The aim of this research is to explain the comparison of diction in classical and modern short stories. Short stories, as the name suggests, are short stories, requiring concise storytelling, without going into special details that are more likely to lengthen the story. This type of research is qualitative research because the data is in the form of a description of the comparison of classic and modern short story diction. In a short story, a piece of a character's life is told which is full of conflict, a touching or enjoyable event and contains an impression that is not easily forgotten. According to Muhardi and Hasanuddin WS (1992: 10-11) in novels and short stories both use the reverse highlighting technique. In short stories, flashbacks often deceive readers because they cannot be digested immediately, sometimes readers have to read more than once to make it easier to digest. Meanwhile, in novels the reverse highlighting technique is easier for readers to recognize. Classical and modern short stories are literary works that have differences. This difference can be seen and studied from the way it is distributed, namely that classical short story literary works develop from social culture, but are not bound by customs and modern short story literary works are usually written in books, bloggers and other intermediary media. The conclusion shows that the diction form of Modern Short Stories is more practical in choosing words, more in line with the general understanding of modern readers. Use words that are more current and widely known. And tend to choose classic words, with the use of words that are less common or ancient; Using appropriate diction and language style can develop children's imagination and knowledge of language.

The aim of this research is to improve speaking skills through the Time token areinds method in class V Indonesian language subjects at SDN 132 Babalohe. The type of research used is pre-experimental research with the aim of. The research design used was a one-shot case study, namely an experimental research carried out to show the strength of measurement and scientific value of a research design and the experimental units in this research were 19 students in class V at SDN 132 Babalohe as a trial class for implementing the use of Time. Arends Token. The data collection technique in this research was carried out using a student interest in learning questionnaire sheet technique (student responses). Film, as a genre in the world of cinema, offers a short but captivating audiovisual experience. Films have the potential to create creative, entertaining works and have high artistic value. In the filmmaking process, various techniques and elements are used to improve the quality of the final result. Films are able to convey messages and emotions through various means, including dialogue, visuals, music and special effects. This research focuses on the important role of shooting techniques or cameras in film making. One of the techniques taught is Dutch Angle or Dutch Tilt, which involves tilting the camera angle on a vertical or horizontal axis. This technique is often used in the thriller and horror genres to create a dramatic effect on the audience. The film "Help Me" is an interesting case study, utilizing the Dutch Angle to produce emotions such as sadness, fear, anger, and surprise in the audience. The story of this film tells the story of a student named Dinda who is trapped in an organization that adheres to devil beliefs. Through the use of Dutch Angle, the audience is presented with an unstable atmosphere, creating tension and anxiety that blends with the main character's experiences. The aim of making the film "Help Me" is to apply the Dutch Angle technique to arouse the audience's emotions. In this way, the author hopes to strengthen the message and emotional nuances conveyed through this film. This research also aims to provide an overview of how shooting techniques in films can influence the audience's perception and emotions towards the work.

This article discusses the method of creating the screenplay for the film "Genius from Heaven," highlighting the role of fathers in the development of children with autism through a three-act structure. The creation method involves preparation, elaboration, synthesis, realization, and conclusion stages. The author conducts research, selects references from related films, and applies ideas with a three-act structure. The concept of creating this work includes the use of the dynamic character method and a three-act structure to build conflict and climax in the story. Analysis shows how the pressure from the father, changes in the behavior of the main character, Dino, and the father's awareness of his child's talent influence the dramatic dimension of the film. Technically, this article discusses the pre-production, production, and post-production stages, as well as production design, including work identity, film format, duration, language, and film goals. This film aims to provide insight to the public on educating children with special needs and demonstrates that behind someone's shortcomings, there are certainly strengths or unique talents.

This research examines deixis in short stories in Buku Bahasa Indonesia Kelas XIII Kurikulum Merdeka, which aims to identify and describe deixis, which is divided into personal, place, time, discourse, and social deixis. The method used is a qualitative and pragmatic descriptive approach, with the data source being short stories in the Buku Bahasa Indonesia Kelas VIII Kurikulum Merdeka. The analytical method in this research is the agih method, which uses data in the form of fragments of words and phrases contained in the short story "Kotak Sulap paman Tom and Parki dan Alergi Telur". Data was collected using reading, note-taking, analysis, and classifying techniques based on type. Data analysis was carried out using the Agih method. This research obtained 10 person deixis, 33 time deixis, 13 place deixis, 121 discourse deixis, and 10 social deixis. It is known that discourse deixis is used more often in short stories, with the highest number among other deixis. The benefits of this analysis can be used as a reference regarding deixis and to find out the use of deixis in literary works in the form of short stories.

