of children in the future. Stunting can be caused by various factors, including low nutritional intake in the first 1,000 days of life, from the fetus to a two-year-old baby. Apart from that, poor sanitation facilities, lack of access to clean water, and lack of environmental cleanliness are also causes of stunting. Poor hygiene conditions mean that the body has to fight extra hard against sources of disease, thus hampering the absorption of nutrients. Basically, stunting can be prevented from an early age. Of course, this can be done by increasing the family's insight or knowledge, especially mothers, regarding stunting prevention. By looking at the problems of these partners, the Community Partnership program aims to provide knowledge and information to the community so they can prevent and overcome the problem of stunting. The results achieved in this activity, namely, participants have knowledge about: the definition of stunting and its characteristics, the causes of stunting, the impacts of stunting, how to prevent and overcome stunting

Stunting is a condition in which a child's weight and height are significantly below that of their peers of the same age, and it becomes noticeable when a child reaches the age of two. Stunting can be attributed to several interconnected factors such as genetics, economic conditions, household circumstances, parenting styles, insufficient nutritional intake, limited access to healthcare services, clean water scarcity, and inadequate sanitation. Stunting remains a paramount issue in terms of nutrition and health in Indonesia, including in the Riau region. Rambah Sambo sub-district is one of the seven sub-districts in Rokan Hulu Regency that has villages with a stunting locus status, and one of them is Karya Mulya Village. To shed light on the reality of stunting in the Riau Province, the University of Riau 2023 Community Service (Kukerta) Team in Karya Mulya Village will conduct observations and interviews with the local community to gauge their understanding and knowledge regarding this stunting issue. Most community members or parents with stunted children generally do not comprehend the meaning of stunting itself. However, based on observations, the knowledge of Karya Mulya Village residents about stunting falls into the "adequate" category, leaving them to speculate about it. Some respondents refer to stunting as malnutrition and prefer to describe it as a lack of height. Some of the Karya Mulya Village residents have grasped the consequences or effects of stunting on a child's future. The majority of the community agrees that stunting can disrupt a child's mental health. In preventing and reducing stunting cases, Karya Mulya Village faces several challenges. The first is changing community behaviors, and the second pertains to improving nutrition and food, as there are still community members who do not provide high-protein and nutritious food to their children.
