The Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) implemented in Jorong Padang Rantang, Nagari Koto Tuo, Lima Puluh Kota Regency, represents a tangible contribution of university students in supporting the acceleration of stunting reduction at the local level. This community service activity focused on stunting prevention socialization targeting mothers of toddlers as the primary target group. An educational and participatory approach was employed to encourage active engagement of participants throughout all stages of the activity. The socialization materials covered the definition of stunting, its causes and impacts on child growth and development, the importance of adequate and balanced nutrition, appropriate parenting practices, and the strategic role of families during the First 1,000 Days of Life (1,000 HPK).The implementation of the activity involved cadres from the Amanah Bunda Integrated Health Post (Posyandu), village midwives, and KKN students from Universitas Negeri Padang as facilitators. The methods applied included interactive lectures, group discussions, and simple simulations related to nutritional practices and healthy parenting. The results indicated an increase in participants’ knowledge, awareness, and active community participation in early stunting prevention efforts. Furthermore, the activity strengthened the role of the Posyandu as a primary center for basic health services and community education. This community service initiative is expected to serve as a sustainable community-based intervention model that can be replicated in other areas facing similar challenges.

First aid in emergencies is an essential skill that must be possessed by nursing students as prospective health workers. Educational media in the form of practical guidebooks is believed to be able to improve students' knowledge and skills, but their effectiveness needs to be proven empirically. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the educational media of the Emergency First Aid Guide in improving the knowledge and skills of Basic Life Assistance (BHD) for nursing students. The research design used was pre-experimental with a one group pretest-posttest design approach. The research sample consisted of nursing students selected through purposive sampling techniques. The research instruments include a knowledge questionnaire and a BHD skill observation sheet. Data analysis was carried out by the normality test and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed a significant improvement in respondents' knowledge from an average of M: 12; SD ± 2.52 to M: 17; SD ± 1.55 (Z = -7.789; p = 0.00), as well as an improvement in BHD skills from M: 83; SD ± 9 to M: 99; SD ± 10.2 (Z = -7.789; p = 0.00). These findings show that educational media in the form of handbooks is effective in improving the ability of nursing students to deal with emergency situations. This media can be used as an alternative strategy in emergency nursing learning to support students' clinical readiness.

Cardiac arrest is a critical medical emergency with a high mortality rate that requires immediate and appropriate action to increase the chances of survival. One key factor in improving survival outcomes is the involvement of bystanders, particularly young people, in providing Basic Life Support (BLS). This community service activity was carried out to improve the knowledge and practical skills of youth organization members (Karang Taruna) in Kota Bambu Subdistrict, West Jakarta, in recognizing and responding to cardiac arrest using BLS procedures. The activity adopted the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) approach. The planning stage involved the preparation of materials and training tools for both theoretical and practical learning. The implementation phase included a 45-minute health education session covering the basics of BLS, especially cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), followed by hands-on training. Participants were divided into small groups and guided through practical CPR simulations using manikins, facilitated by six trained nursing students. The activity was conducted on June 14, 2025, and attended by 57 participants, with 27 actively participating in the CPR practice session. The evaluation stage revealed a notable increase in the participants’ understanding and ability to perform CPR effectively. This indicates that community-based BLS training can be a powerful tool in improving emergency response at the grassroots level. In addition to raising awareness, the activity also empowered the youth as first responders in their community, strengthening their role in emergency preparedness and response. The follow-up stage emphasized the importance of sustainability through continued collaboration between local health professionals and community organizations. In conclusion, BLS education and training programs for youth can significantly enhance community resilience and are recommended for broader implementation in other regions.

Mathematics plays a crucial role in everyday life, as it enhances students' abilities to absorb lessons more effectively and develop rational, critical, logical, analytical, and systematic thinking. This study employs the literature review method, which involves gathering relevant information from various sources to support the research topic. The author collects references from articles and journals using Google Scholar, an open-access database that simplifies the process of locating topic-specific materials. Difficulties faced by students in learning mathematics are not always due to a lack of mathematical knowledge. They may stem from other issues such as memory problems, difficulty in recalling mathematical problems, weak calculation skills, confusion with operational signs, or reversing numbers. Students with learning disabilities may particularly struggle with both mathematical reasoning and basic computation. Furthermore, mathematical learning difficulties are also associated with cognitive challenges, such as solving complex word problems and understanding numerical concepts. These learning difficulties often result from internal and external factors that hinder the brain’s ability to process, analyze, and retain mathematical information effectively.
