In the digital age, consumer awareness of sustainable products has increased significantly. Recent research (2023-2025) shows that 84% of Indonesian consumers have used eco-friendly products, driven by a desire to preserve the earth. The purpose of this study is to analyze how digital information, particularly Electronic Word-of-Mouth (E-WOM), perceptions of sustainable packaging, and environmental concerns influence consumer perceptions and purchasing decisions in Indonesia. The proposed method is a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis, preceded by classical assumption testing and instrument reliability testing. Key findings from the supporting literature indicate that E-WOM has a strong influence on purchase interest, even mediating the relationship between green marketing and purchase intention. In addition, product information transparency (ecological labels) is significant in increasing trust. The conclusion confirms that effective digital strategies must prioritize positive E-WOM communication and sustainability data transparency.

Advances in digital technology have brought significant changes in the way local brands build their brand image and positioning in the market. Social media is one of the main platforms used in marketing communication strategies because of its ability to reach a wide and interactive audience. This research aims to analyze the marketing communication strategy implemented by Daclen, a local fashion brand from Bandung, in shaping sales positioning through the Instagram account @Daclen.id and its official website. The research method used was qualitative descriptive with data collection through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The analysis was carried out using the Circular Method of SOME (Share, Optimize, Manage, Engage) approach which emphasizes the connection between content sharing, message optimization, communication channel management, and active engagement with consumers. The results show that Daclen has succeeded in developing a simple, yet consistent and targeted digital communication strategy. Instagram is used as the primary medium to strengthen the visual power of brands, through uploading high-quality product photos, promotional videos, and active interaction with audiences. Meanwhile, Daclen's official website functions as a credibility center that provides complete information about products, prices, and after-sales service. The combination of the two creates a well-rounded consumer experience and supports an exclusive perception of the brand. Each stage in the SOME model is executed optimally. The Share stage includes the distribution of creative content with a consistent upload schedule. Optimize is done by adjusting messages according to trends and audience responses. Manage focuses on account management and interaction monitoring, while Engage focuses on building emotional connections through quick responses and interactive content. The implications of this study show that the SOME-model-based digital communication approach can help local brands such as Daclen strengthen their positioning, build an exclusive image, and create long-term relationships with consumers amid increasingly fierce competition in the digital fashion industry.

Legal protection for consumers is an important issue in maintaining public trust in products circulating in the market, especially in subsidized cooking oil products. Decreasing quality or cutting product content can affect consumer perception, which has an impact on decreasing trust in the product brand. This study aims to analyze the impact of legal protection on the consequences of cutting subsidized cooking oil and how this incident affects public trust. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study analysis of the event of cutting the contents of cooking oil products by PT AEGA. The results of the study indicate that non-compliance with product quality standards can cause consumer distrust and worsen the brand image that has been identified with the government subsidy program. Therefore, it is important for the government and business actors to increase transparency, supervision, and law enforcement so that the public does not feel disadvantaged and continues to trust the products they consume. This study also recommends strengthening regulations and legal counseling to the public to increase their awareness and participation in consumer protection.

This study aims to explore consumer perceptions regarding transaction security on digital marketplaces and to evaluate the impact of community-based educational interventions. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, involving in-depth interviews with ten active marketplace users in Tasikmalaya City. The findings revealed that consumers’ sense of security is shaped by personal experience, understanding of platform security features, and digital literacy. Prior to the intervention, most participants expressed high concern over data breaches and fraud, often opting for cash-on-delivery (COD) as a form of protection. Following a series of community education sessions—comprised of discussions and safe transaction simulations—significant changes were observed in consumer attitudes and behavior. Participants became more aware of the importance of verifying sellers, reading reviews, and using secure payment methods. The study concludes that localized community education effectively enhances awareness and trust among consumers, especially in areas where digital literacy remains limited.

The growth of digital platforms has driven significant transformations in marketing communication strategies, particularly in e-commerce advertising practices. Shopee, as one of the largest e-commerce companies in Indonesia, utilizes digital propaganda strategies through visual and audio content to shape consumer perception and behavior. The advertisement with the slogan "Belanja Seru, Hidup Lebih Mudah" (Fun Shopping, Easier Life) not only conveys promotional messages but also constructs social meanings of consumption, convenience, and happiness through symbols and visual narratives. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method using literature review techniques to analyze the message structure and communication strategies embedded in Shopee advertisements. The analysis considers visual, symbolic, and repetitive elements that function as covert propaganda mechanisms. The theoretical framework is based on propaganda communication and semiotic theory to understand how advertisements systematically shape consumerist consciousness. Findings reveal that propaganda in Shopee’s advertisements operates through symbolic repetition, celebrity endorsement, and the use of digital features such as limited-time promotions that trigger impulsive behavior. These practices contribute to the formation of digital consumer culture, supported by emotional engagement and algorithmic targeting. Media literacy enhancement is therefore essential to equip the public with critical awareness towards persuasive messages in digital spaces.

