This study aims to examine the simultaneous and partial effects of the work environment and work-life balance on employee work stress at Hotel X. The research design is causal quantitative, with multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 26.0 for Windows. The sample was obtained through purposive sampling (non-probability) of 120 respondents. The research subjects were employees working in shifts. The analysis results show that, (1) both variables simultaneously have a negative and significant effect on work stress, (2) the work environment has a negative and significant effect (sig. 0.002), and (3) work-life balance has a negative and significant effect (sig. 0.000). The work-life balance variable dominates its influence compared to the work environment, as seen from the lower significance value. These findings confirm that improving work-life balance and the work environment effectively reduces stress, especially for shift workers who are vulnerable to time imbalance. Based on the results, organizations are advised to optimize human resource management by maintaining a balance between job demands and employee conditions, as well as ensuring a proportional workload. Improvement in work-life balance can be achieved through flexible leave policies, adequate breaks between shifts, no overtime days except in emergencies, and minimizing personal time interruptions. These steps are expected to enhance employee well-being, retention, and productivity in the hospitality sector. Further research is recommended to explore different variables and methods, including comparing non-shift employees with the same variables, for more comprehensive insights.

Abstract: The digital era demands that every individual possess visual literacy competencies, but in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), access to technology is often limited to maintain focus on worship. The main problem at the Salafiyah Al-Furqon Islamic Boarding School in Sawangan, Magelang Regency, is the digital skills gap among 12th-grade students. This is caused by the boarding school's policy of only allowing mobile phone use during semester breaks, leaving students lacking practical multimedia skills prior to graduation. This community service activity aims to provide a solution through basic photography and videography training as a soft skill for alumni independence. The method used is a workshop that combines theoretical explanations and direct practice (experiential learning). The results of this activity show a significant increase in students' technical competency; participants are able to operate smartphone cameras with stable shooting techniques, understand the principles of visual composition (such as the rule of thirds and leading lines), and are able to perform basic video editing using mobile-based software applications. Through this training, Islamic boarding school graduates are expected to become individuals who are adaptive to technological developments and able to utilize visual media as a means of creative economics and digital da'wah after graduation.

This study is motivated by the importance of improving the performance of police officers as the frontline of public service, which is influenced by transformational leadership, organizational communication, and work discipline. In practice, variations in officer performance are still observed at police precincts under the Solok Police Department, as evidenced by differences in case resolution rates, service responsiveness, and the effectiveness of task execution. These conditions are suspected to be related to the suboptimal implementation of transformational leadership, organizational communication, and work discipline among officers. This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and organizational communication on police officer performance, as well as to test the role of work discipline as a moderating variable. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a field research design. The study population consisted of all 126 members of the police stations under the Solok Police Department, with a sample size of 124 respondents. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to police officers, which were then analyzed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results of the study indicate that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on member performance, with a coefficient of 0.754, a T-statistic of 3.550 (>1.96), and a P-value of 0.000 (<0.05); thus, the first hypothesis is accepted. Organizational communication has a negative and significant effect on performance with a coefficient of -0.615, a T-statistic of 2.509 (>1.96), and a P-value of 0.012 (<0.05). Work discipline does not moderate the effects of transformational leadership or organizational communication on performance, as both show insignificant results. In conclusion, improved police officer performance can be achieved through the implementation of effective transformational leadership and the strengthening of organizational communication.

This study aims to examine the effect of Return on Assets (ROA), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and e-IPO regulation on the level of IPO underpricing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2021–2025 period. The research employs a causal quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis. Secondary data were collected from the prospectuses and financial statements of companies conducting Initial Public Offerings (IPOs).The results indicate that ROA does not have a significant effect on underpricing (significance value = 0.181). Similarly, DER is found to have no significant influence on underpricing (significance value = 0.268). The simultaneous test also shows a non-significant result, with an F-significance value of 0.120, suggesting that the independent variables collectively do not affect IPO underpricing. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.175 implies that only 17.5% of the variation in underpricing can be explained by the variables included in the model, while the remaining 82.5% is attributable to other factors outside the study, such as market sentiment, underwriter reputation, and oversubscription levels. These findings suggest that investors in the Indonesian IPO market tend to prioritize short-term capital gain opportunities rather than relying on firms’ financial fundamentals. Consequently, accounting-based indicators are not sufficiently influential in shaping stock prices during the first day of trading.

