Strengthening reading–writing literacy and numeracy has become a strategic priority in primary education, particularly in preparing prospective teachers who are capable of integrating these competencies contextually into classroom practice. This community engagement program aimed to enhance the conceptual understanding, pedagogical skills, and professional readiness of students from the Primary School Teacher Education Program (PGSD) at Universitas Satya Wiyata Mandala (USWIM) Nabire through a practice-based literacy and numeracy training model. The program was conducted over three days and involved 100 active students. The training adopted a practice-based approach consisting of conceptual reinforcement sessions, group discussions, lesson plan development, and microteaching simulations. Data were collected through observation, analysis of instructional materials, and written reflections, and analyzed using a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings indicate a significant shift in students’ understanding of literacy and numeracy—from technical skills to contextual and reasoning-based competencies. Participants demonstrated improved ability to design literacy–numeracy-based lesson plans and delivered more dialogic and participatory microteaching sessions. The program also fostered stronger professional awareness regarding the role of teachers in building foundational literacy and numeracy skills in primary education. Overall, the practice-based training proved effective in strengthening the professional preparedness of prospective primary school teachers in a contextual and systematic manner.

Schools serve as environments where children receive a formal education. In addition to serving as educational institutions, schools can also pose a risk for spreading diseases. Diarrhea accounts for up to 65% of deaths, while other illnesses contribute to 26%. Healthy and clean living practices involve initiatives to offer learning experiences or establish environments for individuals, families, groups, and communities by facilitating communication, sharing information, and arranging educational opportunities to enhance knowledge, attitudes, and actions. This community service seeks to impart knowledge and awareness of clean and healthy living habits to Sekolah Dsar children, enabling them to incorporate these practices into their everyday lives. This community service is conducted through counseling delivered via lectures, interactive discussions, and simulations utilizing LCD media and instructional materials. The event was successful, and everyone involved was excited about this service project.

Public speaking is an essential communication skill that plays a crucial role in enhancing self-confidence, delivering ideas effectively, and fostering social participation. However, many women in rural areas still lack opportunities to develop this skill due to limited access to training, gender stereotypes, and minimal experience in public forums. These challenges lead to low levels of women’s involvement, particularly housewives who are members of PKK, in community activities and decision-making processes at the local level. This study aims to examine the impact of public speaking training on improving the knowledge, self-confidence, and social participation of PKK mothers in Nagari Sumpur Kudus. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a participatory approach through interactive lectures, speaking practice simulations, reflective discussions, participatory observations, and qualitative evaluations. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing based on field notes, observations, and participants’ feedback. The findings indicate that the training successfully improved participants’ understanding of basic public speaking techniques, including intonation, eye contact, body language, and structured idea delivery. Furthermore, the participants experienced significant growth in self-confidence, courage to speak in front of groups, and motivation to continuously practice their communication skills. The interactive and supportive learning atmosphere also strengthened collaboration and solidarity among PKK members. Thus, public speaking training not only enhances individual competencies but also contributes to women’s empowerment and their active participation in community development at the village level.

Queueing systems play an important role in evaluating service performance, especially in small-scale businesses such as barbershops, where fluctuating customer arrival patterns and limited service capacity often lead to long waiting times. This study aims to analyze the performance of barbershop services using the M/M/1 queueing model and an analytical approach based on experimentally tested arrival (λ) and service (μ) rates. The model was selected because it represents a single-server system with Poisson arrivals and exponentially distributed service times, closely matching real barbershop operational characteristics. Using assumed realistic parameters, the analysis shows that when λ = 12 customers per hour and μ = 6 customers per hour, the system becomes unstable with a utilization rate (ρ) exceeding 1, indicating continuous queue growth. Further simulations with increased service rates demonstrate significant improvements: at μ = 15, the system achieves ρ = 0.8 with an average waiting time of 16 minutes, while at μ = 13, the system remains stable but experiences a long waiting time of approximately 55 minutes. These findings emphasize that barbershop performance is highly sensitive to service speed and that even small increases in μ can produce substantial improvements in queue stability and customer waiting times. The study concludes that barbershops must ensure adequate service capacity—either through optimizing service duration, improving worker efficiency, or adding servers—to maintain service quality and enhance customer satisfaction.

