This study aims to analyze the effect of Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding parameter variations on the mechanical and metallurgical properties of AISI 304 austenitic stainless steel, which is widely used in construction and industrial applications due to its excellent corrosion resistance and joint strength. The research focuses on identifying the optimal welding current to minimize welding defects and enhance joint structural integrity. Welding current was varied at three levels, namely 100 A, 125 A, and 135 A, while other parameters such as welding speed, argon shielding gas flow rate, and electrode type were kept constant. Mechanical properties were evaluated through Micro-Vickers hardness testing conducted in the weld metal, Heat Affected Zone (HAZ), and base metal, as well as tensile testing to determine ultimate tensile strength and elongation. In addition, non-destructive testing using the dye penetrant method was performed to detect surface welding discontinuities. Metallographic analysis was carried out using optical microscopy following an etching process to observe grain morphology, grain size, and the formation of microstructural phases. The results are expected to demonstrate a correlation between increased heat input due to higher welding current and changes in mechanical properties and microstructure, particularly in the HAZ. This study provides practical guidance for determining optimal TIG welding parameters for AISI 304 to achieve high tensile strength, homogeneous hardness distribution, and a stable microstructure resistant to intergranular corrosion.

The rapid development of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology offers significant efficiency opportunities across various sectors; however, empirical research within the local Indonesian context, particularly in Batam City, remains scarce. This exploratory study aims to analyze the influence of positive perception, negative perception, and AI regulation understanding on technology adoption trends, as well as productivity and product innovation opportunities among creative industry players. The creative industry is a focal point due to the inherent tension between technological efficiency and the preservation of human originality in the creative process. This research employs a quantitative causal approach, utilizing a sample of 30 respondents reached through snowball sampling techniques. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS software. The findings reveal that only positive perception has a significant direct impact on product innovation (p=0.004), while AI regulation and technical adoption do not show significant effects. This suggests that a positive technology mindset is a more decisive factor for innovation than technical mastery or current regulatory compliance. These results underscore the urgent need for local government socialization of AI policies and enhanced digital literacy for Batam's creative practitioners to transform them from mere users into strategic AI-driven innovators.

The phenomenon of child labor exploitation in the textile industry is a form of human rights violation that continues to occur in various countries, including in the global supply chains of multinational corporations. This practice not only involves individual perpetrators but also demonstrates the systematic involvement of corporations through production policies, cost pressures, and disregard for labor standards. The concept of corporate complicity is relevant to analyzing the extent to which corporations can be held criminally liable for human rights violations that occur in their business activities. This study aims to examine the forms of corporate involvement in child labor exploitation in the textile industry and analyze the framework for corporate criminal liability from a national and international legal perspective. The research method used is normative legal research with a statutory, conceptual, and case study approach. The results show that corporations can be considered to have participated in or assisted in human rights violations if they know about, allow, or profit from the practice of child labor exploitation. Although various international legal instruments such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights have affirmed corporate responsibility for human rights, their implementation in national law still faces obstacles, particularly regarding proving the element of guilt and imposing criminal sanctions on legal entities. Therefore, strengthening regulations, supply chain oversight mechanisms, and strict law enforcement are needed so that corporate criminal liability can be an effective instrument in preventing the exploitation of child labor and ensuring human rights protection.
