A 23-month-old female patient presented with red, itchy bumps, accompanied by intense itching, which caused the skin to peel from scratching. These symptoms began less than a month before the visit and worsened one week before seeking treatment. The fluid-filled bumps burst due to scratching, causing sores and peeling skin. The itching was constant and tended to worsen at night. The use of moisturizer by the patient's mother provided little relief. The onset of these symptoms coincided with a visit from the patient's mother's younger brother, a student at the Islamic boarding school (Santri), who was staying at the patient's home during the holidays. Less than a month later, similar symptoms began to be felt by the patient, her siblings, and both parents. The diagnosis was based on primary data obtained through a history taking with the patient's mother, a direct physical examination during a home visit, and completion of the family file and the patient's medical records. The patient, suspected of having scabies, was treated with 5% permethrin cream, applied as directed, and cetirizine to reduce the itching. Case assessments are conducted holistically, assessing the initial condition, process, and final outcome of each visit both quantitatively and qualitatively. Interventions include not only treatment but also comprehensive family education. This education includes an explanation of the etiology and transmission of scabies, the importance of maintaining personal and environmental hygiene, and potential complications such as secondary skin infections due to scratching. The goal of this education is to improve patient and family compliance with therapy, prevent reinfection, and break the chain of disease transmission in the home environment. This approach is expected to not only reassure the patient but also raise family awareness of the importance of clean and healthy living practices as a long-term preventative measure.

To improve public health, especially for elementary school-aged children, one of the most important prevention methods is Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS). The purpose of this study was to improve the understanding and utilization of PHBS among students at Bayak Public Elementary School in Siremen Village, Tanara District through counseling and live demonstrations. This activity was carried out by the KKM Group 95 team from Bina Bangsa University for 83 second- and fourth-grade students at Bayak Public Elementary School. The method used was a participatory educational approach, namely by providing counseling related to PHBS and continued with live demonstrations of handwashing, tooth brushing, and maintaining personal hygiene. The material was delivered interactively to make it easier for children to understand, including the use of visual media such as posters and pictures. The students were also given direct practice tools such as soap, toothbrushes, and toothpaste so they could directly practice proper hygiene practices. The results of the activity showed that students had a better understanding of PHBS and made positive changes in their daily lives at school. It appeared that students were better trained in maintaining personal and environmental hygiene. They also began to get used to washing their hands before eating, maintaining dental hygiene, and disposing of trash properly. Teachers and homeroom teachers also actively supported this initiative by participating in outreach activities and monitoring changes in student behavior. This initiative not only raised students' awareness of the importance of health but also encouraged active school participation in creating a healthy learning environment. It is hoped that this initiative will serve as a reference for schools in teaching students how to live a healthy and clean lifestyle in a sustainable manner.

Christian leadership can be understood as leadership rooted in the truth of God’s Word and exemplified through the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. In the Gospel narratives, Jesus consistently displayed leadership qualities that were grounded in service, sacrifice, humility, and the nurturing of His disciples. However, in today’s context, many church environments face a crisis of leadership characterized by corruption, arrogance, lack of integrity, and resistance to constructive criticism, all of which deviate from the biblical image of Christ as the Good Shepherd. This study aims to explore the biblical foundation of Jesus Christ’s leadership, focusing on both its character and technical dimensions as reflected in the Gospel of John, and to examine its implementation in the local ministry setting of GPdI Bethesda Kabanjahe. The research employs a qualitative method with two primary dimensions: a theological-biblical approach and a case study approach. The findings reveal that, first, the pastoral leadership model in the Gospel of John presents Jesus as the Good Shepherd who builds intimate relationships, willingly sacrifices, and develops the character of His followers. While these values are normatively acknowledged by church ministers, their implementation in GPdI Bethesda remains partial, fragmented, and not yet systematically embedded into the overall ministry structure. Second, theological reflection and practical implications highlight the urgent need for renewal that encompasses both organizational systems and the personal spiritual formation of leaders. Recommendations emerging from this study include leadership training grounded in Christlike character, developing an organizational structure that ensures regeneration, cultivating a healthy spiritual community, and contextually internalizing Gospel values into ministry practices. Strengthening these areas is essential for building authentic, sustainable, and Christ-centered leadership that responds to contemporary challenges and restores the church’s witness to the surrounding community.