This community service activity aims to increase the understanding of students at State Senior High School 2 Mataram regarding information security by introducing the concepts of coding and cryptography in digital messages. The rapid use of messaging applications among teenagers makes students increasingly vulnerable to cyber threats, necessitating education on how data protection works in online communication. This program is implemented using a descriptive method consisting of planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The material covered includes basic cryptography concepts, end-to-end encryption mechanisms, and the practical process of the Diffie–Hellman key exchange thru the interactive simulation "Alice and Bob." Learning is designed contextually and participatively so that students can connect theory with the digital applications they use every day. The evaluation results showed an improvement in students' understanding, reflected in their active participation, ability to answer questions, and adequate post-test scores. This activity not only strengthens digital security literacy but also raises students' awareness of the importance of protecting personal data in online communication. This program is expected to be the beginning of more sustainable digital security learning development in the school environment.

Halal Product Processing (P3H) certification mentoring is a community service activity aimed at helping P3H training participants obtain halal certification in halal human resource competencies. The research was conducted by mentoring halal human resource participants around the KM 72A Rest Area. The method of this activity is PAR (Participatory Action Research) to be able to answer partner problems directly through a combination of knowledge transfer, field practice and ongoing coaching. Mentoring is carried out by training P3H participants by providing pre- and post-tests, as well as creating SiHalal accounts and of course uploading documents to the application. Conducting simulations in conducting halal verification and validation for assisted MSMEs. Training is carried out until P3H participants are eligible to receive certificates. The result of this service is the certification of P3H training participants, which is expected to provide added value for participants and the community around the KM 72A Rest Area and of course, public or buyer confidence in the sustainability of the halal zone at the KM 72A Rest Area

This study discusses the phenomenon of digital entrepreneurship in the era of global climate awareness, focusing on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) ethics, sustainable technology, and green innovation. The main issues raised are the fragmentation of analysis between digital business ethics, green economic opportunities, and technological challenges such as greenwashing, high AI energy consumption, and the digital divide. The purpose of this study is to formulate an interdisciplinary framework that combines ethical, technological, and sustainability dimensions to strengthen the role of digital entrepreneurs in achieving low-carbon development. The methods used include critical literature analysis, bibliometrics of 200 publications (2018-2025) using VOSviewer, and fuzzy logic-based simulations using the UNESCO AI ethics framework (2021) and the sustainable business model of Bocken et al. (2014). The results show four main research clusters: AI for Sustainable Innovation, Ethical Digital Business, Blockchain for Green Supply Chain, and Circular Digital Economy. The application of AI ethics increases the efficiency of green business decisions by up to 20%, consumer trust by 17%, and MSME participation by 14%. The synthesis of findings confirms that AI ethics acts as a conceptual mediator that strengthens the link between technological innovation and sustainability. In conclusion, ethical digital entrepreneurship has great potential as a driving force for Indonesia's green economy, but it requires digital ethics audit policies and the adoption of low-carbon technologies to address ethical and environmental risks in the AI era.

Digital Down Conversion (DDC) is a fundamental process in software defined radio (SDR) and digital communications, which transforms intermediate frequency (IF) signals into baseband signals. In conventional DDC designs, multipliers and look-up tables are generally employed, both of which tend to increase hardware size and power consumption. In this paper we present a Dual-Mode CORDIC-Based DDC architecture which uses the CORDIC (Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer) algorithm to eliminate multipliers. This novel architecture combines a CORDIC-based Numerically Controlled Oscillator (NCO), a CORDIC mixer, and a Cascaded Integrator-Comb (CIC) filter with a finite impulse response (FIR) com pentation filter. The NCO provides two precision modes - an 8-stage low-latency mode for speed and a 16-stage high precision mode for accuracy, giving runtime reconfigurability according to design requirements. Simulations and analysis show that the design gives highly accurate frequency translation, is efficient in hardware utilization and fully eliminates the use of digital signal processing (DSP) blocks. Overall, the architecture proposed offers a low-power, low-cost, and recon figural solution ideal for modern SDR-based applications and flexible digital signal processing systems.

This research examines the use of blockchain technology to support energy sustainability in urban areas. Blockchain offers transparency, security, and efficiency in recording and distributing energy data, potentially optimizing renewable energy use and reducing carbon emissions. The research method involves literature analysis and simulations of blockchain applications in urban energy systems. The results show that blockchain implementation can increase energy distribution efficiency by up to 20%, reduce data reporting time by up to 99%, and reduce carbon emissions by 50%. In conclusion, blockchain technology can be a strategic innovation in supporting the transition to a sustainable and environmentally friendly energy system.

