Patient anxiety during tooth extraction is a common challenge in dental practice that can affect patient experience and outcome of the procedure. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of approaches and strategies to address patient anxiety during tooth extraction procedures. Through counseling designed to improve patient understanding of the causes of anxiety, relaxation skills, and communication with the dentist, this study measured its impact on patient anxiety levels and preparedness. The study involved patients undergoing tooth extraction procedures, where they attended a counseling session that included information on factors that cause anxiety, breathing relaxation techniques, and communication skills. Data were collected before and after the counseling through a survey that assessed patient knowledge, ability to apply relaxation techniques, self-confidence, and anxiety levels. The results showed a significant increase in patient understanding of the causes of anxiety from 50% to 85%, ability to apply relaxation techniques from 30% to 75%, and self-confidence in facing the procedure from 40% to 80%. In addition, the ability to communicate with the dentist increased from 45% to 78%, and anxiety levels decreased from 70% to 40%. These findings confirm that an educational approach is effective in reducing patient anxiety, increasing preparedness, and improving the experience during tooth extraction. This strategy can be implemented widely to improve the quality of care and patient well-being in dental practice.

Background: Students who are writing their theses experience several psychological disorders, one of which is anxiety disorders. One suitable treatment for treating anxiety disorders is to carry out Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response relaxation or commonly known as (ASMR). Watching ASMR videos can make students who feel anxious become calmer and more relaxed so that they can reduce their anxiety level and can complete their thesis according to the desired time. Objective: This research is to determine the effect of Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) relaxation on students' anxiety levels in facing a thesis for final year regular nursing students at the University of Indonesia Maju in 2023. Method: This research uses a quantitative research design with a one-group pre-test design approach before the treatment is given and a post-test after the treatment is given. Results: The majority of respondents are women (86.7%) and the majority of respondents were aged 21-22 years (86.7%). The majority of respondents before being given the intervention were in the mild anxiety category (46.7%) and the majority of respondents after being given the intervention were in the no anxiety category (73.3%). The Wilcoxon test result was p = 0.001 < 0.05, which means HA was accepted. Conclusion: There is an influence of Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) relaxation on final year regular nursing students in preparing their thesis at the Advanced Indonesia University.

Anxiety is a mistake, doubt in something that will happen with an unclear cause or object related to feelings of uncertainty such as worry about facing surgery. To overcome anxiety, there are types of therapy that can be applied by nurses, namely pharmacological therapy and non-pharmacological therapy. One type of non-pharmacological therapy that can be used is the Benson relaxation technique. This study aims to determine the effect of Benson relaxation on reducing anxiety levels in pre-operative patients in the Dahlia Room, Tanjungpinang City Hospital. The design of this research is a pre-experiment with one group pretest posttest type. The number of samples in this study was 21 preoperative patients using the Accidental Sampling technique. The instrument used was the Amsterdam Preoperative Anxiety And Information Scale (APAIS) questionnaire. Then analyzed using the non-parametric Wilcoxon test. Univariate results before being given Benson relaxation showed that 33.3% had mild anxiety, 66.7% had moderate anxiety, and after Benson relaxation 85.7% had mild anxiety, 14.3% had moderate anxiety. Bivariate results show that the hypothesis is accepted with a p-value of 0.000. It was concluded that there was an effect of Benson relaxation on reducing anxiety levels in pre-operative patients in the Dahlia Room, Tanjungpinang City Hospital. From this research, it is hoped that the Benson relaxation technique can be used as an alternative therapy to reduce patient anxiety levels that does not have harmful side effects for patients.

This can be overcome if the respondent has good enough resilience and self-efficacy so that he can manage self-care and regulate glycemic levels and strive for better health. The aim of the research is to determine the relationship between resilience, self-efficacy and depression with self-care management in patients with diabetes mellitus in the Besuki Community Health Center working area. This research design is cross sectional/analytic correlation. The study population included 38 Diabetes Mellitus patients with Gangrene. The sampling technique uses probability sampling, total sampling. The sampling used was 38 people. The instrument uses a questionnaire sheet. And multiple linear regression statistical tests. The research results showed that the average resilience was 70.02, self-efficacy was 71, mild depression was 17 respondents and the average self-care management score was 72. Resilience increased self-care management with a p value of 0.000 ≤ α 0.005. Self-efficacy increases self-care management with a p value of 0.000 ≤ α 0.005 with an average coefficient of . the results of multiple linear regression obtained a p value of 0.000 ≤ α 0.005. There is a relationship between self-efficacy, resilience and depression with self-care management in patients with diabetes mellitus in the Besuki Community Health Center working area with a p value of 0.000 ≤ α 0.005 with a coefficient value of 0.608 so, Self-efficacy influences self-care 6 times more than other variables. Anxiety is felt most acutely in vulnerable and high-risk populations during the COVID-19 pandemic, namely pregnant women. Excessive anxiety causes levels of stress hormones in the body to increase and inhibits cervical dilation, resulting in prolonged labour. Long delivery is one of the causes of high maternal mortality rates in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the age and anxiety of third trimester pregnant women in facing childbirth during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2022. The research design used was Cross-Sectional with an analytical survey method. Sampling by purposive sampling technique, a sample of 74 respondents. Data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate. The results showed that there was a relationship between age and third-trimester pregnant women's anxiety in facing childbirth in 2022 with a contingency coefficient value of C = 0.315 which was low (0.20-0.399).
