The phenomenon of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) has become increasingly prominent among Generation Z due to the high intensity of social media use. Social media serves not only as a communication tool but also as a space for identity construction and the pursuit of social validation. Exposure to influencer content portraying ideal lifestyles, social achievements, and trending activities encourages individuals to remain constantly connected in order to avoid feeling left behind in digital communities. This study aims to analyze the influence of social media influencer content on the level of FOMO among Generation Z. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using a literature review method by examining relevant national and international academic journals published within the last five years. Data were analyzed by identifying patterns linking influencer content exposure, psychological mechanisms of FOMO, and its impact on Generation Z’s behavior and psychological well-being. The findings indicate that influencer content significantly contributes to social comparison processes and increases the need for digital validation, such as likes and comments, which are perceived as indicators of social acceptance. This condition strengthens FOMO tendencies and leads to excessive digital engagement, consumptive behavior, and psychological pressure. The discussion highlights that social media algorithms further intensify this cycle by repeatedly promoting popular and viral content. In conclusion, influencer content plays a crucial role in intensifying FOMO among Generation Z, emphasizing the importance of digital literacy and critical awareness to mitigate its negative effects.

This research aimed to revitalize Mosau' Dance, a nearly extinct traditional dance from Bolaang Mongondow, through the creation of a new work entitled Sinungkudan Dance. Mosau' Dance is a celebratory dance of post-war warriors whose existence is currently fading in the Bolaang Mongondow region due to a lack of regeneration and the influence of modernization. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a focus on choreographic analysis. The revitalization process was carried out through four stages: exploration, reconstruction, reinterpretation, and reactualization. The results indicate that revitalization through the creation of Sinungkudan Dance successfully provided a "new breath" for the local tradition of Bolaang Mongondow. Choreographically. Sinungkudan Dance consisted of eight movement variations, combining three original Mosau' movement motifs (such as joyful leaps) with five newly created movements that depicted narratives of warrior life (Bogani), ranging from weapon sharpening and physical training to the atmosphere of warfare. The choreographic structure was supported by nine symbolic floor patterns, the use of the tungkudon (spear) as a prop, and digital musical accompaniment that blended traditional rhythms with modern instruments such as the flute and snare drum. In conclusion, through more visually and kinetically attractive innovations, the values of leadership and resilience embodied in Mosau' Dance were able to be transmitted to younger generations as a proud cultural identity for the people of Bolaang Mongondow.

The phenomenon of the “Sandwich Generation” (SG) in Indonesia, where individuals of productive age (30-40 years old) bear a double financial burden—supporting the needs of their children and immediate family (furu') while also supporting their elderly parents (ushul)—has become a widespread social and financial challenge. This pressure, exacerbated by inadequate income and low financial literacy, forces 94% of SG respondents to set aside their personal interests. This dilemma calls for a clear Sharia analysis of the priority scale of financial support. This article aims to analyze the SG maintenance dilemma through the Qawa'id Fiqhiyyah (Fiqh Principles) framework to establish a hierarchy of financial obligations. The two main principles used are Al-Farḍu afḍalu mina an-Nafli (Absolute Obligation takes precedence over Sunnah) and Al-Wājib lā yutrak illā liwājibin (An Obligation cannot be abandoned except for another Obligation). Fiqh analysis shows that the resolution of priority conflicts is based on the classification of the legal status of the recipient of alms, distinguishing between absolute obligations (Adami rights, contractual) and conditional obligations (wajib zhanni, Allah's rights). Key findings establish Sharia priorities in conditions of limitation: Self, Wife and Children (Absolute Obligations), Parents (Conditional Obligations), Siblings/Relatives (Sunnah/Nafl). This priority is established to protect the nuclear family unit as the foundation of society, in line with Maqāṣid ash-Sharīʿah (Sharia Objectives).

This study analyzes the implementation of cultural preservation policies in Lebak Regency in the context of the Seren Taun tradition as part of efforts to maintain local wisdom and sustainable development. The approach used is qualitative with a case study method, through interviews, observations, and documentation studies of local governments, traditional leaders, and the Kasepuhan Citorek community. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the implementation of cultural preservation policies in Lebak has been regulated through Regent Regulation Number 435 of 2022 concerning Regional Cultural Promotion, which emphasizes the importance of indigenous peoples' participation. The implementation of this policy is analyzed using Edwards III's theory, which includes communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The Seren Taun tradition has proven to play an important role in strengthening cultural identity, fostering social solidarity, maintaining food security, and teaching ecological awareness. However, challenges such as budget constraints, low cultural documentation, and shifting values of the younger generation remain major obstacles. This research emphasizes that synergy between the government, customary institutions, and communities is the key to the success of sustainable and inclusive cultural preservation in Lebak Regency.