This study explores the role of halal certificates in increasing consumer confidence in food industry products in Indonesia. In a Muslim society and a global market that is increasingly aware of religious ethics and values, halal certificates are not only proof of halalness, but also serve as a signal of quality, safety and integrity of the producer. This research uses a qualitative approach through a literature study, by reviewing scientific articles, books, official reports, and relevant documents related to halal and consumer behavior. The results of the analysis show that halal certificates have three main roles: (1) as a credibility signal to reduce information asymmetry between producers and consumers; (2) as an instrument to reduce risk perceptions of ingredients, processes, and production ethics; and (3) as a brand communication medium that builds emotional attachment and social value. Consumers, especially millennials and Gen Z, demand halalness accompanied by transparency and education in the certification process. Halal certificates also strengthen product competitiveness in the global market, reflecting a religious lifestyle while being modern and sustainable. Therefore, industry players need to make halal certification a comprehensive brand strategy, while regulators such as BPJPH must continue to improve the transparency and effectiveness of the system.

This study aims to determine the influence of price perception, product quality, and electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) on consumers’ purchase decisions in the culinary industry. A quantitative method was employed, with a population consisting of consumers who have made purchases. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to 250 respondents using an accidental sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) via SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results show that two independent variables, namely price perception and e-WOM, significantly influence consumer purchase decisions. This indicates that restaurants offering lower prices while maintaining high product quality are more likely to attract consumers. This study examines how the power of a slogan and visual elements are able to form a strong brand image and is inherent in the memory of consumers, focusing on the study of the Indomie brand. Through the approach of literature review, this study synthesizes various research results and previous reference sources to explore the role of the slogan “Indomie Seleraku” in creating collective memory in the community. Qualitative descriptive approach was used to examine secondary data derived from interview documentation and analysis of Indomie advertising content from various time periods. From the results of the literature review, it can be concluded that the strength of the Indomie brand does not only come from the quality of its products, but also from a consistent marketing communication strategy that is able to generate emotional resonance among consumers. Indomie effectively combines elements of local culture, attractive visual displays, and slogans that are easy to recognize and remember. This combination plays a role in creating an emotional connection between the brand and its consumers, while strengthening public perception of Indomie as part of the daily consumption culture. In addition, thematic advertisements launched at special moments such as the month of Ramadan, as well as the launch of certain regional flavors, also strengthen Indomie's position as a brand that is relevant to local values and national identity. This study confirms that the success of a marketing communication strategy depends not only on the message conveyed, but also on the way it is presented visually and verbally that is able to build emotional experiences and deep meaning for consumers.

. Advertisement is a communication tool containing symbolic messages to shape consumer perception and persuade behavior. One of the notable advertisements is the herbal product Tolak Angin, with the slogan “Orang Pintar Minum Tolak Angin”. The purpose of this study is to analyze the meaning of the messages contained in the slogan and how this advertisement forms a consumer image through the symbols and narratives conveyed. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature review method and Roland Barthes' semiotic theory as an analysis knife. This theory is used to see meaning through three layers, namely denotation, connotation, and myth. Tolak Angin advertisements are analyzed based on visual elements, character expressions, colors, verbal text, and other symbols that appear in the broadcast. The result shows that the advertisement constructs an image of a smart, modern, and health-conscious consumer through symbolic representation. It also creates a myth that consuming herbal medicine is a sign of intelligence and awareness of healthy living.

This research aims to analyze the role of brand image as a mediating variable in the relationship between electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) and purchase intention for iPhone smartphone products in Denpasar City. The study is grounded in Consumer Behavior Theory, which explains how external and internal factors influence purchasing decisions. The widespread use of e-WOM in the digital age is a significant external factor in shaping consumer perceptions. Conversely, brand image is a critical internal asset for a company to build customer trust and loyalty. By understanding the interaction among these three variables, this research is expected to provide strategic insights for marketers. The study’s population includes Denpasar residents who either use or intend to purchase an iPhone smartphone. The sample size is 100 individuals, selected using a purposive sampling technique based on specific criteria such as age, social media usage, and knowledge of iPhone products. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The data analysis methods used were descriptive and inferential analysis. Inferential analysis included the Classical Assumption Test to ensure the data met statistical requirements, Path Analysis to examine the direct and indirect relationships between variables, the Sobel Test to measure the significance of the mediation effect, and the Variance Accounted For (VAF) Test to determine the extent to which brand image mediates the relationship. The results show that brand image plays a partial mediating role in the effect of e-WOM on purchase intention. This indicates that e-WOM not only directly influences purchase intention but also indirectly through the formation of a positive brand image. This finding confirms the importance of brand image as a bridge connecting electronic word-of-mouth promotion with consumers’ purchasing decisions. The implications of this research are highly relevant for iPhone smartphone marketers.
