River pollution has become one of the serious environmental issues in Indonesia, including in the Gelis River in Kudus City. The lack of public awareness—especially among the younger generation—in maintaining river cleanliness highlights the need for effective and engaging educational media. This study aims to design an Android-based educational game as an interactive learning tool for children aged 7 to 12 years to raise their awareness about the importance of keeping rivers clean. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D), employing the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The game developed, titled RiverCourse: Petualangan Menjaga Sungai (RiverCourse: The Adventure of Protecting the River), features a sidescrolling mechanic with a visual style combining pixel art and cartoons, suited to the cognitive development stage of children. Testing was conducted on the target age group through observation and simple questionnaires.

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of a Mindfulness -based psychotherapy intervention in reducing academic stress levels experienced by college students. The study used a pretest–posttest design without a control group, involving 10 active college students purposively selected based on moderate to high levels of academic stress. The intervention was implemented over two days and included reflective exercises and guided experiences focused on the application of the seven Mindfulness  principles according to Kabat-Zinn (2015): non-judgment using personal standards, patience, a beginner's mind, trust, effortlessness, acceptance, and letting go. Data were collected using an academic stress scale that measures four aspects: coursework pressure, demands for satisfactory grades, time management for studying, and social support. Data were analyzed quantitatively using a paired-samples t-test. The results showed a significant decrease in academic stress levels from an average score of 73.1 to 58.5, indicating that this intervention was effective in helping students manage academic stress more consciously, calmly, and adaptively. This condition suggests that psychotherapy intervention through Mindfulness  training can be a strategy to support students' psychological well-being in academic environments. Keywords: Mindfulness , academic stress, psychotrophic intervention, students

The rapid advancement of digital technology has reshaped the behavior and communication patterns of young people, including church youth who are highly active on social media. However, the lack of digital literacy and legal awareness often leads to the spread of hoaxes, unethical online behavior, and the risk of digital sexual harassment. This Community Service Activity (PKM) titled “Strengthening Digital Legal Literacy for Church Youth: Anti-Hoax Awareness and Prevention of Online Sexual Harassment under Indonesia’s ITE Law No. 1 of 2024” was carried out at HKBP Bethesda Perumnas Mandala Church, aiming to enhance youth understanding of the ITE Law and encourage responsible social media use. The activity was conducted through an interactive seminar and discussion involving 30 participants, focusing on three core topics: understanding the ITE Law, anti-hoax education, and digital sexual harassment prevention. The results showed a significant increase in participants’ awareness of digital ethics, legal responsibility, and strategies for online safety. Participants actively engaged in discussions, demonstrating high enthusiasm and comprehension of the material. This activity proves that collaboration between universities and churches can effectively promote digital legal literacy and moral awareness among the younger generation, supporting the creation of a safe, ethical, and law-abiding digital environment.

This research explores the impact of stock returns, financial literacy, and risk perception on investment decisions among Generation Z investors who use the Ajaib application in Indonesia. The study is driven by the increasing involvement of young digital investors and the growing importance of financial knowledge, risk awareness, and return expectations in shaping their behavior. A total of 250 respondents were surveyed, and the data were processed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that stock returns (β = 0.436, p < 0.001), financial literacy (β = 0.429, p < 0.001), and risk perception (β = 0.209, p = 0.002) each exert a positive and significant influence on investment decisions. The model explains 68% of the variance in investment decisions (R² = 0.626), confirming the robustness of the proposed framework. These results suggest that Gen Z investors with higher financial literacy, stronger risk awareness, and favorable return expectations are more likely to make confident and deliberate investment choices. The study contributes theoretically to behavioral finance literature and provides practical insights for improving financial literacy programs, enhancing investor education, and designing fintech features that foster trust. The findings can also inform policymakers in creating targeted initiatives to encourage responsible investment behavior among younger generations in Indonesia.

The rapid growth of online paylater services has raised concerns about their impact on students’ financial behavior, particularly given the increasing prevalence of consumptive lifestyles and limited financial literacy. This study investigates the influence of Lifestyle (X1) and Financial Literacy (X2) on the use of online paylater systems (Z) and their implications for Spending Behavior (Y) among students of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Dian Nuswantoro University. The study population consisted of 2,100 students from the 2021 and 2022 cohorts, with a sample of 117 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. The sample was selected purposively based on the criteria of being 18–24 years old and active users of paylater services. Primary data were collected through an online questionnaire employing a 5-point Likert scale and analyzed using SmartPLS 3.2 with the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. The results reveal that Lifestyle has a significant positive effect on both Spending Behavior and Paylater use, while Paylater use itself also positively influences Spending Behavior. In contrast, Financial Literacy shows no significant effect and does not mediate the relationships. The novelty of this study lies in integrating Lifestyle, Financial Literacy, Paylater adoption, and Spending Behavior into a single explanatory model, thereby offering new insights into the financial decision-making patterns of Generation Z students in the context of digital financial services.

