The architecture of consumer decision-making has completely changed due to the quick development of recommendation systems based on artificial intelligence (AI). The majority of earlier studies saw algorithms as instruments for forecasting and maximizing preexisting preferences. This study, however, makes a different claim: algorithmic curation actively shapes preferences rather than just reflecting them. This study creates and evaluates a structural model that examines the impact of algorithmic curation intensity on perceived search autonomy, identity resonance, affective evaluation, and the development of initial preferences. The model is based on identity-based consumption theory and the literature on human-AI interaction. The study's findings, which are based on survey data from Generation Z consumers and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis, demonstrate a contradictory dynamic: algorithmic curation improves identity resonance and directly influences initial preferences while simultaneously decreasing feelings of autonomy. The primary mediating mechanism that links algorithmic exposure to emotional assessment and preference creation is identified as identity resonance. In addition to introducing the concept of algorithmic consumer formation as a new conceptual framework for comprehending consumer behavior in the AI-based digital era, our findings expand the notion of bounded rationality toward algorithmically bounded agency.

This study aims to assess the financial performance of the Sukoharjo Regency Government during the 2023-2024 period by employing cash flow statements as the primary analytical tool. Cash flow statements are considered essential as they provide a clear picture of liquidity conditions and the actual capacity of local governments to manage cash inflows and outflows. This research applies a descriptive quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from audited Budget Realization Reports and Cash Flow Statements. Financial performance is evaluated through revenue effectiveness ratios and expenditure efficiency ratios as key indicators of fiscal management. The results indicate that regional revenue realization consistently exceeded the established targets throughout the study period, placing revenue performance in the very effective category. This finding reflects the local government’s ability to maximize revenue potential during the post-pandemic economic recovery phase. However, the analysis of expenditure efficiency reveals that spending management has not yet reached an optimal level, as expenditure realization remained close to the allocated budget limits. These findings demonstrate that strong revenue performance does not necessarily correspond with efficient expenditure control. Consequently, local government financial performance should be evaluated comprehensively by integrating both revenue effectiveness and expenditure efficiency perspectives. This study contributes empirically to public sector accounting literature and offers practical insights for policymakers to strengthen budget control mechanisms and promote sustainable financial management at the regional level.

Legal certainty (rechtssicherheit) is a fundamental pillar of the rule of law, ensuring that legal provisions are clear, consistent, and predictable. In the Indonesian criminal justice system, the Public Prosecutor holds a central position as the Dominus Litis (the owner of the case), determining which cases proceed to court. However, the implementation of prosecutorial authority often leans towards rigid legal positivism, creating a paradox where procedural certainty is achieved at the expense of substantive justice. Disparities in prosecution demands for similar crimes often lead to public distrust and legal uncertainty for justice seekers. This study aims to analyze the challenges in maintaining legal certainty and proposes a strategy to enhance the prosecutor's role through the integration of Restorative Justice and professional discretion. The research employs a normative juridical method with statutory and conceptual approaches, analyzing Attorney General Regulation No. 15 of 2020. The study finds that enhancing legal certainty requires shifting the paradigm from "mechanical prosecution" to "discretionary prosecution" based on conscience. To achieve this, prosecutors must be equipped with high-level cognitive skills to interpret "certainty" not just as textual compliance, but as the consistent application of fairness.

Corruption in Indonesia is not merely a moral transgression but an extraordinary economic crime that depletes national resources. The ultimate objective of corruption eradication, therefore, must be the restoration of state financial losses (asset recovery).  However, the current formulation of the criminal law system specifically Article 18 of Law No. 31 of 1999 contains a critical policy flaw. The provision of "Subsidiary Imprisonment" (Pidana Pengganti) allows convicts to substitute their financial restitution obligations with a disproportionately short prison term. This mechanism inadvertently provides an economic incentive for corruptors to conceal assets and choose imprisonment, resulting in significant state revenue loss. This study aims to critique the current penal policy formulation and propose a comprehensive reformulation of the compensation system. The research employs a normative-juridical method with a statutory and conceptual approach, utilizing the "Economic Analysis of Law" theory to evaluate the efficiency of sanctions. The study argues that the penal policy must shift from a "person-based" approach (in personam) to an "asset-based" approach (in rem). It is imperative to abolish the subsidiary imprisonment option for high-value corruption and implement "Non-Conviction Based Forfeiture" to maximize the recovery of state losses. Furthermore, this policy shift requires law enforcers with high-level cognitive skills to trace complex financial trails.