Food security is a complex issue closely related to various aspects such as agriculture, nutrition, health, and the environment. In the context of global development, food security is an integral part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 2: Zero Hunger. This study aims to analyze the implementation of food security policies in supporting the achievement of the SDGs and to identify the factors that hinder the successful implementation of these policies. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method, examining various secondary data sources including books, journal articles, laws and regulations, official government reports, mass media, and relevant online publications. The results show that the Indonesian government has undertaken various efforts to achieve food security through strengthening regulations, starting from Law Number 18 of 2012, Government Regulation Number 17 of 2015, and Presidential Regulation Number 125 of 2022. These efforts are supported by increased budget allocation, local wisdom-based food diversification programs, food estate programs, and strengthening national food reserves through cross-sectoral coordination. However, the implementation of these policies still faces four structural constraints, namely high population growth, the conversion of agricultural land, the impact of climate change on agricultural productivity, and low interest among the younger generation, which threatens farmer regeneration. The implications of this study indicate that the successful implementation of food security policies in supporting the achievement of the SDGs requires comprehensive, sustainable strategies and effective cross-sector collaboration.

This study investigated the logical function of clause complexes in two selected English nursery tales, Jack the Giant Killer and Jack and the Beanstalk, using Halliday’s Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) framework. The research focuses on the realization of clause interpendency through the taxis system (parataxis, hypotaxis, and taxis combination) and logico-semantic relations (elaboration, extension, enhancement, idea and locution). The method employed is qualitative content analysis based on Krippendorf involving processes such as unitizing, sampling, coding, reducing, interpreting, and narrating. From 1,048 clauses analyzed, 341 wereidentified as clause complexes. The findings show that enhancement is the most dominant logico-semantic relation (164 cases), followed by extension (123 cases), elaboration (100 cases), locution (57 cases), andidea (22 cases). The findings show that paratxis is the most dominant taxis in selected English nursery tales. While hypotaxis relations mostly realized in enhancement, while extension appeared dominantly in parataxis. These results reveal that although nursery tales are intended for children, they often employ complex grammatical structure, therefore, balancing narrative engagement and linguistic accessibility is crucial to support children’s language development and reading comprehension.

This study aims to conduct a systematic synthesis of available empirical evidence to empirically ascertain the impact of Board of Directors' competence on earnings management practices in Islamic banking. The research employs a qualitative literature review approach. A literature search was performed on the Scopus database for the period 2010–2025, utilizing a combination of the keywords "Islamic bank," "Board of Director," and "Earnings Management." From an initial pool of 127 identified documents, a rigorous screening process based on inclusion and exclusion criteria yielded 53 reputable journal articles as the final units of analysis. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis to synthesize substantive findings. The synthesis results consistently confirm that Board of Directors' competence demonstrates a negative and significant impact on earnings management practices in Islamic banking. However, the effectiveness of this impact is not homogeneous. The principal findings identify three crucial boundary conditions: (1) The presence of specific expertise in finance and Sharia contracts at the board level serves as the primary differentiator of supervisory effectiveness; (2) The complementary interaction with the Sharia Supervisory Board (SSB) moderates the strength of this relationship; and (3) The regional institutional context (centralization model in Southeast Asia vs. decentralization in the GCC) significantly influences the effectiveness of governance in curbing the manipulation of discretionary accounts, including the Profit Equalization Reserve (PER).