The rapid development of financial technology has transformed transactional behavior, particularly among Generation Z. Easy access through mobile banking, particularly BCA Mobile, has made financial activities more practical but also poses risks of consumptive behavior due to low financial literacy and self-control. This study aims to analyze the influence of Financial Literacy, Lifestyle, and Locus of control on Financial Behavior, with Financial technology as a moderating variable. The research population consists of Generation Z users of BCA Mobile in Surabaya. A total of 147 respondents were selected using purposive sampling based on specific criteria. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The findings show that Financial Literacy and Locus of control have a significant positive effect on Financial Behavior, while Lifestyle has a significant negative effect. Furthermore, Financial technology is proven to moderate the influence of Financial Literacy and Locus of control on Financial Behavior, but not the relationship between Lifestyle and Financial Behavior.

This study aims to examine Ibn Khaldun’s concept of character education and its relevance in shaping the personality of Generation Z in the digital era. The background of this research stems from the growing moral and social challenges faced by young people due to rapid technological advancement and the influence of globalization. This research employs a qualitative method using a library research approach by analyzing Ibn Khaldun’s works and related literature on Islamic character education. The findings reveal that Ibn Khaldun’s perspective on character education emphasizes the balance between ‘ilm (knowledge), adab (morality and ethics), and ‘ashabiyyah (social solidarity) as the foundation for forming a civilized individual. These values are highly relevant to be applied in modern education through teacher role modeling, habituation of positive behavior, and the integration of moral values into the curriculum. The implication of this study highlights that internalizing Ibn Khaldun’s principles of character education can serve as an effective strategy to develop a knowledgeable, ethical, and resilient generation capable of facing contemporary challenges.

Digital transformation in Indonesia's financial sector has accelerated the adoption of cashless payment systems, with QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) as the main innovation since its introduction by Bank Indonesia in 2019. Generation Z, as a digital native group, is the dominant user of QRIS due to their preference for fast, practical, and connected services. This study aims to empirically analyze the influence of lifestyle, ease of use, trust, and financial attitudes on the decision to use QRIS by Generation Z in Bogor Regency, as well as test the role of financial literacy as a moderation variable. The research approach uses quantitative methods through inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that only the variables of ease of use and financial attitude had a significant effect on the decision to use QRIS, with a significance value of < 0.05 and t calculated > t table. These findings reinforce the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) model, which emphasizes the importance of the perception of convenience in driving the adoption of digital payment technology. Meanwhile, the variables of lifestyle and trust did not have a significant effect, which may be due to the level of general trust that has been formed in QRIS and the digital lifestyle of respondents who have not fully developed. These results confirm the need to develop a more intuitive user experience and increase education related to digital financial literacy to strengthen the sustainable use of QRIS among Generation Z.

Critical thinking is an essential skill in the modern era, characterized by rapid changes in the workplace and the dynamics of daily life. In a time when information is readily accessible and challenges are increasingly complex, individuals are required not only to master technical skills (hard skills), but also to possess the ability to analyze, evaluate, and critically respond to information. These skills are the foundation for making informed, wise, and adaptive decisions. Case studies from various recent news outlets in Indonesia show that many young people, especially Gen Z, still face difficulties entering the workforce due to a lack of soft skills and mental preparedness. This phenomenon is evident in increasing reports of unpreparedness for work pressure, poor communication skills, and a lack of problem-solving skills. Through an analysis of the literature and news reports, this article explores the relationship between critical thinking skills and the real-world challenges faced by Gen Z. Furthermore, it offers practical recommendations for developing critical thinking capacity so that young people can better adapt, improve professional performance, and respond to various issues in daily life more maturely and responsibly.

This study investigates how the perception of corporations acts as a mediator connecting employer branding with applicants’ intentions to apply for jobs from the Gen Z demographic in Indonesia’s private banking sector. While the broader context refers to the Indonesian private banking industry, the empirical support identified in this study was drawn from Semarang, involving 120 Generation Z respondents who were either final-year students or recent graduates residing in the city. A quantitative design was conducted through a survey approach with purposive sampling, and data were acquired through web-based questionnaires. The evaluation was carried out employing the PLS-SEM method with SmartPLS version 4. 0. The findings indicate that employer branding significantly influences both the reputation of the company and the likelihood of application in a positive manner. Additionally, a company's reputation is strongly and positively linked to the intention to apply, serving as a bridge between employer branding and the desire to seek employment opportunities. The study highlights that employer branding, when managed effectively, enhances Generation Z’s application intention, operating both as a direct driver and via the mediating influence of corporate reputation. Practically, this implies private banks in Indonesia particularly those operating in Semarang should concentrate on advancing employer branding practices while upholding a strong corporate reputation to draw and involve talented candidates from Generation Z. This study provides a contribution to the academic field by highlighting empirical evidence collected in Semarang reflect the interaction between employer branding and corporate reputation in influencing job application behavior of Generation Z within the private banking sector.

