This study aims to analyze the evolution of Islamic civilization within the cultural landscape of Southeast Asia through a comparative study between Indonesia and Patani, Thailand. The research employs a qualitative approach with a comparative case study design based on literature review, examining the historical, social, cultural, and political developments of both regions. The findings reveal that the development of Islamic civilization in Indonesia occurred through an inclusive and adaptive process of cultural acculturation. Islamic values were integrated with local traditions, creating a moderate and harmonious religious pattern within society. In contrast, the development of Islam in Patani took place under conditions of political marginalization and state pressure, which fostered cultural resistance and strengthened the religious identity of the Malay Muslim community. These differences indicate that socio-political structures play a significant role in shaping the dynamics of Islamic civilization. The study confirms that Islam as a civilization is flexible and adaptable to different cultural environments; however, the form of adaptation is strongly influenced by power relations, social conditions, and local political contexts. This research is expected to enrich the study of Islamic civilization in Southeast Asia through a comparative approach that integrates cultural and political dimensions more comprehensively.

The Idrisid dynasty played a crucial role in the spread of Islam in Morocco during the late 8th century CE. Founded by Idris I, the dynasty successfully unified various Berber tribes under Islamic rule. Through political consolidation, social integration, and cultural development, the Idrisids strengthened the foundations of Islam in the region. They established key urban centers such as Fez, which became a major hub for Islamic scholarship and missionary activities. Their support for education, the construction of mosques, and the promotion of the Zaidi Shia school of thought significantly accelerated the Islamization process among the local population. This article examines the process of Islamic dissemination in Morocco by the Idrisid dynasty, the factors contributing to its success, and the religious and cultural legacy it left behind. Using a historical-analytical approach, the study highlights how the Idrisids not only facilitated the Islamization of Morocco but also laid the groundwork for the broader development of Islamic civilization in the Maghreb region.

In the digital era and the Industrial Revolution 4.0 towards Society 5.0, innovation becomes crucial, but many young people are still trapped in consuming information immediately without sufficient analytical skills. The absence of a culture of literacy and reading causes innovation that is only based on imitation. The initial message of Islam "Iqra' wa rabbukal-akram" (Read, and your Lord is Most Gracious) provides a solution, emphasizing that reading is the key to gaining knowledge, broadening your views, and developing critical thinking. Reading includes observing nature, social phenomena, and the signs of God's power, which require reflective thinking. The history of Islamic civilization shows progress triggered by the spirit of "iqra'," which gave birth to famous scholars such as Ibn Sina and Al-Khawarizmi. In the current era of globalization and technological challenges, these values are becoming increasingly crucial. Al-'Alaq 3 serves as an eternal call to develop critical thinking as a moral and spiritual responsibility, linking contemporary innovation with the ability to read critically. This article is intended to analyze QS. Al-'Alaq 3 as the basis of critical thinking in Islam, encourages scientific research and creative expression of gratitude. This study applies qualitative literature methods, which combine Islamic literature and contemporary critical thinking.

Ibn Khaldun's thoughts in Muqaddimah on economic cycles and taxation remain relevant in the context of modern economics. He explains that the growth and decline of a nation's economy follow a cyclical pattern, where imbalanced fiscal policies can accelerate the downfall of a civilization. Ibn Khaldun emphasizes the importance of fair and proportional taxation to avoid hindering societal productivity and investment. His views on the impact of taxation on the economy align with the Laffer Curve concept, which states that excessively high taxes can actually reduce state revenue. This study employs a literature review method to analyze Ibn Khaldun’s thoughts and their relevance to modern economic systems and fiscal policies. The findings indicate that his ideas can serve as a foundation for formulating sustainable Islamic economic policies. By applying the principles of balance between taxation, production, and societal welfare, a nation can maintain long-term economic stability. Therefore, Ibn Khaldun's thoughts remain relevant as a reference for contemporary economic policies, particularly in addressing economic disparities and preventing financial crises.

Modern Islamic philosopher and commentator Muhammad Abid Al-Jabiri helped advance the study of Quranic interpretation today. His critical thinking of Arabic reason made him famous among academics. Abid Al Jabiri's "revivalism" spirit motivated his criticism. In this case, the concept is related to the revival of Islam and efforts to change society. Abid Al Jabiri considered the current Islamic revival to be unsuccessful or even considered a failure. Based on this, Abid Al Jabiri wrote the next trilogy. This trilogy begins with his concern about the modern Arab discourse that cannot solve the problem of Islamic revival. The inaccuracy of Arabs in handling traditions (turats) is a factor that causes the Islamic revival to fail. Based on the perception of differences, the dialectic of understanding of contemporary Arab backwardness versus the dialectic of modern Western progress, the urgency of the Islamic revival does not depend on the orientation of development or its facts. According to al-Jabiri, formulating "the revival of Islamic civilization" is not easy, even unable to achieve progress, either in scientific planning or proportional utopian vision. After that, Al-Jabiri focused on turats (Islamic traditions), studying them and understanding them objectively to gain new insights. The main goal of Al-Jabiri's thinking on the whole turats is to realize socially transformative knowledge while maintaining the sustainability of the Islamic civilization revival program. This article examines Al-Jabiri's rational critique through the perspective of the bayani, irfani, and burhani epistemological trilogy and its implications for the development of modern Islamic economics. The main focus of this study is how the concept of rational critique can be applied to support the progress of Islam, especially in the context of Islamic economic theory and practice. This study highlights the relevance of Al-Jabiri's approach in formulating a more critical and progressive framework for Islamic economic thinking, while also responding to the challenges of modernization. This article also analyzes the contribution of the epistemological trilogy to strengthening Islamic financial practices in a global context. The research findings show that this integrative approach is not only relevant to the development of Islamic economics but also offers a solid foundation for innovation in facing the dynamics of the modern economy.

This study aims to discuss the concept of administration and management in general, and to view it from the perspective of the Qur'an. By understanding the principles of Qur'anic management, it is hoped that these values can be applied in everyday life, so that a balance is created between achieving worldly and hereafter goals. In addition, this paper also explores how administration and management in Islam are not only oriented towards efficiency, but also on spiritual values that bring benefits to life in the world and the hereafter. The research methodology used in this study is descriptive qualitative research using the library research method. Administration is a joint effort process involving all parties to realize common goals and ideals. The term management actually refers to the process of implementing activities that are completed efficiently with and through the use of others. In the Qur'an, the term management uses yudabbiru, which means organizing, managing, engineering, implementing, taking care of well. Islamic management can be viewed from two sides, namely management as a science and management as an activity. As a science, management is seen as one of the general sciences that was born based on empirical facts that are not related to any values, civilizations (hadharah). However, as an activity, management is seen as a deed that will be held accountable before Allah SWT.

Revolution means a process of change that takes place quickly or a fairly fundamental change in a field or place. If so, then the Industrial Revolution is a process of change that takes place quickly and fundamentally in the industrial sector. In modern civilization there have been four Industrial Revolutions, each of which has its own characteristics. The role of humans is gradually starting to be taken over by automatic machines. In short, disruption is innovation. This is innovation that will replace all old systems with new methods. Disruption has the potential to replace old players with new ones. Disruption replaces old, all-physical technology with digital technology that produces something completely new and more efficient and more useful.