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital transformation and organizational innovation on sustainability performance, with leadership support and digital literacy as supporting variables and the role of moderating effects in strengthening the relationship between variables. The research method used a quantitative approach with Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS- SEM) analysis. Data were collected through a questionnaire measured using reflective indicators for each construct. The results of the measurement model test indicate that all indicators have outer loading values above 0.70, thus being valid in measuring the latent construct. Structurally, digital transformation has a positive effect on sustainability performance with a path coefficient of 0.124,  while organizational innovation shows a relatively weak effect  with a coefficient of 0.006. Leadership support and digital literacy have a fairly strong positive effect on sustainability performance with a coefficient value of 0.586. In addition, the first moderation effect provides a strengthening of the relationship to sustainability performance with a coefficient of 0.154, while the second moderation effect shows a very small effect with a value of 0.032. The R² value of 0.670 indicates that the model is able to explain 67% of the variation in sustainability performance, while the remainder is influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings confirm that the success of organizational sustainability performance does not only depend on digital transformation and organizational innovation, but is also greatly influenced by leadership support, digital literacy, and moderating mechanisms that strengthen the implementation of digital strategies. This research is expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions to organizations in designing digital- based sustainability strategies.

This systematic review maps how innovation, technology adoption, and Islamic entrepreneurial behaviors are intertwined and contribute to the SDGs. Searches in Scopus followed PRISMA 2020: of the 166 initial records, 46 were eliminated prior to screening; 120 filtered by title–abstract; 45 read in full; and 25 articles were analyzed in depth. Four RQs lead the synthesis: the form of innovation/adoption (RQ1), impact on behavior and performance (RQ2), and their relationship to the SDGs (RQ3). The findings show five complementary faces of innovation: (1) process-organization (knowledge management, open innovation; innovation capability), (2) sharia business/finance models (sharia venture capital, agricultural value chain finance), (3) financial and platform digitalization (fintech, Islamic crowdfunding), (4) technological innovation in business models (e.g., urban farming–aquaponics) that are value-framed, and (5) halal product/marketing innovation (halal assurance and halal trust). Behind that, the drivers are layered: individual values and psychology, Islamic HRM cultural orientation and organizational learning, Islamic finance architecture and regulation, and access to digital literacy and trust in the platform. The impact is multidimensional performance, access to ethical capital, halal market behavior, and social and religious environmental outcomes with strong contributions to SDG 8 and SDG 9, and footprints on SDGs 1–2, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17. This SLR offers an integrated financial innovation value framework and proposes SDGs micro-indicators; limitations mainly in the variation of measurements and the dominance of cross-section designs.

This study aims to examine the role of work engagement in life satisfaction among volunteers of the Involuntir community. Engagement in volunteer activities is often associated with subjective well-being; however, the dynamics of this relationship have not been fully understood, particularly in the context of young volunteers. This study employed a quantitative method with purposive sampling, involving 122 active Involuntir volunteers. The instruments used were the Utrecht Work engagement Scale (UWES-17) to measure work engagement and the Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) to assess life satisfaction. Data analysis was conducted using Spearman’s rho correlation test and regression analysis due to non-normally distributed data. Descriptive analysis results indicated that volunteers’ work engagement levels were categorized as high, while life satisfaction levels were categorized as moderate. The results of the Spearman’s rho correlation test revealed a significant negative relationship between work engagement and life satisfaction (r = −0.522; p < 0.05). Furthermore, regression analysis showed that work engagement had a significant effect on life satisfaction with a negative coefficient direction (β = −0.072; p < 0.05), indicating that higher levels of work engagement were associated with lower levels of perceived life satisfaction. Additionally, the Mann–Whitney difference test results indicated no significant differences in either work engagement or life satisfaction based on gender. Overall, this study suggests that high levels of volunteer engagement need to be managed in a balanced manner, as excessive engagement may potentially reduce life satisfaction. These findings highlight the importance of sustainable volunteer engagement management in supporting the subjective well-being of young volunteers