This study was a classroom action research (CAR) on improving students’ vocabulary achievement through short story to Junior High School. This research was conducted within two cycles in which each cycle consisted of three meetings. Either first cycle or second cycle consisted of planning, action, observation/evaluation, and reflection. The subject of this study was 8th Grade students’ at SMP Negeri 4 Kendari. A number of the students in the class were 32 students. Then, the instruments were used in this study include observation sheet of teacher’s and students’ activity, vocabulary test. The improvement could be seen in the result of students’ achievement after conducting this study was 90.62% proved that it achieved classical achievement. Moreover, percentage of teacher’s and student’s activity also achieved 800% in the second cycle. In other words, the students’ vocabulary at Grade 8th of SMP Negeri 4 Kendari improved through short story.

The aim of this research is to find architectural criticism contained in short stories using descriptive methods which is a way of solving problems using analyze and read carefully the architectural aspects contained in the short story. The aim of this research is to determine the differences in the use of materials and spatial layouts used in the past and today. spatial color and spatial arrangement in the short story entitled Gubuk Syukur by Maemunah. Where the owner renovates a house that was previously made of wooden walls into a brick wall house with the spatial arrangement that the homeowner wants. The techniques used in the research when collecting data were heirloom, listening and note-taking techniques. The source of data in this research was the short story Gubuk Syukur. The results of this research show the form of descriptive criticism found in the short story Gubuk Syukur by Maemunah, which in this research uses 3 methods of criticism, namely static criticism, dynamic criticism and process criticism.

The problem in this research is more focused on the form of inner conflict of the main character Rani. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method, using a short story literary work entitled When Mas Wants to Marry Again by Nirmala Rustini as a research source. The data collection technique uses the note-reading method, by reading the entire short story and recording relevant data to be used as a source of research data. From the results of this research, it was found that there were five inner conflicts found in the short story When Mas Wants to Marry Again, namely feelings of sadness, feelings of anger, feelings of fear, feelings of anxiety, and feelings of disappointment.

The genre of literary work used is Cyber Ghost novel by Tasyarani Aca in Fantasteen series published by mizan publisher. The problem raised is related to how we can use the website for positive activities. Where in the story is to solve problems using the current digital era. The method used is the hermeutic method and descriptive qualitative for the journal study data of the novel's building blocks. The value contained in the short story entitled Cyber Ghost is cooperation with others to solve problems, to determine opinions, and also to remind others of mistakes that have been made. Moral messages that can be learned are related to familiarity, ethics when educating a child, morals towards parents and how to face and solve a problem. The results in this literary work are in the form of advice that everyone sometimes has personality things that the closest people should know, strengthen the sense of friendship, and address a problem properly.  The technology contained in this novel is a website which is managed by two high school students.

The aim of this research is to analyze the content of Tantri Pranash's short story "In Pantura Intersection” using a literary sociology approach. In literary sociology, Literary works are seen as a reflection of social life and cannot be separated from consideration elements of fiction and social aspects in social life. This means studying literary sociology the relationship between literary works and people in society, as well as social processes. Method The research used in this research is a qualitative descriptive research method. With using reading and note-taking techniques as data collection techniques. The aim of this research is to analyze the attachment style experienced by the main character Samara and her father. The material object that the researcher used was a novel entitled 11:11 . The research method used is descriptive qualitative based on data sources in the short story Samar in the novel 11:11 written by Fiersa Besari. Researchers analyzed using John Bowlby's theory about attachment style. The results of the research can be concluded that the main character named Samara experiences an anxious and avoidant attachment style so that Samara finds it difficult to trust other people, feels unloved and avoids the people around her.

This research is a pragmatic study that focuses on performative speech acts in the Narrative Text in the Book "Narrative Text and Literacy of Fiction-Nonfiction Books (Cas from Stories and Books) Module 5 Indonesian Language Package B Equivalent Junior High School Class IX". Performative speech is an action that has been completed by the speaker and that by expressing it means that the action is completed at that moment. In performative speech there are actions that lead to commissive, representative, conative and directive actions. The purpose of this study is to describe the performative speech acts in the Narrative Text in the Book "Narrative Text and Literacy of Fiction-Nonfiction Books (Cas from Stories and Books) Module 5 Indonesian Language Package B Equivalent Junior High School Class IX" so that it is expected to add references to pragmatics research, especially in speech act research. This research method is descriptive qualitative research, which is a research method that aims to make a systematic description. The research approach used a theoretical approach. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative, which is researching on natural object conditions where the researcher is the key instrument. Data collection techniques through listening, reading and recording techniques. The results of the discussion found 10 data in the form of performative speech acts in the book "Narrative Text and Literacy of Fiction-Nonfiction Books (Cas from Stories and Books) Module 5 Indonesian Language Package B Equivalent Junior High School Class IX". The benefit of this research is that it can be used as a development and development of Indonesian language, can be used as a reference for students to students through data examples obtained in this article and can be used as a treasure of pragmatics literature that is already available.

