A bustier plays a crucial role in supporting the body, enhancing its shape, and enhancing aesthetics, especially when worn with a kebaya or evening gown. This study aims to analyze the results of bustier production using three different types of boning, such as needle-inserted boning, sewn-in boning, and steel boning, to determine the most optimal type of boning. The method used is Research and Development (R&D), encompassing data collection, product design, validation, testing, and product revision. This study found that the bustier with inserted boning achieved fairly good results with an average score of 3.00, which equates to 75.00% and falls into the “acceptable” category, while the bustier with sewn-in boning demonstrated the most optimal results. Based on validation testing by two expert validators, this product received an average score of 3.64 out of a total of 4, with a 90.91% acceptability rate, which falls into the “highly acceptable” category. The bustier with steel boning received an average score of 2.82, or 70.45%, which also falls into the “acceptable” category. Steel boning is not yet widely available, so its availability should be confirmed before production begins. Installing both sewn boning and steel boning requires precision. Therefore, it is recommended that you first practice structural sewing techniques.

This study analyzes the integration of aesthetics and ethics in cosmetology education and its implications for strengthening the professionalism of cosmetology teachers. Cosmetology is often viewed as an applied field that primarily produces visual beauty through make-up, skin care, hair care, and cosmetic services. However, professional cosmetology practice also involves moral responsibility because it deals directly with the human body, personal identity, safety, comfort, and client trust. This article uses a normative qualitative method with conceptual and philosophical approaches through library research. The analysis is organized through three dimensions of philosophy of science: ontology, epistemology, and axiology. The findings show that, ontologically, cosmetology studies beauty and the human body not merely as physical objects, but as subjects with value, dignity, and diverse meanings. Epistemologically, cosmetology knowledge is constructed through the integration of scientific theory, practical skills, professional experience, sanitation principles, occupational safety, and service standards. Axiologically, cosmetology contains ethical values that guide beauty practices so that they remain honest, safe, responsible, and respectful of human dignity. The integration of aesthetics and ethics strengthens the role of cosmetology teachers as educators, professional models, and character builders in vocational education. Therefore, cosmetology learning should not only emphasize technical competence and visual results, but also internalize ethical awareness, reflective judgment, and responsibility in every stage of professional practice.

Background: Nallaswamy Class III alveolar ridge refers to an edentulous alveolar bone that has undergone resorption, resulting in a moderate ridge height with a knife-edge ridge form. This condition is relatively common and has been reported to reach a prevalence of approximately 89% in edentulous mandibles. Objective: To describe the prosthodontic treatment implications in patients with Nallaswamy Class III alveolar ridge using an acrylic resin removable partial denture (RPD). Case Report: A 22-year-old female patient presented to RSGM Soelastri with complaints of discomfort while chewing due to the loss of several posterior teeth in the mandible. The teeth had been extracted three years earlier due to caries and retained roots. Intraoral examination revealed healthy dentition in the maxillary arch and edentulous areas at teeth 35, 36, 45, and 46 in the mandibular arch. The alveolar ridge in the edentulous area showed a knife-edge form with moderate height, consistent with Nallaswamy Class III. Discussion: The condition was classified as Applegate-Kennedy Class III modification 1P with bilateral bounded saddle areas, which may affect mastication, aesthetics, and speech. Conclusion: Partial edentulism with a knife-edge alveolar ridge can be effectively managed using an acrylic resin removable partial denture.

