Heat stress is a major constraint in broiler production systems located in humid tropical climates, where high ambient temperature and relative humidity impair growth performance, feed efficiency, and animal welfare. This systematic review synthesizes peer-reviewed studies published between January 2015 and December 2025 evaluating environmental housing designs and cooling strategies for mitigating heat stress in broiler chickens. This systematic review followed the PRISMA 2020 guidelines and synthesized peer-reviewed studies retrieved from Scopus, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect, published between January 2015 and December 2025. From 500 records initially identified, 26 studies fulfilled the predefined eligibility criteria and were included in the qualitative synthesis. The findings demonstrate that evaporative cooling systems, tunnel ventilation, and automated climate control technologies consistently reduced indoor temperature (2–6°C) and improved body weight gain, feed conversion ratio (FCR), and mortality rates under hot-humid conditions. However, cooling efficiency was strongly influenced by ambient humidity, necessitating integrated and adaptive environmental control approaches. Smart sensor-based systems further enhanced microclimate stability and thermal uniformity within broiler houses. Beyond performance improvements, optimized environmental management reduced physiological stress indicators, including heterophil-to-lymphocyte ratios and corticosterone levels. Overall, integrated, humidity-adaptive, and energy-efficient cooling strategies are essential to sustain productivity, welfare, and climate resilience in tropical broiler production systems.

The study examines the symbolic meaning of the “Bread of Life” in John 6 through an exegetical-theological approach, using intertextual and narrative-semiotic perspectives. It uncovers the dynamics of Johannine Christological revelation, which moves from miracle as sign, through theological discourse, and culminates in the sacramental understanding of the Eucharist. The Gospel of John is read as a text that employs symbolism and patterns of misunderstanding to lead readers from a literal reading toward deeper faith in Jesus as the source of true life. In this framework, the “Bread of Life” functions not merely as metaphor but as a revelatory symbol integrating Christological, soteriological, and ecclesiological dimensions. Findings show that this symbol is rooted in Old Testament motifs such as manna, Exodus, and wisdom, reinterpreted Christologically in Jesus. The feeding miracle points beyond physical sustenance to divine revelation, culminating in the statement “I am the Bread of Life.” John 6:51b–58 intensifies this sacramental meaning, forming the basis for Eucharistic theology, where participation in Christ’s body and blood signifies existential communion with God. The study concludes that John integrates Christology and sacramental theology, portraying faith as movement from sign to reality, recognition to participation, and revelation to communion with Christ.

California papaya leaves (Carica papaya L.) are known to contain various active compounds that have the potential to stimulate appetite and boost metabolism, making them a promising candidate for development as a pharmaceutical formulation. This study aims to design a capsule formulation of California papaya leaf extract with appropriate excipients and to evaluate its ability to increase body weight through preclinical testing using a zebrafish (Danio rerio). The extract was obtained via maceration with 96% ethanol and formulated into capsules using the wet granulation method in four variations (F0–F3). Physical evaluations included organoleptic properties, flowability, angle of repose, loss on drying, disintegration time, weight uniformity, and stability testing using the cycling test method. The results indicated that all formulas met the physical requirements, with disintegration times of 3–4 minutes and loss on drying <15%. Formula F2 exhibited the most optimal physical characteristics; however, stability testing revealed a decline in physical properties after extreme temperature treatment. Efficacy tests showed a significant increase in zebrafish weight (p < 0.05), with F3 yielding the best results. A high survival rate (≥80%) suggests the formulation is relatively safe. In conclusion, California papaya leaf extract capsules demonstrate significant potential as an agent to promote weight gain.

