This study analyzes the impact of international tourist arrivals and their spending on the occupancy rate of star-rated hotels in Indonesia from 2009 to 2023. Using a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression, the study examines the relationship between two independent variables nternational tourist arrivals and average tourist spending and the dependent variable, which is the occupancy rate of star-rated hotels. Data for this research were sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Ministry of Tourism, and Bank Indonesia. The analysis results show that the number of international tourist arrivals does not significantly affect the occupancy rate of star-rated hotels. However, average tourist spending has a significant negative effect, indicating that tourists with higher spending tend to choose higher-star hotels. The simultaneous F test reveals that both variables jointly have a significant effect on hotel occupancy rates. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 45.52% indicates that both independent variables can explain the variation in the occupancy rate of star-rated hotels. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the government and tourism industry stakeholders focus on promoting destinations that attract high-spending tourists and improving the quality of star-rated hotel accommodations to meet the preferences of international tourists.

Tourism is one of the key sectors in driving regional economic growth. The potential of tourism attractions contributes to local community income and Regional Original Revenue (PAD) through tourism development. Central Tapanuli Regency has significant tourism potential that can be optimally managed to enhance PAD.This study aims to examine the extent to which the tourism sector contributes to increasing PAD and boosting the local economy in Central Tapanuli Regency. The research employs a quantitative approach using OLS regression analysis based on secondary data collected from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Central Tapanuli Regency from 2014 to 2023.The findings indicate a positive relationship between tourist visits, both domestic and international, and PAD. However, hotel occupancy rates show a negative correlation with PAD. Interestingly, this study highlights that hotel occupancy rates have a negative relationship with PAD. This finding suggests that the government needs to pay attention to factors affecting hotel occupancy rates, such as changing tourism trends and management leakage. The implementation of this research emphasizes the need for policy evaluation and enhanced supervision of hotel occupancy rates.

One critical component in the rapidly expanding halal tourism industry is the existence of hotels catering to the needs of Muslim travelers, known as Sharia-compliant hotels. Operating within the framework of Islamic law, these hotels bear the responsibility of managing funds in accordance with Sharia principles. The management of non-halal funds within such establishments presents a complex challenge that necessitates careful consideration to ensure compliance with Islamic values while addressing financial and social aspects. This study aims to provide insights into strategies for managing non-halal funds in Sharia-compliant hotels within the framework of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and from the perspective of Islamic economic law. Using a qualitative research approach with descriptive analysis through a literature review, the findings indicate that the legal status of non-halal funds may be permissible if allocated for general public welfare. Recommended management strategies include adherence to the PSAK 101 accounting standard and the application of Tafriq Shafqah principles through CSR initiatives. Non-halal funds are optimally distributed for social welfare (maslahah wa tashrif al-‘ammah) such as empowering local communities through education and training, supporting zakat and charity programs, promoting sustainable environmental management, ensuring fair employment opportunities, fostering local economic development, and enhancing public education and awareness. These efforts not only enhance the positive reputation of Sharia-compliant hotels but also contribute significantly to the economic, environmental, and social well-being of the broader community.

Along with the development of the times, we see many hotels experiencing changes. A change that is rarely reviewed as a news topic is the software overhaul that occurs in hotels from offline to online systems. Lay people only see changes in hotels from a visible perspective, without having to know whether the hotel's system and system applications have changed. One of the factors in system development at Hotel Cipta is the need for hotel management to prioritize the development of system applications from offline to online systems, even web-based. It is not easy to overhaul an existing system application compared to creating a new system application. There are several software engineering methods and models that are commonly used to analyze system needs and design systems in the software development process. One of them is the incremental delivery model. This makes it interesting to try to apply the incremental delivery model to the development of the Hotel Cipta information system application by taking place at the Hotel Cipta on KH. Wachid Hasyim Street, Central Jakarta. In this study, the object of research is the Front Office department.

This study examines the relationship between Green Human Resource Management (Green HRM), Pro-Environmental Behavior (PEB), and Employee Performance in the hospitality industry. Using data collected from 265 employees across 12 star-rated hotels in Semarang that have implemented green hotel practices, this research employs Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings reveal that Green HRM positively influences both PEB (β = 0.627) and Employee Performance (β = 0.341). Furthermore, PEB positively affects Employee Performance (β = 0.396) and partially mediates the relationship between Green HRM and Employee Performance. Demographic factors, including age, education level, and tenure, moderate several relationship paths, suggest the importance of a differentiated approach in Green HRM implementation. Among Green HRM dimensions, Training and Development and Employee Involvement have the strongest effect on PEB, while Performance Management and Reward Systems most directly influence Employee Performance. These results provide empirical evidence that integrating environmental sustainability into HR practices benefits not only environmental outcomes but also enhances employee performance, creating a win-win situation for hotels in their pursuit of competitive advantage while meeting environmental responsibilities.

However, there are some weaknesses, such as the design of pamphlets and brochures that are not updated, customer dependence on discounts, limited reach of sales calls, and lack of collaboration with the media and website development. Threats from competitors, negative public perception, and strategic mistakes also need to be well anticipated. By maximizing strengths and opportunities and overcoming weaknesses and threats, Hotel Syamsiah can optimize promotional strategies to achieve better results.