This study aims to explore Generation Z's adaptation to traditional values, particularly the Balinese language sor singgih in Catur Wangsa, amid social changes driven by globalization and technological advancements, from the perspective of interpersonal communication. The phenomenological approach in qualitative research is the research method used, with three data collection techniques: participant observation, unstructured interviews, and documentation. This study also uses source and technique triangulation as a data validity technique. The research informants are members of Generation Z from the five castes in Bali: Brahmana, Ksatria, Weisya, and Sudra. Research conducted across eight districts and cities in Bali indicates that Generation Z is beginning to shift its interpersonal communication patterns. Although they still uphold traditional values of politeness and social norms, Generation Z emphasizes equality and openness in their daily interactions. The generation Z that continues to use the Balinese language is segmented by social context, emotional closeness, and communication situations, rather than solely by caste differences. Furthermore, this study's findings show that the caste system is seen more as a cultural identity than a social boundary. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of preserving the values of Balinese local wisdom in the form of adaptive, egalitarian communication that is relevant to the development of the younger generation in the digital age.

This research aims to understand the representation of cooperation between the older and younger generations and work ethic in the film "The Intern" by Nancy Meyers. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic analysis in the form of a meaning triangle, namely sign, object, and interpretant. Signs are in the form of visuals, dialogue, and symbols. The object is what the sign represents, and the interpretant is the understanding derived from both the sign and the object. In this study, the researcher carried out an analysis by selecting each scene that shows generational differences, the emergence of cooperation, and the work ethic applied in the film The Intern. We collected data through library research, which included relevant books, articles, and scientific writings. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this research show that this film succeeded in presenting generational differences not as obstacles but as a way to work together well and develop. This film demonstrates work ethic values such as hard work, responsibility, honesty, and cooperation. This research concludes that the film The Intern is not only entertaining but also provides many social messages about cooperation and work ethic.

This study aims to examine the effect of microcredit on the level of community welfare in Kecamatan Sumbawa, with study locations in Kelurahan Pekat and Brang Bara. Microcredit is positioned as one of the strategic instruments in efforts to empower the economy of low-income communities, especially through increasing access to financing, income generation, and social welfare. This research uses a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method based on Partial Least Square (PLS). The study population consisted of 100 micro-entrepreneurs in the two villages who had received microcredit from local financial institutions. The variables analyzed include ease of credit access (X1), credit repayment (X2), income (Y), and community welfare (Z) which acts as a mediating variable. The results of the analysis show that easy access to microcredit does not have a significant effect on income or community welfare. In contrast, the variable of microcredit repayment has a positive and significant effect on community welfare. In addition, income also has a positive and significant influence on welfare, indicating that an increase in income is a key factor in determining the economic and social welfare of microcredit recipient households. This finding confirms that the success of the microcredit program is more influenced by the effectiveness of the management and sustainability of the credit repayment system, rather than solely by the ease of access to financing.

The transformation of political communication in the digital era has fundamentally altered the ways political parties and their affiliated wing organizations interact with party cadres and the broader public. In Indonesia, party wing organizations such as Angkatan Muda Pembaharuan Indonesia (AMPI), Angkatan Muda Partai Golkar (AMPG), and other youth wings increasingly rely on social media as the primary medium for political cadre formation. However, this shift has not only created new opportunities for participation but has also generated structural problems, including the dominance of symbolic communication, the personalization of political elites, and the subordination of ideological discourse to the algorithmic logic of digital platforms. This article aims to critically examine how the digital political communication of party wing organizations operates within the context of Indonesia’s representative democracy, the extent to which it constitutes a deliberative public sphere for young cadres, and how such practices affect the quality of political cadre formation. Employing a critical paradigm and a transdisciplinary qualitative approach, the study integrates Habermas’s theory of the public sphere, Aeron Davis’s evaluation of democratic communication, and the concept of the mediatization of politics. The findings indicate that the digital communication of party wings tends to function primarily as an instrument of symbolic consolidation and loyalty mobilization rather than as an arena for dialogical political education. Consequently, digital cadre formation produces representational identities more than critical political consciousness. This article therefore recommends a reorientation of the digital political communication of party wing organizations toward deliberative and emancipatory models in order to strengthen internal party democracy and promote substantive political regeneration.

The advancement of social media platforms, especially TikTok, has drastically changed the behavioral patterns and lifestyles of Generation Z. One psychological impact of intensive social media use is Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), which is the worry of missing out on news, trends, or viral social activities. This study aims to reveal how FoMO affects the lifestyle of Generation Z active on TikTok, focusing on aspects of mental health, shopping habits, and the balance of social interactions. This research uses a literature study approach with a qualitative descriptive method, through in-depth analysis of 21 scientific articles published between 2019 and 2025. The findings show that FoMO is associated with increased anxiety, depression, personal dissatisfaction, and excessive social media use among Generation Z. Furthermore, FoMO also drives impulsive consumption patterns and purchases triggered by online trends as well as the desire for social approval. On the other hand, internal factors such as self-confidence and self-control ability have proven to reduce the level of FoMO and its negative effects. This study concludes that FoMO is a complex phenomenon that impacts the mental health and lifestyle of Generation Z, thus requiring measures such as increasing digital literacy, strengthening self-control, and using social media wisely to reduce the negative impacts of FoMO in the long term.