Preeclampsia is a pregnancy complication that significantly contributes to maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality worldwide. Globally, it affects approximately 3–8% of pregnancies and causes more than 70,000 maternal deaths each year. In Indonesia, preeclampsia accounts for around 30% of the 4,151 maternal deaths reported in 2024. In Padang City, there were 254 cases in 2023 and 129 cases in 2024, with Puskesmas Bungus having the highest prevalence (7.2% and 3.77%). This study aimed to analyze the association between body mass index (BMI), history of hypertension, and history of preeclampsia with the incidence of preeclampsia among pregnant women at Puskesmas Bungus, Padang. This study used a quantitative case-control design involving 50 cases and 50 controls. Data were analyzed using chi-square and logistic regression tests. The results showed significant associations between obesity (p=0.031; OR=2.897), history of preeclampsia (p=0.006; OR=13.821), and history of hypertension (p=0.002; OR=17.216) with the incidence of preeclampsia. Multivariate analysis identified history of hypertension as the most dominant factor associated with preeclampsia. This study concludes that obesity, history of hypertension, and history of preeclampsia are significant risk factors for preeclampsia among pregnant women. Strengthening early detection and routine antenatal care for high-risk pregnancies is necessary to reduce maternal complications associated with preeclampsia.

This study analyzes the integration of aesthetics and ethics in cosmetology education and its implications for strengthening the professionalism of cosmetology teachers. Cosmetology is often viewed as an applied field that primarily produces visual beauty through make-up, skin care, hair care, and cosmetic services. However, professional cosmetology practice also involves moral responsibility because it deals directly with the human body, personal identity, safety, comfort, and client trust. This article uses a normative qualitative method with conceptual and philosophical approaches through library research. The analysis is organized through three dimensions of philosophy of science: ontology, epistemology, and axiology. The findings show that, ontologically, cosmetology studies beauty and the human body not merely as physical objects, but as subjects with value, dignity, and diverse meanings. Epistemologically, cosmetology knowledge is constructed through the integration of scientific theory, practical skills, professional experience, sanitation principles, occupational safety, and service standards. Axiologically, cosmetology contains ethical values that guide beauty practices so that they remain honest, safe, responsible, and respectful of human dignity. The integration of aesthetics and ethics strengthens the role of cosmetology teachers as educators, professional models, and character builders in vocational education. Therefore, cosmetology learning should not only emphasize technical competence and visual results, but also internalize ethical awareness, reflective judgment, and responsibility in every stage of professional practice.

This study examines the controversy surrounding the granting of investigative authority over electoral crimes to the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) within the framework of the Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Sentra Gakkumdu). The research problem focuses on whether investigative authority should be directly assigned to Bawaslu and the main factors contributing to the suboptimal enforcement of electoral law in Indonesia. The study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the institutional design of Sentra Gakkumdu and to formulate an ideal model for electoral law enforcement in Indonesia. This research employs a normative legal method with statutory, conceptual, and comparative approaches. The analysis is strengthened through bibliometric mapping using the VOSviewer application to examine the development of studies on electoral law enforcement and institutional design, as well as by comparing Indonesia’s electoral law enforcement system with those of Norway, New Zealand, and Sweden. The findings indicate that the primary issue does not lie in the absence of investigative authority within Bawaslu, but rather in the limited investigation timeframe, weak interinstitutional coordination, and inflexible regulations.

Human happiness does not lie in physical pleasure, victory, wealth, honour, worldly power, a beautiful body, or the senses. People in religious communities seek something deeper, contemplating and acknowledging the highest value in union with God. Thomas Aquinas, in his Summa Contra Gentiles, arguments that human happiness lies in the contemplation of God, through which one attains peace and fulfilment in total self-surrender to God. However, in the lived experience of religious communities, a fear of matters related to sexuality is evident. Indeed, some misunderstand and misinterpret these matters, resulting in monks and nuns who become cold, dry, and rigid, acting in ways that violate sexual morality, thereby disrupting or even destroying—their ministry due to such improper conduct. Based on this, the author recognises the importance of education and the appreciation of sexual values for religious communities. Using a literature review method involving relevant books, journals, articles, and Church documents with a theological approach, it was found that the education of religious people requires aspects of happiness and sexuality education. The results of the study indicate that Thomas Aquinas’s concept of happiness can bridge religious life with sexuality education, which is one aspect that must be understood and lived out. Therefore, the happiness of love and the sexuality education of religious people need to be explored and lived out in the course of living and experiencing life as a religious person.