Public facility cleanliness is a reflection of cultural values and collective social responsibility. Bus stops, as daily transit points for thousands of commuters, often face declining cleanliness due to limited user participation and management. This community service program was conducted on April 22, 2026, at RSAL Bus Stop, Surabaya, Indonesia, with one researcher as the sole implementer. The objectives were to improve physical cleanliness, provide environmental education, and enhance aesthetics through greening. The method consisted of three activities: installing cleanliness reminder posters, cleaning the bus stop area, and adding ornamental plants in flower pots. Evaluation employed qualitative descriptive techniques, including observation, photographic documentation, and informal interviews. Findings revealed that the bus stop floor, initially littered with plastic waste, cigarette butts, and dry leaves, became clean after sweeping. Posters were successfully placed in visible positions, and three flower pots containing Sansevieria trifasciata and Epipremnum aureum created a fresher atmosphere. Users responded positively, noting improved comfort and cleanliness. The synthesis indicates that simple interventions by a single individual can generate meaningful improvements when combining physical cleaning, visual education, and greening. This initiative demonstrates that small-scale university-led social responsibility programs can serve as replicable models for sustainable public facility management.

This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of slang usage on the TikTok social media platform as a form of linguistic adaptation in digital communication. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this research examines how users modify language structures to create more effective, expressive, and socially meaningful interactions. Data were collected through participatory observation of content appearing on the For Your Page (FYP) feature and analyzed using textual and contextual methods. The findings reveal that slang formation on TikTok occurs within three main domains: phonological transformation through sound reduction to produce linguistic aesthetics, morphological modification through the creation of efficient acronyms, and cognitive-semantic shifts that redefine the meanings of existing vocabulary. These findings demonstrate that slang is not merely a temporary communication trend, but also functions as an important sociolinguistic instrument for constructing group identity, strengthening emotional connections, and reflecting the cognitive and cultural dynamics of contemporary digital society amid the rapid development of information technology.

This study aims to analyze the aesthetic values of Ranggawis Dance as a form of regional creative dance that develops in Purbalingga Regency. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, supported by a choreographic aesthetic approach. The theoretical framework used is the aesthetic theory proposed, which includes aspects of form, content, and performance. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation involving choreographers, musicians, dancers, and related parties in the performance of Ranggawis Dance. The data were analyzed descriptively using a qualitative approach by linking field findings with the applied aesthetic concepts. The results show that the aesthetics of Ranggawis Dance are formed through the harmony of form aspects, including movement, musical elements, and dancer composition; content aspects reflecting values of togetherness and joy within the community; and performance aspects demonstrated through synchronization (rampak) and dancers’ expressions. The dance movements, which combine Banyumasan, Jaipong, and contemporary elements, create a dynamic and harmonious impression, while the use of pentatonic scales strengthens the traditional character. The collaborative creative process between choreographers and musicians also contributes to the overall aesthetic unity of the performance. Therefore, Ranggawis Dance possesses strong aesthetic values, reflects local cultural identity, and has the potential to be further developed as part of traditional art preservation.

Edentulism is a condition of total tooth loss that has a significant impact on the efficiency of mastics, phonetics, and facial aesthetics. This case report presents the rehabilitation of a 72-year-old female patient with a condition of total mandible edentulus using two standard-diameter implants that support the overdenture with a locator retention system. Treatment procedures include clinical evaluation, radiographic analysis, implant placement, prosthesis placement, as well as follow-up evaluation to assess function and comfort. The results of the treatment showed an increase in patient retention, stability, and comfort in daily activities. In addition, patients reported improved confidence and quality of life after the use of implant-based overdentures. These findings confirm that overdenture with mandibular implant support is a predictive, effective, and reliable rehabilitation method in treating total edentulism. The success of this case provides clinical evidence that implant-based approaches are able to overcome the limitations of conventional prostheses, as well as being a solution that supports the functional and psychosocial aspects of elderly patients. Thus, implant-based overdenture can be recommended as the primary therapeutic option in the rehabilitation of mandibular edentulism.