Mental health among Generation Z university students has become an increasingly important issue amid rising academic demands and the rapid development of digital life. Students today face various academic pressures, including competition for achievement, heavy coursework, and performance targets, which may negatively affect their psychological well-being. In addition, advances in digital technology have reshaped students’ daily lives, particularly through intensified information exposure and social comparison. This study aims to examine the influence of academic competition and digital dynamics on the mental health of Generation Z students using a literature review approach. The research employs a descriptive qualitative literature review method by analyzing 20 relevant scholarly articles published in national and international journals between 2018 and 2024. The findings indicate that academic competition is closely associated with increased levels of stress, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion among students. Prolonged academic pressure without adequate psychological support may lead to a decline in students’ psychological well-being. Furthermore, digital life reinforces psychological pressure through mechanisms of social comparison and self-presentation demands. However, several studies also identify protective factors, such as social support, mental health literacy, and emotional regulation skills, which help students manage academic and digital pressures more adaptively. Therefore, the mental health of Generation Z students is shaped by a complex interaction between academic competition and digital life, highlighting the need for comprehensive efforts from both individuals and educational institutions to promote students’ psychological well-being.

The application of Large Language Models (LLM) in public services encourages government agencies to adopt Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)-based chatbots as interfaces for regulatory knowledge and official documents. Although RAG is designed to increase the supportability of answers to authoritative sources, various studies show that this system is still vulnerable to hallucinations, which have the potential to reduce public trust and pose legal risks. This article presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on the use of RAG in government chatbots with a focus on the definition, mitigation strategies, and evaluation of groundedness. The literature search was conducted in the period 2021–2025 through the SpringerLink, Scopus, and Taylor & Francis databases, resulting in 7,947 articles filtered using the PRISMA framework to obtain 100 articles Q1–Q2. Based on eight research questions, this study maps publication trends, document domains, RAG architecture, retrieval strategies, definitions of groundedness, and evaluation metrics used. The SLR results indicate conceptual fragmentation in the definition and measurement of groundedness, with the dominance of text-similarity-based metrics that are inadequate for regulatory contexts. As a conceptual contribution, this article formulates the Semantic Alignment Score (SAS) as a groundedness metric based on semantic alignment, evidence coverage, and entailment relationships, positioned to support the evaluation and auditing of government document chatbots.

This research investigates the impact of Creative Problem Solving (CPS) within a group counseling framework to mitigate academic-related stress in students. Intense scholastic expectations often compromise a student’s psychological health and academic achievements, making this a critical area of intervention. Employing a quasi-experimental quantitative design, this study utilized a single-group pretest-posttest model. Participants exhibiting elevated stress markers were recruited via purposive sampling. The core intervention involved systematic group sessions centered on diagnostic problem-solving, divergent idea generation, and strategic decision-making. Pre- and post-intervention data were gathered through a standardized assessment scale and processed using parametric statistics. The data revealed a substantial decline in academic stress levels post-treatment. These results underscore the efficacy of CPS-based counseling in fostering cognitive flexibility. Ultimately, this approach provides a robust mechanism for students to develop resilient coping strategies against educational pressures.

The phenomenon of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) has emerged as a significant psychosocial factor influencing the consumption behavior of Generation Z in the social media era. This study aims to explore how FoMO shapes the purchasing decisions of Generation Z using a qualitative approach, focusing on subjective experiences, digital social pressures, and interactions with viral content. A descriptive-interpretative qualitative method was employed, collecting data through in-depth interviews and observations of social media activity among Generation Z respondents actively engaged in digital platforms. Thematic analysis was applied to identify patterns of FoMO experiences and their impact on purchasing decisions. Findings reveal that FoMO arises from the need for social connection, social comparison with peers and influencers, and intensive exposure to digital trends. This phenomenon drives consumptive behaviors, particularly impulsive purchases, influenced by social validation and emotional impulses. Generation Z’s purchasing decisions are contextual, multidimensional, and not entirely rational, yet meaningful within the framework of digital social identity. The study underscores the necessity of a qualitative approach to comprehensively understand the psychological, social, and cultural complexities of FoMO and consumer behavior. The results provide a conceptual foundation for ethical and relevant marketing strategies targeting young consumers in the digital era.

Prosiding Seminar Nasional Ilmu Ekonomi dan Akuntansi 2026 Asosiasi Riset Ekonomi dan Akuntansi Indonesia

This study seeks to investigate the role of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) and financial technology (fintech) in influencing Generation Z's investment decisions through a literature review approach. The rapid advancement of digital technology and the growing use of social media have transformed the financial behavior of young people, such that investment decisions are no longer solely based on rationality but are also shaped by psychological factors. The method used in this study is a literature review, which involves analyzing scientific articles indexed at both national and international levels published between 2021 and 2025. The findings indicate that FOMO can enhance investment participation, yet it also risks prompting impulsive and less rational decision-making. On the other hand, fintech contributes by simplifying access to financial services, improving transaction efficiency, and expanding financial inclusion. Nevertheless, real-time features on fintech platforms may amplify users' emotional responses, thereby magnifying the impact of FOMO. Accordingly, this research underscores the importance of financial literacy and prudent technology use to foster more rational investment decisions among Generation Z.