This study aims to analyze the acoustic characteristics of coconut-fiber-based Cement-Bonded Particleboard (CBPB) through measurements of the Sound Absorption Coefficient (SAC, α) and Transmission Loss (TL). CBPB samples were fabricated with thickness variations of 12, 16, and 20 mm and tested using an impedance tube in accordance with ISO 10534-2:1998 for SAC and ASTM E90-09 (2016) for TL measurements. The study examined the effect of panel thickness on sound absorption and transmission loss across a frequency range of 125–4000 Hz. The results showed that the α value increased with both frequency and panel thickness, reaching a maximum of 0.78 at frequencies of 2500–3150 Hz for the 20 mm panel. The TL measurements indicated that the highest transmission loss reached 42 dB at a frequency of 4000 Hz. These findings suggest that thicker CBPB panels provide better acoustic performance, both in absorbing sound and reducing transmission. Overall, coconut-fiber-based CBPB demonstrates strong potential as an eco-friendly structural acoustic material suitable for applications in sustainable building design, interior partitions, and noise control solutions.

Employee shift scheduling in the hospitality industry remains a critical yet complex task due to fluctuating operational demands, fairness requirements, and labour regulations. Many hotels still rely on manual scheduling methods, which are time-consuming and prone to biases, particularly in ensuring fair workload distribution across employees. Despite numerous studies on workforce scheduling, limited attention has been given to integer linear programming (ILP) models that address gender-based restrictions and operational fairness simultaneously in real-world hotel contexts, especially in developing regions such as Central Java. This study proposes an Integer Linear Programming (ILP) model to generate optimal shift schedules for hotel staff over a 31-day planning horizon. The model incorporates operational constraints, including one shift per day, gender-based restrictions (which prevent female staff from working night shifts), availability, minimum staffing levels, and fairness in workload distribution. Key parameters and binary decision variables were defined to ensure compliance with the hotel's specific requirements. Empirical data were collected from a hotel in Central Java involving 20 employees, and the model was implemented using Python with a Gurobi solver. The ILP model successfully generated optimal schedules in under 10 seconds, significantly outperforming the manual method, which required over 4 hours. While the manual schedule resulted in an imbalance where some employees worked over 27 days and others only 22, the ILP approach enforced a strict maximum of 26 working days for all staff. Furthermore, the fairness index (FI) improved from 19.2% in the manual method to 0% in the ILP-generated schedule, indicating complete equity in workload allocation. The proposed ILP model demonstrates its effectiveness in improving scheduling fairness, operational efficiency, and compliance with labour policies. This work not only addresses a critical research gap in hospitality scheduling practices in Indonesia but also offers a replicable framework for other labour-intensive service sectors. Future research may explore multi-objective extensions incorporating employee preferences, satisfaction, and dynamic demand fluctuations.

Urban logistics is a significant source of carbon emissions in Indonesia, and effective decarbonization strategies are required. EVs offer a promising solution, but their impact requires quantitative evaluation within the local context. This study analyzes the effect of adopting an electric van fleet on total well-to-wheel carbon emissions within an urban distribution network in Indonesia. This study employs a comparative case study method. A baseline scenario consisting of 25 diesel vans is compared to an intervention scenario where electric vans replace the entire fleet. The emission analysis was conducted using the WtW framework, utilizing specific emission factors for diesel fuel from the IPCC (2006) and the Java-Madura-Bali (JAMALI) grid emission factor from IESR (2023) to ensure contextual relevance. The transition to an electric fleet successfully reduces the total well-to-wheel carbon footprint by 13.63%. This reduction is equivalent to an absolute CO2 emission decrease of nearly 3 tons of CO₂ per month. Nevertheless, indirect emissions from electricity generation still contribute a significant carbon footprint, indicating that the national energy mix is highly dependent on the environmental benefits of EVs. This study concludes that fleet electrification is a viable and effective decarbonization strategy for Indonesia’s logistics sector, even with the current state of the electricity grid. However, fleet decarbonization efforts must run in parallel with policies for a national transition toward renewable energy to maximize the emission reduction potential of electric mobility. Future research should include the total cost of ownership (TCO) and life cycle assessment (LCA) for a more holistic evaluation.
