This research explores the meaning of leadership in employee experiences at Ayam Uleg Cak Abit outlets in Malang City using a transcendental phenomenological approach. In the context of culinary organizations operating 24 hours without formal managerial structures, leadership is understood not merely as a structural position but as relational experiences shaping daily work life. This study involves six participants (two leaders and four employees) selected through purposive sampling, with data collected through in-depth interviews, non-participatory observations, and documentation. Data analysis follows Moustakas' (1994) four stages: epoche, phenomenological reduction, imaginative variation, and synthesis of meanings and essences. Findings reveal that employees perceive meaningful leadership through leader's direct presence, involvement in operational work, emotional support during high-pressure situations, and creating work environments valuing each employee's contribution. Leadership essence emerges through authentic relationships, consistent exemplary behavior, and sincere care in daily interactions rather than formal authority or hierarchical position. This research contributes to leadership theory by providing phenomenological perspectives and offers practical implications for developing more humanistic leadership practices in informal organizations. The study concludes that meaningful leadership in culinary outlets is built through trust, open communication, and ability to build significant relationships with employees.

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style and work motivation on employee loyalty at the Bungku Pesisir District Office, Morowali Regency. The study used a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 40 employees as respondents. The research instrument consisted of 36 statement items with the variables of leadership style (X1), work motivation (X2), and employee loyalty (Y). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that leadership style and work motivation were in the high category, while employee loyalty was also classified as very good. Normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests showed that the regression model met the requirements of the analysis. The results of multiple linear regression showed that leadership style and work motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty, both partially and simultaneously. A determination coefficient (R²) of 0.725 showed that 73% of employee loyalty variations were influenced by these two independent variables, while the other 27% were influenced by other factors outside the study. Thus, this study concludes that improving effective leadership style and strong work motivation play an important role in strengthening employee loyalty in the Bungku Pesisir District Office. The results of this study imply that organizations need to improve the quality of leadership and create a work environment that can motivate employees optimally.

Digital transformation has become imperative for organizations worldwide, yet the failure rate of these initiatives remains significantly high. This article aims to analyze the strategic role of Change Management in bridging the gap between technology adoption and human resource readiness. Using a descriptive qualitative method and recent literature review (2019-2023), this study finds that the main challenge in the digital era lies not in technological complexity, but in cultural resistance and employee mental unpreparedness. The results indicate that change management approaches focused on human-centric design, transparent communication, and digital upskilling are key to turning digital disruption into sustainable competitive opportunities. Effective digital transformation requires a deep understanding of organizational dynamics and employee attitudes toward change. Proper application of change management principles can reduce resistance, enhance collaboration, and ensure smoother technology adoption. Therefore, it's crucial for companies to integrate ongoing training and support into every stage of the digital transition to maximize its potential.

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the SOSEK MALINDO (Malaysian-Indonesian Socio-Economic) regional collaboration program in addressing human trafficking, coordinated by the Regional Border Management Agency (BPPD) of the Riau Islands Province (Kepri). The Riau Islands Province, which borders Malaysia and Singapore, is a strategic entry point vulnerable to transnational crimes, including human trafficking. The main factors driving the people of Kepri to choose illegal routes to become Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) to Malaysia are economic pressure, limited job opportunities, attractive promises from brokers (tekong), complex and expensive official bureaucracy, and a lack of accurate information about official procedures. This situation is exploited by human trafficking networks through hidden routes, illegal ports, and methods of illegal labor and sexual exploitation. Although SOSEK MALINDO aims to improve the socio-economic welfare of communities in border areas and indirectly functions to reduce vulnerability to human trafficking, this program does not specifically make human trafficking its main focus. The BPPD plays a very important role as a liaison in cooperation with the Indonesian National Police, Immigration, and BP3MI for prevention and supervision. However, the BPPD faces challenges such as limited funding, overlapping authority between institutions, and a lack of accurate data on human trafficking. Strategic recommendations include making human trafficking a primary focus of the SOSEK MALINDO forum agenda, establishing a dedicated cross-border human trafficking task force, strengthening the BPPD's role in coordination and information gathering, and involving local communities, NGOs, and international organizations in mitigation efforts.