The University of North Sumatra Mini Stadium is a sports complex covering an area of 6.4 hectares. This facility is located on Jalan Almamater, Padang Bulan, Medan Baru, Medan City, North Sumatra. Various sports activities are facilitated in this area, including volleyball, basketball, tennis, table tennis, taekwondo, rock climbing, archery, and soccer, all of which are integral parts of the facilities and infrastructure available at the Mini Stadium. In addition to the main stadium, the University of North Sumatra Mini Stadium complex is equipped with various supporting buildings and fields. These facilities serve as a means for developing and channeling students’ interests and athletic talents, as well as a public space that can be utilized by the people of Medan City for sports activities. However, functionally, the University of North Sumatra Mini Stadium complex is considered suboptimal in effectively accommodating and supporting sports activities. The non-compliance of installations with applicable standards, as well as the condition of a number of facilities that no longer meet suitability criteria and tend to be neglected particularly the soccer field and its supporting facilities are the main problems at the University of North Sumatra Mini Stadium complex. Therefore, the redesign of the University of North Sumatra’s mini stadium, using a structural architecture approach as an aesthetic element, is expected to result in a building that is not only structurally sound but also aesthetically pleasing.

This study aims to explore the shift in students' ethical paradigms regarding the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its relationship to the phenomenon of plagiarism. Using a qualitative approach with the theoretical frameworks of Jean Baudrillard's Simulacra and Pierre Bourdieu's Habitus, this study examines how AI technology is changing the nature of scientific work. The results show the normalization of AI use as a new "digital habitus," where 83% of students consider AI a legitimate research tool, but on the other hand, it creates a condition of "Aesthetics Without Substance." The main findings reveal a reduction in originality where academic honesty is only measured through technical scores (such as Turnitin), rather than intellectual depth. The comparison between authentic and AI-based writing indicates the risk of systemic intellectual atrophy. In conclusion, this study recommends the need for a redesign of educational evaluation systems that focus on processes and verbal dialectics to mitigate the impact of pseudo-competence on college graduates.

By examining how visual aesthetics play a crucial role in creating a hyperreal symbolic reality, this study critically investigates the creation and consumption of simulacra in the Instagram marketing of regional Indonesian fashion firms. This study shows that local brands actively create representational worlds that negotiate identity between claims of locality and global aesthetic standards, in addition to selling products, using an interpretative qualitative approach that combines netnography, visual semiotic analysis, and in-depth interviews with brand managers and consumers. According to the research, rigorous visual curation techniques result in what are known as ethical simulacra, in which ideals like sustainability and community support are reduced to beautiful pictures divorced from tangible behaviors. In addition to examining ethical conundrums in netnographic research within ambivalent digital settings, this analysis emphasizes the critical role that Instagram's algorithms play as non-human actors that influence aesthetic canons. By highlighting distinctive dynamics including self-exoticization tactics and modernity paradoxes that influence symbolic consumption patterns, this study theoretically advances Consumer Culture Theory and critical marketing by concentrating on the Indonesian setting. The study's findings suggest a more ethical and thoughtful approach to marketing when confronting the logic of digital hyperreality.

The aesthetics of Palace style puppet performances embody local wisdom and ancestral traditions that were later standardized into formal rules. Purbo Asmoro incorporates these elements of the Palace style into the shadow puppet performance of the play Irawan Rabi. The central problem addressed is: how is the aesthetic concept of cucut implemented in Purbo Asmoro's presentation of the Palace style shadow puppet play Irawan Rabi? This issue is analyzed using the aesthetic concepts proposed by Sunardi, supplemented by those of M.Ng. Najawirangka. The data collection methods included literature reviews and interviews; to ensure higher data accuracy, the play was also transcribed through the observation of audio visual recordings. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the cucut aesthetic concept is evident in Purbo Asmoro's success in constructing scenes that evoke a humorous impression. This is observable in the ginem of the Dwarawati State audience scene; the ginem of the perang ampyak; the sabet of the perang gagal scene; the ginem of the Yasarata Hermitage scene; the sabet of the perang kembang scene; the ginem of the Kaputren Dwarawati State scene; the ginem of Dwarawati Palace scene; and the ginem of rabine Irawan scene.

