This study aims to test the effectiveness of the implementation of a simplified Mini-QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment) system in improving working conditions at the Syams Handicraft woven craft MSME in Pati Regency, Central Java. The study used a quantitative method with a one-group pretest–posttest design involving 47 workers as respondents. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires and observations before and after the twelve-week intervention. The results showed that the implementation of the Mini-QHSE system was able to significantly reduce the level of occupational safety and health risks and significantly improve worker welfare. Further analysis revealed that the Mini-QHSE system made a significant contribution to variations in OHS risks and worker welfare. The dimension of safe work procedures proved to be the most influential factor in reducing work risks, while the training aspect was the main factor in improving worker welfare. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Mini-QHSE system designed according to the capacity and characteristics of MSMEs is effective in creating a safer and more prosperous work environment. This model has the potential to be applied to similar MSMEs with contextual adjustments as a practical solution in managing quality, safety, and occupational health in the micro-business sector.

Raining activities on making ketupat weaving for adolescents are important to implement as an effort to preserve Indonesia’s local cultural heritage. Ketupat weaving is a traditional skill that contains cultural, social, and philosophical values, which are at risk of fading among younger generations. This community service program was specifically designed for adolescents with the aim of providing hands-on experience and practical skills in traditional ketupat weaving. The training was conducted through several stages, including preparation, direct practice, guidance, and evaluation. Participants were actively involved in the entire process, starting from selecting materials, learning basic weaving techniques, to completing the final woven ketupat forms. The results of the activity indicate positive outcomes, including the improvement of participants’ traditional crafting skills, increased awareness of cultural values embedded in ketupat weaving, and strengthened social interaction among adolescents. In addition, the training contributed to fostering a sense of cultural pride and responsibility in preserving local traditions. Overall, this community service activity demonstrates that practical and participatory cultural training can serve as an effective medium for cultural transmission, character development, and social engagement among adolescents, while supporting the sustainability of local cultural heritage in the modern era.

This research aims to examine the application of weaving techniques combined with macrame in making hoodie jackets made from used denim, as an effort to support sustainable fashion. The background of this research is the increase in textile waste, especially used denim, which has not been maximally utilized. The method used is Research and Development (R&D), with the stages of design design, making samples of woven techniques, validation by experts, and making prototypes. The technique applied was two-axis plaiting combined with macrame knots using braided cotton rope. The results showed that the combination of these two techniques could be effectively applied to the hoodie jacket structure. The resulting prototype proved to be functional, comfortable to wear, and has high aesthetic value. This research is in line with previous findings such as Syaani (2020), which showed the role of webbing as a structural and decorative element, as well as Tiara Lugina (2015) and Mayarani (2019), which highlighted the visual strength of traditional techniques in modern fashion. Based on the results of the research, it is suggested that pressing of the seams is done before turning to prevent thickening, and macrame knots are locked on the lining to make it more stable. The results of this study show that the combination of webbing and macrame with used denim is effectively applied in the design of an innovative and environmentally friendly jacket.

The PKM activity was carried out by male and female students of KKM Universitas Bina Bangsa, group 41 of 2025. The stages of activities carried out in this program include three main phases. The pre-implementation stage was carried out through a process of observation and direct visits to the homes of bamboo craftsmen in Sumur Kuya Village, Mekarsari Village. Students conducted short interviews to explore obstacles and potential in production activities carried out so far. The implementation stage included practical work on making household products such as winnowing baskets, food covers, tissue holders, and bamboo baskets by KKM41 participants, guided directly by the craftsmen. Students also provided light training on product design to make it more attractive and competitive in the market. The final stage, the evaluation stage, was conducted through product socialization activities to the local community, including mini-exhibitions and open discussions. The community was educated on the importance of preserving local heritage while remaining open to innovation in production and marketing. This activity was held from July 18–20, 2025. The methods used included observation, field surveys, interviews, and hands-on practice. The purpose of this study is to understand the triple roles of elderly women who are still productive in the pandan leaf weaving business in Mbatakapidu Village, Waingapu City District, East Sumba Regency, through a description of: Reproductive Roles, Production Roles and Social/Community Roles. This study attempts to understand the role of elderly women weaving craftsmen through the lens of the triple roles theory. By utilizing qualitative research methods and data collection techniques are interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the elderly in Mbatakapidu Village are still productive in doing household chores and weaving, this is done to fulfill household life. Age is no longer an obstacle for elderly women weaving craftsmen in Mbatakapidu because they are still able to carry out three-fold roles, namely the role of reproduction, the role of production and social roles, only to fulfill household needs or household economics. While elderly women should be able to no longer work and focus on their health due to their susceptibility to illness, the opposite is true in Mbatakapidu. This triple role is truly implemented by the elderly women through mat weaving.