The exploitation of natural resources through mining projects in Indonesia often has an impact on the lives of residents, both socially, economically, and environmentally. Although the government has established various regulations to protect the rights of affected communities, the implementation of this legal protection still faces various challenges. In this context, this research aims to analyze legal protection for residents in mining projects in Indonesia and examine the effectiveness of regulations that have been implemented. This research uses a normative juridical method using both a statutory and a conceptual approach. The former involves examining multiple legal provisions that govern mining and community protection, including Law Number 4 of 2009 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining, Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management, and various derivative regulations. The latter involves investigating legal theories that are pertinent to the defense of residents' rights, including the notion of sustainable development, the right to a healthy environment, and the rights of indigenous peoples to land and natural resources. This research does not involve case studies or interviews, but focuses on a normative study of the applicable legal system. Through an analysis of national and international legal instruments, this research is expected to provide academic contributions in identifying weaknesses in existing regulations and providing recommendations for policy makers in improving legal protection for residents affected by mining projects. Thus, this research can be a basis for strengthening more effective legal protection in maintaining a balance between the exploitation of natural resources and the rights of local communities.

This study explores the critical role of law in preventing and addressing crimes within the trade sector, focusing on specific economic crimes such as corruption, embezzlement, market manipulation, and smuggling. These crimes are on the rise, primarily driven by social and economic inequality. Unequal wealth distribution, weak regulatory oversight, and legal loopholes create opportunities for individuals and groups to pursue illicit financial gains. Powerful economic entities often exploit these weaknesses to maintain monopolistic control, deepening inequality and obstructing fair competition. Moreover, inadequate law enforcement and a lack of transparency within bureaucratic systems contribute to the widespread practices of bribery and collusion between business actors and government officials. This undermines the effectiveness of existing regulations and diminishes public confidence in the legal framework. The consequences of such economic crimes extend beyond financial losses; they significantly affect the broader society. These include rising poverty and unemployment, the deterioration of public trust in legal institutions, and increased social instability, all of which threaten sustainable economic development. To address these challenges, this study applies criminological and legal perspectives, underlining the necessity of multisectoral collaboration. It advocates for stronger government and legal institutional efforts, along with active community engagement, to enhance oversight mechanisms and promote transparency. Firm and equitable enforcement of laws is essential in ensuring justice and restoring trust. Ultimately, a collective commitment to legal reform and accountability is vital to building a trade environment that is fair, inclusive, and conducive to long-term national growth.

This study was conducted at Bio Live Healthy Home, located in Sei Bamban District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The primary objective of this research is to determine how lifestyle, reference groups, and consumer attitudes influence the decision to use services offered by the institution. In a rapidly growing health and wellness industry, understanding consumer behavior is essential to improve service quality and increase customer engagement. To achieve the research objectives, the study employed a survey method with a quantitative approach. The target population consisted of service users, and a sample of 92 respondents was selected. Data collection was carried out through a combination of observation, interviews, documentation, and the distribution of structured questionnaires. The questionnaire was designed to capture variables related to lifestyle, reference groups, attitudes, and service usage decisions. Before conducting the main analysis, the data were tested for validity and reliability to ensure that the instrument accurately measured what it intended to measure. Furthermore, classical assumption tests, including normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests, were conducted to confirm the feasibility of using a multiple linear regression model. The analysis was performed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software. The results of the study revealed that lifestyle, reference groups, and attitudes each had a significant and positive influence on the decision to use services at Bio Live Healthy Home. This indicates that individuals with health-conscious lifestyles, influenced by their social environment and holding positive attitudes toward wellness services, are more likely to engage with the services offered. Moreover, these three factors collectively contributed to a meaningful explanation of the variation in consumer decisions. In conclusion, the findings highlight the importance for service providers to consider psychological and social factors when designing marketing strategies.

