The area and distance between buildings at POLINELA Campus make the presence of adequate connector roads an important necessity to support the mobility of the academic community. This study aims to optimize the scheduling of flexible pavement construction for the POLINELA Connector Road using the Critical Path Method (CPM) based on Microsoft Project 2021. The research method used is descriptive quantitative by processing the Budget Plan (RAB) data into a project schedule consisting of 11 main activities. CPM analysis is used to determine the sequence of work, dependencies between activities, the critical path, and project completion time. The results show that the total project duration is 23 calendar days (May 11–June 6, 2026). CPM analysis identified 10 activities on the critical path with zero float, while embankment work is a non-critical activity with time flexibility. Applying a Start-to-Start (SS) relationship with a 3-day lag between excavation and embankment work allows parallel implementation, reducing the project duration by 4 days (14.8%) compared to the conventional Finish-to-Start (FS) scenario. These results indicate that implementing CPM through Microsoft Project 2021 can increase execution time efficiency, simplify schedule control, and support decision-making in road construction project management.

Smart tourism development is an important strategy for strengthening the competitiveness of tourism villages while preserving local culture, environmental sustainability, and community life. Southwest Sumba Regency possesses natural and cultural tourism potential; however, its management faces limitations in information provision, digital promotion, community participation, and tourism services. This study aims to design a smart tourism development model to support the preservation of tourism villages in Southwest Sumba Regency using a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach. This approach places local communities, tourism village managers, tourists, local government, and business actors as users throughout the design process. The study employs a mixed-methods approach comprising field observation, interviews, focus group discussions, questionnaires, user-needs analysis, prototype development, and usability evaluation. The UCD stages include identifying the context of use, specifying user requirements, developing solutions, and conducting evaluations. The expected outcome is a smart tourism platform prototype that provides destination information, promotes local products, presents cultural event calendars, maps tourism locations, supports reservation services, and facilitates community participation. The study is also expected to produce a digital governance model grounded in cultural values, local wisdom, and sustainability principles. The targeted outputs include a system prototype, policy recommendations, a tourism village management model, and an article. The proposed model is expected to improve tourist experiences, expand market access, strengthen community capacity, and preserve tourism village identities sustainably. Technology is therefore positioned not merely as a promotional tool, but also as a means of documentation, education, decision-making, tourism impact monitoring, and inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable collaboration among stakeholders.

The determination of the beginning of the lunar month is an important issue in religious practice and the establishment of the Hijri calendar in Indonesia. The diversity of imkan rukyat criteria used across countries necessitates an evaluation of international standards, including the 2016 Turkish Criteria, which are considered more progressive with parameters of a minimum crescent altitude of 5° and an elongation of 8°. This article examines the relevance of the 2016 Turkish Criteria within the astronomical and jurisprudential context of Indonesia, as well as its implications for the process of determining the beginning of the lunar month by the government and Islamic organizations. Through literature review, comparative astronomical analysis, and examination of hisab–rukyat practices in recent years, this study finds that the 2016 Turkish Criteria exhibit strong astronomical consistency and can enhance calendar predictability. However, its application in Indonesia may lead to discrepancies with the government’s criteria, which currently require a crescent altitude of 3° and an elongation of 6.4°. These implications include potential differences in month beginnings, the need for harmonizing criteria, and the importance of dialogue between national and international astronomical authorities. This study recommends strengthening astronomical and jurisprudential assessments prior to adopting new criteria and encourages the integration of global data to improve the accuracy of the Hijri calendar in Indonesia.

This study aims to find out how Instagram is used by the Demak Regency Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Office as a source of information for employees. The research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach conducted from 1–30 August 2025. Data was obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation of the agency's Instagram account. The results of the study show that Instagram is used as a means of publishing official activities and information, but it is not optimal due to limited human resources, a long upload process, and monotonous content. Based on the theory of Uses and Gratifications and Media Richness Theory, the effectiveness of digital communication requires the ability to present interesting and relevant information so that the message conveyed can meet the needs of internal audiences. Other findings show that some employees have not made Instagram the main source of information due to a lack of content updates and a lack of visual variation. Therefore, it is recommended that social media management be carried out more professionally through improving admin competence, content calendar planning, and better internal coordination to ensure the consistency and quality of published information. Thus, Instagram can function more optimally as an official communication medium.

Patient adherence to medication regimens is a crucial factor in achieving therapeutic success, especially in chronic diseases such as diabetes mellitus and hypertension, as well as infections like tuberculosis. Low adherence can lead to complications, treatment failure, and a potential increase in antimicrobial resistance. This study reviews various interventions and factors affecting medication adherence. Through an analysis of six scientific articles, it explores the effectiveness of calendar packaging, pill boxes, poster media, and technology-based interventions in improving adherence. In addition, patient characteristics, including gender, age, education level, occupation, and comorbidity, are also analyzed to understand their contribution to adherence. The results indicate that structured and personalized interventions, often supported by technology, have significant potential to improve patient adherence. However, effective implementation requires a deep understanding of patient characteristics and adaptation to individual needs. These findings are expected to provide insight for healthcare providers in designing more effective intervention strategies to improve patient adherence and health outcomes.

Research on the preservation of local culture amidst globalization emphasizes the importance of a systematic educational strategy aligned with government policy. The main focus of this study is the role of educational institutions in introducing and maintaining the sustainability of Simalungun culture, considering that the cultural knowledge of the younger generation is declining due to modernization and the influence of the media. The research objective was to develop and evaluate SIMALOKA, an artificial intelligence-based framework with a teacher-in-the-loop approach that integrates Simalungun language, arts, rituals, and crafts into both formal and non-formal curricula. The method used combines natural language processing to tag content, a knowledge graph to map cultural concepts and skills, and a multi-objective optimization algorithm to develop balanced learning modules according to the cultural calendar. The system was tested using a dataset containing 1,850 cultural learning objects and produced modules with an average cultural coverage deviation of 3.4%, a content relevance score of 0.92, and an engagement rate of 87.1%, superior to two state-of-the-art baseline models. The results show that the combination of AI-based optimization and human validation can maintain cultural authenticity while significantly increasing student participation. These findings strengthen the hypothesis that context-sensitive, technology-based curriculum design can strengthen local cultural identity without neglecting educational policy demands. The study's conclusions confirm that SIMALOKA is a large-scale model that can be adapted to other local cultures, providing important implications for policymakers, educators, and cultural organizations in maintaining the sustainability of cultural heritage. Future research directions are directed at assessing long-term retention, resource constraints, and cross-cultural adaptation to make cultural preservation more inclusive and effective.
