The problem faced by PT. Dinda Holding Company (DHC) is that it has difficulty in determining the best employees from a number of employees with varying performance qualities. Until now, the selection process has been carried out manually, taking into account the subjective assessments of the owner or store manager, without a structured evaluation system. As a result, employee selection tends to be inconsistent and leads to dissatisfaction among both employees and the business owner. Additionally, selected employees do not always demonstrate optimal performance, which impacts service quality and the operational sustainability of the store. Therefore, a decision support system was designed to assist PT. Dinda Holding Company (DHC) in selecting the best employees objectively, quickly, and accurately. Employees are human resources used as a driving force in the business operations of a company. The company faces the challenge of maintaining its competitive edge, which requires data on the performance of employees with good performance. This system applies the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to perform calculations and evaluations based on predetermined criteria. The result of this system development is a desktop-based application using the Java programming language and a MySQL database, which is expected to assist management in making more measurable and structured decisions.

Employee performance represents the ability to fulfill tasks and responsibilities according to organizational standards. At UPTD Puskesmas Kosambi, the evaluation of Non-Civil Servant (Non-ASN) healthcare workers is still done manually and tends to be subjective, primarily based on attendance. This study aims to address the issue by developing a decision support system using the MOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization on the Basis of Ratio Analysis) method. A descriptive-applied approach and the waterfall development model were employed. Five evaluation criteria were used: attendance (25%), service quality (35%), report timeliness (20%), patient complaints (10%), and lateness (10%). Data from 20 Non-ASN healthcare workers in April 2025 were analyzed, with Anis Julianti achieving the highest MOORA score of 0.3839. The system underwent validation through black-box testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), both confirming its accuracy and usability. The findings were compared with previous studies. Harningsih et al. (2024) used the MOORA method for promotion evaluations at the North Sumatra Provincial Inspectorate Office and recorded a top score of 0.3616. Dewi Yohana br Ginting et al. (2024) applied the method at a beauty clinic and found a top score of 0.3747. These comparisons indicate that the MOORA results in this study fall within a consistent and valid range. The developed decision support system is expected to enhance the objectivity, transparency, and accountability of performance evaluations for Non-ASN employees in primary healthcare services, offering a more comprehensive alternative to manual assessment methods.

This study aimed to develop a competency-based performance evaluation model for mathematics teachers at the junior secondary level. Recognizing the crucial role of teacher quality in student achievement, the study focused on measurable aspects of performance, including content mastery, instructional management, and professional commitment. A quantitative approach was employed using a research and development (R&D) framework, supported by a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control groups. Data were collected via structured questionnaires, classroom observations, interviews, and expert validations through focus group discussions. Statistical analyses included descriptive statistics, ANOVA, t-tests, and confirmatory factor analysis using SPSS and LISREL. The results indicated that the developed model effectively differentiated teacher performance across various school categories, with 45% categorized as good, 53% adequate, and 2% poor. Student achievement was positively correlated, with 82% achieving the minimum competency threshold. The factor analysis confirmed a valid measurement model: F1 = 0.505ZX1 + 0.475ZX2 + 0.308ZX3, explaining 57.92% of the variance in teacher performance. The findings suggest that teacher evaluation must integrate multidimensional competencies and contextual factors to be accurate and actionable. This study contributes a validated, data-driven evaluation framework aligned with national standards and global educational expectations, offering practical implications for policy, supervision, and teacher development.

The objective of this study is to examine and compare the financial performance of Islamic banks and conventional banks in Indonesia during the 2019–2023 period. This research is motivated by the rapid growth of the Islamic banking industry; however, its market share remains relatively small compared to conventional banks. The study evaluates various financial ratio indicators, including Return on Assets (ROA), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), BOPO, Non-Performing Loans (NPL), and Non-Performing Financing (NPF), using a quantitative approach and comparative method. Data were collected from the annual financial reports of several major banks selected through purposive sampling. The results of the analysis indicate that conventional banks generally outperform in terms of profitability and operational efficiency, as reflected in the ROA and BOPO ratios. On the other hand, Islamic banks demonstrate more stable financing quality and liquidity, as indicated by relatively stable NPF and FDR ratios. These performance differences stem from the distinct operational principles of the two banking systems: interest-based operations for conventional banks and profit-sharing principles for Islamic banks. The study concludes that a more comprehensive evaluation method, integrating both sharia compliance and financial elements, is essential to provide a fair and accurate assessment of bank performance. The findings are expected to be valuable for regulators, academics, and industry practitioners in formulating policies that support a more inclusive and sustainable banking system.

The objective of this study is to evaluate the financial performance of PT PP (Persero) Tbk over the period from 2020 to 2023. The assessment was conducted by analyzing several key financial ratios, including profitability, liquidity, solvency, and activity ratios. This study employed a descriptive quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the company’s annual financial statements. The analysis revealed a decline in the company’s profitability, as indicated by a downward trend in the Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE) ratios. The company's liquidity remained relatively stable but was still below the ideal standard, particularly in the quick ratio, indicating a need for improvement in the management of liquid assets. The solvency analysis revealed a high dependency on debt, which could increase financial risk if not properly managed. Meanwhile, the activity ratios showed a decrease in operational efficiency in utilizing assets to generate revenue. These findings support the hypothesis that PT PP (Persero) Tbk is facing challenges in maintaining financial health, particularly in balancing growth with sustainable performance. This study has limitations, including a data scope restricted to financial ratios and the absence of consideration for external factors such as macroeconomic conditions and industry comparisons. Future research is recommended to adopt a more comprehensive and integrative approach by combining quantitative and qualitative methods, in order to gain deeper insights into financial decision-making processes and the company’s strategic direction.

This study aims to explore the practices and perceptions of tutors in implementing assessment in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) instruction at non-formal language course institutions. A quantitative method was used, involving data collection through questionnaires with both closed and open-ended questions, complemented by an online interview to deepen the understanding of assessment implementation. The results show that diagnostic and formative assessments are the most frequently used types (100%), while performance-based and project-based assessments are used by 50% of the respondents. None of the tutors reported using self-assessment, indicating a limited variety in assessment methods applied. The main purposes of assessment include identifying students’ learning needs, monitoring progress, and evaluating teaching effectiveness. Despite facing challenges such as limited time and low student motivation, tutors managed to apply solutions like group discussions and peer feedback. Assessment was found to positively impact both students’ skill development and tutors’ understanding of -learners’ needs. The study concludes that assessment in ESP plays a strategic role not only as an evaluation tool but also as a diagnostic and formative mechanism that supports continuous learning. Therefore, proper understanding and contextual adaptation are essential in maximizing the role of assessment in ESP instruction.

Assessment of learning outcomes plays a crucial role in evaluating students' academic achievement. Midterm and final exam scores are often used as benchmarks for learning performance, yet the relationship between the two is rarely analyzed in depth. This study aims to examine the correlation between Midterm Exam (UTS) and Final Exam (UAS) scores in Mathematics among 11th-grade students at Bhakti Kencana Vocational High School in Bandung. A quantitative approach with a correlational method was employed, involving 30 students as the sample. Data were obtained through documentation of scores, and analysis was conducted using the Spearman Correlation Test due to the data not being fully normally distributed. The results indicated a significant and positive correlation between UTS and UAS scores, with a correlation coefficient of 0.511. This suggests that midterm scores can serve as a fairly reliable indicator of final exam performance and reflect the consistency of students' academic performance. The implications of these findings highlight the importance of continuous monitoring and learning efforts from mid-semester onwards to optimize students' final outcomes.
