Basically, God created His creatures perfectly. On the other hand, it turns out that God also created humans who do not have five senses, or incomplete body functions, such as the blind, deaf, physically disabled, even mentally disabled so that they have limitations in carrying out daily activities and are often considered different from others. A person who has physical or mental limitations due to illness or injury is called a disability. Being a person with a disability not only affects the person themselves, but often their families, especially their parents. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of pastoral care for parents who have children with disabilities. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The population and sample of this study were parents, namely the father and mother of a child with disabilities in Pamalian village, Sorkam sub-district, Central Tapanuli district. In an effort to provide pastoral counseling assistance with a Client Centered approach to parents who have children with disabilities, there are several approaches taken by the companion, namely, listening, reflecting, explaining, and being fully present. From the research results, pastoral counseling with a client-centered approach can help parents who have children with disabilities understand that what happened to their child is not a mistake or punishment due to sin so that parents can accept their child's condition.

This article discusses the challenges and solutions related to mixed marriages according to the Catholic Church in the context of pluralism in Indonesia, a multicultural society with diverse religions. In the modern world, mixed marriages are increasingly common but remain controversial, often posing a dilemma between maintaining religious values and accepting modernity. The Catholic Church views marriage as a holy sacrament that requires a unity of faith between the couple. However, in practice, many Catholics marry non-Catholics, which can lead to struggles in building the foundation of faith in the family, especially the direction of children's faith education. This article also explains the importance of a pastoral approach to support couples in mixed marriages in facing this challenge. The research uses the literature study method in the hope of providing insights and solutions that are relevant for mixed marriage couples in the current era.

Pastoral assistance using a Gestalt theory approach to women who experience stress due to "Domestic Violence" is an important effort in assisting victims of violence holistically. Gestalt theory, which emphasizes full awareness of one's own experiences and the surrounding environment, can provide an in-depth approach to help individuals understand the feelings, behavior and relationship patterns that are formed as a result of the violence they experience. This assistance aims to provide spiritual, emotional and psychological support through an approach that focuses on the victim's current experience and self-recovery.This mentoring process begins with building safe and understanding relationships, as well as providing space for women to talk about their experiences without fear of being judged. In assistance sessions, Gestalt techniques such as the “empty chair” can be used to help victims face and express their feelings of oppression, as well as increase awareness of their inner strength to overcome stress and trauma. Apart from that, the spiritual aspect is also an inseparable part in providing comfort and hope, as well as helping victims find greater meaning and purpose in life despite difficulties. It is hoped that the results of this assistance will help women victims of domestic violence to gain emotional recovery, increased self-esteem, and the ability to make healthier decisions in their relationships. Pastoral care using the Gestalt approach provides a comprehensive approach by combining psychological, emotional and spiritual aspects, so that it can support women to overcome the stress that arises from experiences of domestic violence.

Spiritual growth of Youth is the process of growing in size or growing in the spirituality and context of Christianity. Spiritual growth involves trying to guide individuals who do not yet have a personal attachment to Jesus Christ toward a connection with Him, so that they can become part of God's responsible community [Latif Helen Farida, "The Influence of Teaching and Fellowship on the Spiritual Growth of Children and Adolescents," Christian Theology and Ministry (2017), 120.]. Fear of divine punishment is a spiritually charged form of distress that appears in ordinary religious struggle, moral injury, shame-based faith formation, and, in some cases, scrupulosity. This article examines pastoral accompaniment for Christian congregants who interpret suffering, intrusive thoughts, moral imperfection, or ordinary uncertainty as evidence that God is angry and punitive. The study addresses a constructive problem: many pastoral responses either normalize fear as evidence of seriousness before God or dismiss it as irrational anxiety, yet both responses can intensify spiritual distress. Using a conceptual qualitative design, the article synthesizes peer-reviewed studies on religious and spiritual struggles, scrupulosity, spiritually integrated care, moral injury, and practical theology. The analysis proposes that pastoral care should neither dilute theological seriousness nor reinforce punitive images of God. Its main synthesis is a threefold pastoral framework, differentiated assessment, grace-oriented theological reframing, and collaborative accompaniment that includes referral when symptoms suggest obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, depression, or suicidal risk. The article concludes that effective pastoral accompaniment moves congregants from retributive anxiety toward secure attachment to God, morally responsible agency, and communal practices of confession, assurance, lament, and restoration. The contribution is a constructive model for churches that treats fear of divine punishment as a theological-psychological struggle requiring discernment, doctrinal care, ethical boundaries, and interdisciplinary cooperation.

This article examines pastoral counseling strategies for congregants whose Christian faith is weakened by sustained exposure to secular digital content. The problem is not framed as a deterministic claim that digital media directly destroys faith, but as a practical-theological concern: algorithmic personalization, secular moral imaginaries, online doubt communities, entertainment habits, and fragmented attention can reshape belief, practice, belonging, and trust in church authority. The study aims to construct a counseling model that is theologically responsible, psychologically informed, and pastorally usable in local churches. Using a conceptual qualitative design, the article synthesizes literature from digital religion studies, mediatization theory, adolescent and emerging-adult religiosity, media psychology, religious coping, and spiritually integrated counseling. The analysis identifies three main findings. First, faith degradation should be diagnosed as a layered process involving cognitive doubt, affective dryness, moral dissonance, ritual discontinuity, and communal displacement. Second, pastoral counseling must move beyond prohibition toward discerning digital habits, rebuilding spiritual attention, and restoring relational trust. Third, an integrated strategy is proposed: assessment of digital-spiritual formation, narrative and theological reconstruction, communal re-embedding, and digital rule-of-life practices. The article concludes that pastoral counseling in the digital age should function as a ministry of interpretive accompaniment rather than merely corrective instruction.