Background: Dental caries is a major problem in orodental health, especially in children. The primary cause of caries is the activity of cariogenic microorganisms. Unbalanced remineralization of dental tissue followed by destruction of organic matters may cause cumulative and progressive damage to the tooth structure. Extensive caries lesions that have reached the pulp are an indication for pulp therapy with appropriate crown restoration. Case Report: A 10-year-old boy came with a complaint of a painful cavity in his upper right front tooth. The patient was considered communicative and cooperative. The patient also had a habit of consuming sweets. An intraoral examination revealed extensive caries on the entire surface of 53. A periapical radiograph showed a radiolucent area reaching the pulp cavity on the occlusal surface of 53 with resorption of the apical one-third of the root. Based on the examination results, reversible pulpitis was established as the primary diagnosis. The treatment plan was pulpotomy with a dental crown restoration. Treatment was carried out over four visits. First visit included complete examination, periapical radiography, and pulpotomy. The second visit included core buildup, tooth preparation, and dental impressions. The third visit included try-in and crown insertion, followed by a final follow-up visit. Conclusion: Pulpotomy with dental crown restoration can be an effective clinical approach to restore the function and aesthetics of anterior deciduous teeth, especially in cases that consider aesthetics and cost limitations.

Permanent tooth loss is a common oral health problem experienced by patients. This condition can be caused by pathological conditions such as tooth decay, leading to tooth extraction. Rehabilitation treatment for partial posterior tooth loss aims to restore masticatory function, maintain occlusal relationships and periodontal health, and improve aesthetics. A 34-year-old man came with a complaint that his lower right posterior tooth had been extracted and wanted a permanent dentures to replace his missing tooth. The intraoral and periapical radiograph examination revealed that 46 was missing, and 47 had enamel caries. The diagnosis for 46 was determined to be partial edentulous. The treatment plan was a PFM fixed-fixed bridge with a sanitary pontic for 46, a rigid connector, and a full crown retainer for 45 and 47. In this case, the choice of PFM bridge is based on several considerations, i.e., high chewing loads, relatively low cost, and high long-term success. The PFM bridge has been the primary choice for posterior tooth rehabilitation, due to its durability and cost-effectiveness.

Oral literature is a form of storytelling from one individual to another in a concise manner as a representation of a society's culture. One type that is interesting to study in this field is legends. This study examines the Keong Mas legend using Burhan Nurgiyantoro's structuralism approach theory, which focuses on analyzing the relationship between intrinsic and extrinsic elements in literary works. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method that aims to reveal the narrative structure and social and cultural meanings contained in the legend as a reflection of the moral values and local wisdom of the people of East Java. The information collection method used observation and note-taking. The results of the analysis show that the Keong Mas legend has a cohesive story structure, including theme, characters, plot, setting, and point of view, which simultaneously reflect the values of loyalty, justice, and family conflict in a socio-cultural context. These findings confirm the relevance of oral literature as a medium for the inheritance of living and evolving cultural values, and contribute to the understanding of cultural identity and literary aesthetics in Indonesia, especially in the East Java region.

The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of the policy to convert the Abu Bakar Ali (ABA) parking area toward vendors and parking attendants. The data collection technique used was descriptive qualitative research, obtained from in-depth interviews with vendors and parking attendants and observations at the relocation site of the Malioboro Abu Bakar Ali 2 Parking Area. The Abu Bakar Ali parking lot conversion policy was an effort by the Yogyakarta City Government to improve the aesthetics of the Malioboro area and preserve cultural heritage. The findings reveal a significant gap between the environmental and cultural objectives of the policy and the socio-economic reality, with low tourist visitation to the new location resulting in a drastic decrease in income, leading to resentment among vendors and parking attendants. Therefore, the Yogyakarta City Government needs to review the implementation of this policy so that it does not lead to horizontal conflicts between the government and the vendors and parking attendants.