The Gender Development Index (GDI) is a key indicator for assessing disparities in human development achievements between women and men. In recent years, Indonesia’s GDI has shown a consistent upward trend, reaching 91.85 in 2024. Nevertheless, this numerical improvement does not fully represent the achievement of substantive gender equality. This article aims to analyze the dynamics of Indonesia’s GDI by positioning it within a comparative Asian context and examining the substantive gaps that persist behind the rising indicators. This study employs a qualitative approach based on secondary data and literature review. The primary data sources include publications from Statistics Indonesia on the Gender Development Index and Gender Inequality Index for the 2020–2024 period, as well as the Global Gender Gap Reports 2024 and 2025 published by the World Economic Forum. Descriptive quantitative analysis is combined with qualitative interpretation and illustrative interview findings from civil society organizations, universities, and provincial and local Offices of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection in Central Java, Southeast Sulawesi, Grobogan Regency, and Semarang City. The findings indicate that Indonesia’s GDI improvement is largely driven by advances in women’s health and educational attainment. However, substantial gaps remain in the economic dimension, particularly in per capita expenditure and women’s labor market participation, which constrain proportional improvements in women’s Human Development Index. This article underscores the importance of interpreting the GDI as a reflective policy instrument and advocates for structural transformation to ensure that numerical progress translates into genuine gender justice.

This study investigates how faith-based giving can be transformed into measurable development impact in the education sector, focusing on the Global Muslim Philanthropy Fund for Children (GMPFC) established by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in partnership with UNICEF. Traditional Islamic philanthropic instruments, such as zakat and sadaqah, often provide short-term relief but lack structured governance, limiting their long-term impact on educational outcomes. Using a qualitative-explorative, this research analyzes secondary data from 2021–2025, including institutional reports, program documents, and peer-reviewed literature, to assess how GMPFC operationalizes faith-based resources through pooled, multilateral, and impact-oriented mechanisms. The findings indicate that GMPFC strategically funds education-enabling conditions, including child health, nutrition, psychosocial wellbeing, and youth empowerment, which are empirically linked to school readiness, retention, and learning quality. Comparative analysis shows that GMPFC outperforms traditional philanthropy and conventional aid by combining cultural legitimacy, institutional rigor, and alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Its governance model ensures standardized monitoring, fiduciary oversight, and cross-sectoral integration, addressing longstanding limitations of fragmented philanthropic delivery. Despite its effectiveness, the study highlights a lack of longitudinal learning outcome data, limiting precise quantification of educational impact beyond enabling conditions. Nonetheless, GMPFC exemplifies a hybrid development-finance model, demonstrating how Islamic philanthropic values can be operationalized to generate sustainable, measurable contributions to child education and human capital formation. These findings offer actionable insights for policymakers, development practitioners, and faith-based organizations aiming to scale philanthropic resources for education in vulnerable contexts.

This study aims to explore the condition of information technology infrastructure and to evaluate the extent to which the Lapak Aduan Banyumas service, managed by the Department of Communication and Informatics of Banyumas Regency, operates effectively. The study employs SWOT and Value Chain analysis approaches. A qualitative descriptive method is applied, with data collected through interviews and documentation involving officers responsible for managing the service. The results indicate that Lapak Aduan Banyumas has been operating optimally as a digital-based, transparent, and effective public complaint channel. Its main strengths lie in the ease of access through multiple service channels and the availability of features that enable real-time complaint status tracking. However, several challenges remain, including a limited number of human resources, less optimal collaboration among regional government organizations (OPDs), and network infrastructure constraints in several areas. The Value Chain analysis reveals that the complaint follow-up process and the dissemination of handling outcomes to the public represent the stages that generate the greatest added value in the service process. Therefore, this study suggests strengthening the complaint status monitoring system, enhancing inter-platform service integration, and utilizing artificial intelligence technologies to improve the complaint handling process. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a strategic basis for improving the quality of digital public services in Banyumas Regency.