The application of proper cough etiquette is an essential part of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) and serves as a preventive measure in reducing the transmission of respiratory infectious diseases from an early age. Health education for young children is crucial, as this stage represents the formative period where foundational habits are developed, potentially influencing long-term individual and environmental health. This community service activity was conducted on May 9, 2025, at Stella Maris Kindergarten in Tangerang City, involving 29 Nursery group children. The main objective of the program was to enhance the knowledge and skills of early childhood students in practicing correct cough etiquette and to instill healthy behaviors that they can apply in their daily lives at home and school. The implementation of the activity followed the POAC approach (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling) in a structured manner. Activities included storytelling (using engaging illustrations), screening of age-appropriate educational videos, practical simulations of cough etiquette, and fun, interactive games. These methods were designed to encourage active participation and ensure that children could understand and retain the health messages through enjoyable learning experiences. The results showed a notable improvement in the children's understanding and active involvement in practicing healthy coughing techniques, such as covering their mouths with a tissue or the inside of their elbows when coughing. Visual education combined with hands-on practice proved to be highly effective in conveying health messages to young children. The teachers responded positively to the program, emphasizing that the approach used was appropriate and should be widely implemented in other early childhood education institutions. They recognized it as a valuable promotive effort and a long-term health investment for children, laying the groundwork for healthier habits and environments in the future.

The nutritional status of elementary school children serves as a vital indicator of their overall growth, development, and future health outcomes. Poor nutritional status, whether in the form of undernutrition or overweight, can lead to a range of health and academic performance issues. This study aimed to assess the nutritional status of Grade 4A students at SD 064981 Cempaka Raya using anthropometric measurements and to examine the association between snacking habits and nutritional categories. A descriptive quantitative research design was employed, utilizing a total sampling approach involving all 20 students in the class. Data collection consisted of direct height and weight measurements conducted according to standardized procedures. The data were then analyzed using the WHO Anthro Plus software to classify nutritional status into undernourished, normal, overweight, and obese categories. Additionally, information on students’ snacking habits during school hours was obtained through structured questionnaires. The results indicated that 25% of students were undernourished, 50% had normal nutritional status, 20% were overweight, and 5% were obese. Bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test demonstrated a statistically significant relationship (p < 0.001) between snacking behavior and nutritional status. Specifically, all students who reported frequent consumption of snacks at school were classified as overweight or obese, whereas those who did not engage in frequent snacking predominantly fell within the undernourished or normal categories. These findings highlight the potential role of unhealthy snacking patterns in contributing to excessive weight gain among school-age children. Based on the results, it is recommended that nutrition education programs be implemented for both students and parents, coupled with stricter regulations on the availability and sale of high-calorie snack foods within the school environment. Such measures may serve as preventive strategies to promote healthy growth, maintain optimal nutritional status, and reduce the risk of non-communicable diseases later in life.

Providing education on how to wash hands properly is an important effort to increase awareness of clean and healthy living, especially for young children. Children at this age are in a very rapid developmental stage, so the information and habits taught are more easily absorbed and formed into daily behavior. However, children's awareness and understanding of the importance of hygiene, especially handwashing, is still relatively low. Therefore, health education is essential to instill good habits from an early age. Washing hands with soap is one of the Clean and Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors (PHBS) that is effective in preventing the spread of various types of diseases, especially diseases transmitted through hands, such as diarrhea, ARI, and skin infections. PHBS about handwashing must be a habit applied in daily life, both in the family, school, and community environment. This educational activity was carried out at St. Francis Xaverius Pineleng Catholic Kindergarten with the aim of increasing knowledge and forming handwashing behavior according to the six recommended handwashing steps. The implementation method included providing educational materials, showing a video song that teaches the six steps of handwashing, demonstrations by the implementer, and direct practice by the children with movements and songs. The results of the activity showed an increase in children's knowledge and skills in washing their hands properly. The children demonstrated enthusiasm and active participation during the educational process. It is hoped that teachers and parents will continue to encourage children to practice hand hygiene to prevent illness and foster healthy lifestyles from an early age.

The use of social media has become an inseparable part of daily life for Indonesian teenagers. Platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp are widely used for communication, self-expression, entertainment, and information. However, behind these benefits lie significant negative impacts, particularly the rise of juvenile delinquency and digital violence. Phenomena such as cyberbullying, the spread of negative content, hoaxes, hate speech, and online exploitation are increasingly prevalent. Data from GoodStats and the 2024 National Survey on the Life Experiences of Children and Adolescents (SNPHAR) reveal high rates of violence experienced and perpetrated by teenagers in digital spaces. Furthermore, reports from the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) show a yearly increase in cases of juvenile misbehavior linked to social media usage. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach using secondary data from KPAI, GoodStats, and SNPHAR. The objective is to identify various forms of juvenile delinquency triggered by social media use and to explore both existing and potential strategies for prevention. The analysis indicates that low levels of digital literacy among teenagers, weak parental supervision, and the influence of social media algorithms that often amplify extreme content are major contributing factors to deviant behavior. This research emphasizes the importance of collaborative efforts among families, schools, the government, and digital platforms to create a safe and healthy digital environment for teenagers. Comprehensive digital literacy education, character development, stronger child protection regulations on the internet, and increased parental involvement are key strategies that need to be strengthened. Through an integrated approach, it is hoped that the risks of delinquency and digital violence can be minimized, enabling Indonesian youth to grow into a generation that is intelligent, critical, and responsible in their use of social media.