This community service research aims to improve the knowledge and skills of Generation Z in Blitar City in organizing funeral prayers according to Islamic law. This activity is motivated by the low understanding of the younger generation regarding the procedures for performing funeral prayers, even though it is part of the fardhu kifayah obligation that should be understood by every Muslim. Through this training activity, it is hoped that Generation Z will have theoretical and practical skills in performing funeral prayers correctly and raise awareness of the importance of social and spiritual responsibility in community life. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) by actively involving participants in two stages of activities, namely providing material on the laws, pillars, and prayers of funeral prayers, as well as direct practice of its implementation guided by competent speakers. The results of the study showed that this training went well and received a positive response from the participants. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, there was an average increase in knowledge scores of 42%, which indicates a significant increase in the understanding and skills of participants. Participants were able to explain the pillars, valid conditions, and procedures for funeral prayers correctly. In addition to increasing knowledge, this activity also strengthens religious values, social responsibility, and spiritual awareness among the younger generation. Therefore, this training is effective in shaping a Generation Z that is knowledgeable, moral, and committed to the teachings of Islam in its entirety.

The form of historicization in literary criminology views criminality as the result of power relations, unequal social structures, and history. Criminal acts in historicization are always placed in a specific time and place context, tracing how a behavior is considered “criminal” or “against the law” depending on the historical construction formed by the legal system, the state, and the rulers. Historicization also reveals that what is referred to as crime is not absolute, but can change according to historical developments and power struggles. The purpose of this study is to describe the form of criminalization in the novel Lampuki, which is not merely an individual deviant act, but a reflection of historical trauma and a flawed social structure. The approach used is literary sociology. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative method with reading and note-taking techniques obtained from the novel Lampuki by Arafat Nur in the form of sentences and paragraphs. The results of the study show that there are seven data points that fall under the form of criminalization of history. From the seven data points, three findings were generalized and discovered in Arafat Nur novel Lampuki, namely: (1) transgenerational trauma of violence, (2) the destruction of the socio-cultural structure, and (3) dark figure of crime.

The digital era has transformed communication patterns among millennials and Gen Z in Indonesia. This study analyzes the phenomenon of code-mixing and code-switching on social media among students at STIE Balikpapan as representatives of the digital generation in a multiethnic environment. Employing a qualitative method with a virtual ethnography approach, data were collected through six months of virtual participant observation and systematic digital documentation across multiple social media platforms. The findings reveal that code-mixing predominantly occurs in intra-sentential and intra-lexical forms, while code-switching takes inter-sentential forms according to communication contexts. The primary factors driving mixed language use are social identity, communication efficiency, and audience adaptation. Balikpapan's multiethnic context enriches these practices through interactions among Indonesian, regional languages, and English. These findings contribute to the field of digital sociolinguistics and serve as a reference for language learning in higher education institutions and the development of Indonesian language policies.

This study aims to analyze the strategies used by Islamic banks to improve Islamic financial literacy in the digital era and to identify the challenges and opportunities that arise during their implementation. A mixed method approach with a concurrent triangulation design was applied, combining qualitative data collected through interviews and document analysis with quantitative data gathered from community perception surveys regarding Islamic financial literacy. Data analysis involved thematic content analysis for qualitative data and descriptive statistics for quantitative data, which were later integrated through triangulation to produce more comprehensive findings. The results indicate that Islamic banks implement strategies centered on the synergy between direct educational programs, collaboration with academic institutions and communities, and the utilization of digital technology through applications and social media platforms. The findings also reveal a significant literacy gap, particularly among younger generations and groups with limited digital access. Nevertheless, opportunities for literacy improvement continue to expand through internet penetration, digital innovation, and increasing public trust in the Islamic financial system. Overall, the study concludes that the success of Islamic financial literacy programs depends on the sustainable integration of educational and digital strategies.

The local cosmetics industry in Indonesia continues to grow rapidly and has become increasingly popular among Generation Z. However, the boycott issue against ESQA Cosmetics, triggered by a controversy involving one of its founders, has led to a decline in consumer trust. This study aims to examine the influence of social media marketing on purchase intention through brand trust in the case of ESQA Cosmetics. The research was conducted in Bali using a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Data were collected through an online questionnaire involving 110 Generation Z respondents who had never purchased ESQA products but had interacted with ESQA’s official social media account (@esqacosmetics). Data analysis was performed using SmartPLS with mediation testing to examine the relationships among variables. The results indicate that social media marketing has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention through brand trust, suggesting that the effectiveness of social media strategies can strengthen brand trust and ultimately increase consumer purchase intention. This finding highlights that brand trust serves as a key psychological mechanism linking social media marketing to purchase behavior. The study recommends that ESQA Cosmetics enhance interaction and transparency in its social media communication, provide prompt responses to consumers, and emphasize the authenticity and benefits of its products to rebuild trust and strengthen purchase intention following the boycott issue.