The rapid expansion of the digital economy has significantly accelerated the growth of technology startups while simultaneously increasing market concentration among dominant digital platforms. This condition has intensified the implementation of anti-monopoly policies as a regulatory instrument to maintain fair competition. Amid the ongoing global economic crisis extending into 2025, debates have emerged regarding whether anti-monopoly policies foster or hinder innovation among technology startups. This study aims to examine the impact of anti-monopoly policies on technology startup innovation within the context of the global economic crisis. The research adopts a qualitative approach using a narrative literature review and policy analysis. The data are derived from academic journal articles, scholarly books, and official reports issued by international organizations and competition authorities published within the last five years. The analysis is conducted through a descriptive-analytical method by synthesizing key findings related to anti-monopoly policy, technological innovation, digital market dynamics, and global economic conditions. The findings indicate that anti-monopoly policies can create a more equitable competitive environment for technology startups by limiting market dominance and abusive practices by large firms. However, during periods of global economic crisis, the effectiveness of such policies largely depends on regulatory design, consistency of enforcement, and the state’s capacity to balance competition protection with innovation incentives. Overly restrictive policies may suppress investment and startup growth, whereas adaptive and market-responsive regulations can enhance the resilience of technology startup innovation. This study contributes theoretical and policy insights for developing competition law frameworks that are more responsive to the challenges of the digital economy and global economic uncertainty.

Stunting is a serious health problem that affects the physical and cognitive development of children, especially in toddlers aged 0-24 months, with a prevalence that remains high in Indonesia. Community service at the Kapasa Health Centre aims to provide health education to mothers as a strategic step to prevent stunting, using interactive methods and counselling on balanced nutrition and the importance of monitoring child growth. The program has been successful in improving maternal knowledge, with the average score increasing from 34% before the program to 78% after education, demonstrating its effectiveness in changing knowledge of child nutrition. The interactive approach encourages participant engagement, allowing mothers to actively discuss and ask questions, while visual materials reinforce understanding. To effectively combat stunting, education must be complemented by greater knowledge of nutritious foods and by parental monitoring of child growth. Collaboration with local health authorities and community organizations is critical to sustaining these efforts and ensuring that important information reaches more families. Continuous evaluation and adaptive strategies will be essential to expanding the program's reach and effectiveness, ultimately encouraging healthier future generations and contributing significantly to stunting prevention and increased health awareness in the community.

The digital era continues to evolve and bring innovation and change to various industries. Through digital transformation and strategies needed to overcome obstacles in the digital era, organizations can adapt and change. To achieve their goals, MSMEs must implement efficient marketing techniques in their operations. This community service method uses the PAR (Participatory Action Research) technique. This is in line with the conditions of the partner, Dwikora Village, which has human resources that are well known to both village officials and residents. The results found that due to a lack of understanding of digital marketing communication management procedures, they were unfamiliar with digital marketing techniques, different social media platforms, or how to measure their effectiveness. The Community Service Team conveyed their understanding of the importance of digital marketing communication in improving the knowledge and skills of residents as an effort to improve their marketing communication skills. This was because many residents, especially mothers, did not understand how to use digital marketing to promote their MSMEs. The team formed a content creation team or digital marketing communication managers, socialized the value of digital marketing communication to the sub-district residents in improving their knowledge and skills, and implemented a digital marketing communication message management strategy on Instagram. After these activities, partners can create interesting and relevant content that suits the interests of the target audience in Dwikora Village, namely its residents.

This study investigated how employee engagement and work–life balance influenced turnover intention, with rewards examined as an intervening mechanism, among Generation Z employees in a state-owned enterprise context. A quantitative explanatory design was applied using a census approach involving all 36 Generation Z employees at PT PLN (Persero) Pematangsiantar. Data were collected through structured questionnaires measured on a five-point Likert scale and were analyzed using multiple regression and mediation-based path analysis in SPSS. The findings showed that employee engagement and work–life balance significantly predicted perceived rewards, and all three variables exerted significant effects on turnover intention. Moreover, rewards partially mediated the effects of employee engagement and work–life balance on turnover intention, indicating that positive work experiences reduced employees’ intention to leave when they were reinforced by fair and meaningful reward practices. However, the small sample size limited the generalizability of the findings beyond the organizational setting studied. This study contributes by demonstrating that retention of Generation Z employees is shaped not only by psychological attachment and work–life balance, but also by how organizations institutionalize recognition and value exchange through reward systems, particularly in public service and state-owned enterprises.