The oil and gas industry plays a crucial role in meeting global energy needs, with crude oil from production wells being the primary product of upstream operations. Prior to further processing, crude oil requires pretreatment at the production site, one of the key stages being phase separation using a flash separator. This study examines the effect of variations in cooling temperature on the performance of liquid phase separation and energy requirements in the flash separation process of light hydrocarbons. The analysis was conducted through process simulation using Aspen HYSYS version 14.2 with the Peng Robinson property package. The feed stream had a mass rate of 10,000 kg per hour, a temperature of 50°F, and atmospheric pressure, with compositions of ethane, propane, isobutane, and normal butane. The process configuration included compression, cooling, and phase separation in a flash separator at a constant pressure of 50 psia. Variations in cooling temperature were applied at 20, 10, and 0°C. The simulation results indicated a thermodynamic critical point at 10°C. At 20°C, no liquid phase was formed, while at 10°C, significant liquid yield was obtained with moderate energy consumption. Lowering the temperature to 0°C dramatically increases liquid recovery, but the cooling energy requirement also increases sharply. Sensitivity analysis confirms a strong inverse relationship between temperature and condensation yield, as well as a surge in energy consumption at low temperatures. The optimal operating condition is set at 10°C, providing a balance between separation efficiency and energy efficiency in accordance with sustainable manufacturing principles.

In recent years, with the rapid development of artificial intelligence, many innovative changes have been made in the field of intelligent mobile robot development. In the field of control and navigation of mobile robots, learning-based methods have many advantages over traditional ones. The study of mobile robot control methods using deep reinforcement learning is a remarkable area in the development of mobile robots that must operate in dynamic environments. In the previous studies, the proposed robot control algorithms using deep reinforcement learning are mostly based on the given target point and obstacle information, the robot path planning is performed, and the corresponding control is based on the obtained path. The DDPG-based method is a typical example. However, in dynamic environments, DRL based robot path planning requires a state of target point and obstacles information, which leads to a large amount of computation, resulting in extremely long convergence time and even non-convergent cases. In this paper, we propose a new method for mobile robot control in dynamic environment that solves the dimensional problem by extracting the features of the configuration of obstacles using autoencoder and learning the DDPG algorithm based on the obtained features. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively solve the mobile robot control problem in dynamic environment.

Community preparedness for disasters and emergencies is an essential component in reducing morbidity and mortality. This community service program aimed to empower the community in emergency response through optimizing the role of tourism actors based on Tourism Health Nursing in Versel Village, Pasean District. The methods implemented included socialization, risk screening, the establishment of health cadres, the development of an emergency response handbook, creation of health education media, as well as training and simulation activities. The training covered topics such as recognizing emergency conditions, management of cardiac arrest and respiratory failure, choking, first aid (P3K), utilization of household materials in emergency response, management of febrile seizures, and stress management. The results showed a significant improvement in cadres’ understanding, where prior to education, training, and simulation, most participants (60%) had low comprehension, while after the intervention, almost all (90%) demonstrated good understanding. These findings indicate that the program successfully enhanced the capacity and preparedness of the community—particularly health cadres—in managing emergencies and disasters within the tourism-based community environment.

The development of digital technology has driven the  increasing use of e-modules as interactive learning media that support  independent and collaborative learning. The integration of pedagogical approaches and multimedia technology makes e-modules increasingly adaptive and effective in developing higher-order thinking skills. This study aims to map trends in the development and utilization of e-modules through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR)  of Scopus articles published in 2020–2024. From the selection process, 20 articles were analyzed based on their pedagogical approach, as well as the media and digital platforms used. The study results show that pedagogical approaches such as Problem-Based Learning, STEM, SETS, Discovery Learning, and Guided Inquiry have been consistently proven to improve critical thinking skills, learning outcomes, and 21st-century competencies. From a technological perspective, Android and flipbook platforms are the primary choices due to their flexible access and multimedia support such as video, animation, simulations, and interactive quizzes. These findings emphasize the importance of developing systematic, pedagogically-based e-modules supported by interactive multimedia.  Further research is needed to explore the integration of AR/VR, gamification, and artificial intelligence.

The low understanding of nutritious food choices among elementary school children remains a problem because it impacts their health, learning abilities, and future eating habits. A similar situation was found at SDN 3 Picungremuk, where students often choose flavored foods without considering their nutritional content. This community service activity aims to improve students' nutritional knowledge through education on the concept of "Isi Piringku" (My Plate). The implementation stages include identifying needs through observation and discussions with teachers, developing materials tailored to children's development, conducting interactive socialization, and practicing how to assemble a balanced meal plate using visual media. Evaluation was carried out through pre- and post-tests accompanied by food selection simulations. The output showed a significant increase in understanding. Before the education, most students were unable to combine foods correctly. After the activity, all participants were able to assemble a meal plate according to the principles of balanced nutrition. These findings prove that the use of visual media and hands-on practice is an effective method for instilling healthy eating habits in elementary school children.