This study aims to identify and compare the prevalence of eating disorders and body image disturbances among female athletes and non-athlete members of fitness clubs. Given the rising societal emphasis on physical appearance and performance, young women are increasingly exposed to unrealistic body ideals, potentially increasing the risk of psychological issues such as body dissatisfaction and disordered eating behaviors. The research employed a descriptive quantitative design involving 100 women aged 18–25 years, consisting of 50 athletes actively participating in competitive sports and 50 non-athletes who regularly attend fitness clubs for general health purposes. Data were collected using two standardized instruments: the Body Image Concern Inventory (BICI) to assess levels of body image disturbance, and the SCOFF questionnaire to screen for symptoms of eating disorders. Results indicated that 34% of female athletes reported high levels of body image disturbance, compared to only 2% of non-athletes. Additionally, symptoms of eating disorders were present in 54% of athletes, while 14% of non-athletes showed similar tendencies. Statistical analyses using Mann-Whitney U and independent samples t-tests confirmed a significant difference between the two groups (p < 0.05), suggesting that athletes may be at a higher risk for developing these psychological issues. These findings underscore the psychological pressures faced by female athletes, who are often required to maintain specific body standards to meet performance expectations. The study highlights the urgent need for preventive measures, including psychological support services and educational interventions that promote healthy body image and eating habits. Implementing such programs in both sports and general fitness environments can help reduce the prevalence of these disorders and foster a healthier relationship with body image among young women.

This study aims to examine one of the disciplines of Islamic law, namely the pricing mechanism from the perspective of Imam Al-Ghazali, in order to create a healthy market environment free from monopolistic practices and manipulation, and aligned with Sharia principles. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a literature study method by reviewing various relevant books, classical texts, articles, and academic journals related to Islamic economics and Imam Al-Ghazali’s thought. The findings indicate that the concept of fair pricing is not solely dependent on the interaction between supply and demand, but must also consider moral and social dimensions, such as justice, honesty, and public welfare. Imam Al-Ghazali strongly emphasized that economic transactions should uphold ethical standards and social responsibility to prevent exploitation and inequality. He argued that pricing must reflect not only market dynamics but also the broader ethical framework rooted in Islamic values. Furthermore, the study explores the concept of economic equilibrium in relation to pricing mechanisms, where prices should ideally balance individual interests with communal welfare. The research also discusses the correlation between economic balance and price-setting policies, including the views of other classical and contemporary Islamic scholars. It is found that state intervention is permissible in certain conditions—particularly when market mechanisms fail to ensure fairness—thus justifying government roles in market supervision and price stabilization. One of the key concepts in Islamic economics is the notion of a just price (al-thaman al-‘adl), as emphasized by Imam Al-Ghazali.. This study concludes that understanding pricing from Al-Ghazali’s perspective offers valuable insights for building ethical and socially responsible economic systems aligned with Islamic teachings.

Cultural diversity demands communication skills that extend beyond verbal communication and encompass an understanding of cross-cultural values, emotions, and identities. This article examines cultural communication in a pluralistic society through a psychological approach, focusing on perception, stereotypes, empathy, and cognitive openness. Cultural perception shapes how individuals interpret social reality, but often results in stereotypes that simplify the characteristics of a group, which can hinder healthy communication. On the other hand, empathy—both affective and cognitive—plays a crucial role in building emotional understanding and perspectives toward people from different cultural backgrounds. Cognitive openness strengthens the ability to accept differences, avoid quick judgments, and increase awareness of social complexity. This combination of empathy and openness is the primary foundation for building effective and inclusive intercultural communication competencies. This article emphasizes that these competencies can be developed through education, cross-cultural experiences, and psychosocial training. In the era of globalization and digitalization, cross-cultural understanding is crucial for creating a harmonious environment in educational settings, organizations, and communities. Therefore, building empathetic, open, and stereotype-free communication is key to successful interactions in a multicultural society.