The main problem in this research is the lack of short story writing skills in class V students at SD Inpres Kampung Parang, Eremerasa District, Bantaeng Regency. So the researchers used Bolding media (rolling balls). This research aims to determine the effectiveness of Bolding media (rolling balls) on the short story writing skills of class V students at SD Inpres Kampung Parang, Eremerasa District, Bantaeng Regency. The type of research used is an experiment in the form of Pre-Experimental Design. The data source in this research was 15 class V students at SD Inpres Kampung Parang, Eremerasa District, Bantaeng Regency. Data collection was carried out using the results of the assessment of short story writing skills. The data obtained was then analyzed using statistical analysis techniques, namely descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. After analyzing the data, researchers found that student learning outcomes before using Bolding (rolling ball) learning media were relatively low, namely the average score of the Pre-test results was 58 .33, then the average value of the Post-test results is 85.67. After obtaining tCount 9.223 and tTable 2.14479, we get tCount > tTable or 9.223>2.14479. Based on the results of tCount and tTable, it can be said that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that the use of Bolding (rolling ball) learning media is effective on short story writing skills for class V elementary school. Background: Children with disabilities, especially mentally retarded, have difficulty distinguishing between appropriate and inappropriate touches, which will make it difficult for disabled children to identify actions that lead to sexual harassment directed at them. Intellectual disability or mental disability is a condition where a person's intelligence development experiences obstacles so that they do not reach the optimal stage of development. Digital pop up books are very easy to understand in the learning process and are an effective medium in providing sexual education for mentally retarded children. Purpose: The aim of this community service is to increase awareness of mentally retarded teenagers about preventing sexual violence through digital pop up book media. Method: The stages include planning and preparation, implementation of service activities with workshops, Popi Dita fungame, barcode story corner hut and evaluation. The activity was held on Wednesday 7 June 2023 at SLB Samudra Lavender Bangkalan. Measuring the success of this digital pop up book media uses a pre-test and post-test with a questionnaire containing 16 short questions. Result: The results showed an increase in student knowledge scores from 4.95 to 7.36. The paired t-test obtained a p- value of 0.019 which shows that sexual violence prevention interventions can increase the knowledge or awareness of mentally retarded children regarding the prevention of sexual violence.    Conclusion: This activity was successfully carried out with high participation and enthusiasm from students in taking part in this activity. It is hoped that this pop up book can be a useful educational tool for schools in an effort to minimize the number of victims of sexual violence.

This abstract reviews the concept of vocal series from a theoretical and practical point of view, focusing on the analysis of vocal series in the short story "the story of the mouse deer and the crocodile". This study aims to investigate the properties of vocal series and their potential in providing new insights related to understanding and application of vocal series in sound processing technology. explore the use of vowel series in language and understand their role in creating nuance in stories. Qualitative analysis methods are used to explore the meaning contained in vowel series, explain the relationship between vowel use and characters, and identify linguistic patterns that enrich the narrative. The findings from this study may provide additional insight into the use of language in short stories and the contribution of vocal series to the formation of the story's atmosphere.

The rise of the internet horror can be found online, in particular as a type of stories called the “creepypasta”. There seems to be a few studies on creepypasta that focus on the narrative structure. An American philosopher Noël Carroll who explains the structure of horror narratives and how it can be used to produce the desired horror effect. The theory used in this research is the plot structure and suspense as stated by Carroll. The central question of this research is how to explain the structures of plot and suspense in a creepypasta story, in light of Carroll’s theory. The creepypasta selected for this study is “Abandoned by Disney” by Christopher Howard Wolf. The analysis is conducted using qualitative content analysis method. The findings show that the plot structure corresponds to Carroll’s complex-discovery plot, with a longer onset stage, where the story’s monster is foreshadowed, and a shorter discovery stage, where the monster is revealed. The suspense, in the form of story questions generated in the reader, corresponds to the plot stages; the longer onset stage generates more questions to sustain suspense, and the discovery stage generates fewer questions as the monster is revealed.