Minang Rua Beach in South Lampung possesses significant tourism potential that has not been optimally utilized, primarily due to the lack of creative promotional events and limited community skills in event management. This community service aimed to enhance the capacity of the local Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) and youth in designing, managing, and promoting tourism events effectively. The method employed was a participatory training approach that included lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice covering creative event design, logistics management, budgeting (RAB), and digital promotion strategies. The training activities were met with high enthusiasm and active participation from the community members. The participants gained new, practical knowledge and skills in event planning and promotion, as demonstrated by their active engagement during interactive sessions and simulations. The improved capacity of the local community is expected to foster the independent and sustainable organization of creative events, thereby enhancing the destination's attractiveness and increasing tourist visits. The disparity in the quality of rehabilitation services across regional work units presents a significant challenge to effective public management. This study aims to bridge the gap between problem diagnosis and policy prediction by proposing a hybrid, data-driven approach. We integrate K-Means Clustering to map the current state of service quality and Stochastic Simulation to predict the impact of strategic interventions. Using the 2024 Public Satisfaction Index (IKM) dataset from the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), the K-Means algorithm initially identified 26 work units (15.7%) in the "Red Zone" (critical performance), highlighting urgent areas for improvement. Next, a stochastic simulation modeling a "Directed Priority Intervention" scenario was run. The results predicted a significant structural shift in the distribution of service quality, characterized by an 80.8% decrease in critical units (down to 5 units) and a 71.8% increase in excellent performing units (up to 67 units). These findings validate that the integration of clustering and simulation provides a comprehensive framework for evidence-based decision-making, enabling policymakers to optimize resource allocation and efficiently accelerate national service standardization.

The implementation of the Independent Community Service Program (KKN) of the University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra in 2025 was placed at SD Negeri 102028 Sei Parit, located in Sei Rampah District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. This activity aims to instill the habit of saving from an early age in elementary school students as an effort to improve Islamic financial literacy in order to form a character of thrift, responsibility, and financial intelligence. The method used is an interactive learning approach through educational stories, games, learning videos, and mini banking simulations. The results of the activity show that students have a better understanding of the importance of saving, managing pocket money, are able to explain the benefits of saving in their own words, and are encouraged to start saving habits, both at home and at school. Early savings education has proven effective in fostering awareness of wise and future-oriented money management and is expected to become an applicable model for Islamic financial literacy learning at the elementary school level.

The implications of progressivism in learning serve as an essential foundation for building an educational process that fosters active, creative, adaptive, and innovative students in accordance with 21st-century competency demands. The progressive approach positions students at the center of the learning process through direct experience, deep exploration, collaboration, dialogue, experimentation, and problem-solving relevant to real-life contexts, ensuring that learning is not only focused on content mastery but also on the development of potential, character, independence, and higher-order thinking skills. This study employs a literature review method by examining primary and secondary sources on the principles of progressivism, active learning strategies, and their relation to the Merdeka Curriculum as a foundation for national educational transformation. The findings indicate that progressivism plays a significant role in shaping critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, digital literacy, and initiative through the implementation of learning by doing, project-based learning, simulations, scientific experiments, reflective discussions, and technology integration that strengthens learner autonomy. This experience-based approach effectively supports students in constructing knowledge independently while enhancing confidence, responsibility, social awareness, and cooperative skills. However, its implementation still faces challenges such as passive learning culture, limited teacher competence in active methods, insufficient facilities, overloaded curriculum, psychosocial barriers, academic anxiety, and students’ low confidence in expressing opinions. These findings affirm that progressivism is highly relevant to educational reform in Indonesia; therefore, improving teacher competence, strengthening facilities, reinforcing policies, providing continuous support, and creating safe, democratic, inclusive, and supportive learning environments are essential to help students develop optimally as independent, creative, and innovative learners.

This study aims to simulate the M/M/1 queueing system using Python through a Modeling and Simulation approach supported by the Discrete-Event Simulation (DES) method. The objective of the research is to analyze key performance indicators of queueing behavior, including arrival time, service time, waiting time, queue length, and server utilization. The methodology employs DES, which models system behavior based on discrete events such as customer arrivals, service initiation, and service completion. The simulation generates stochastic arrival and service times using Poisson and exponential distributions, respectively. The results indicate that the DES-based M/M/1 simulation accurately reflects theoretical queueing behavior, showing increases in waiting times and queue lengths when arrival rates approach service rates, while server utilization corresponds to system load intensity. The findings demonstrate that DES is an effective approach for analyzing queue performance and can be extended to more complex models such as multi-server systems, priority queues, and predictive simulations using artificial intelligence.
