This study compares the recovery systems for victims of psychosocial violence and traffic accidents from the perspective of Unlawful Acts (PMH) in Indonesia and Malaysia. Using library research, this study analyzes the legal framework, institutions, and social and psychological approaches used by both countries to support the victim recovery process. In Indonesia, the victim recovery system is still oriented towards material compensation and administrative settlements, with limited recognition of immaterial losses such as trauma and psychological disorders. In contrast, Malaysia has developed a victim-centered justice approach that positions victims as the subject of recovery, through regulations such as the Domestic Violence Act 1994 (Amendment 2017), the Road Transport Act 1987, and compensation mechanisms through the Motor Insurers’ Bureau of Malaysia (MIB) and the Victim Compensation Fund. This approach comprehensively integrates legal, social, and psychological recovery, including free counseling services through the One Stop Crisis Center (OSCC) and Talian Kasih 15999. The study's findings indicate that Malaysia has moved toward a holistic human recovery paradigm, while Indonesia still needs to strengthen its victim recovery system by addressing the psychological and social dimensions to align with the principles of restorative justice.

Fear of crime is closely linked to various factors such as education, income, race, age, and especially gender. Many studies have shown that women tend to experience higher levels of anxiety than men, thus limiting their participation in utilizing urban outdoor spaces. This condition emphasizes the need for crime prevention efforts to be integrated into urban planning, emphasizing the fulfillment of a sense of security not only physically but also psychologically. If the city fails to provide an adequate sense of security, it will lead to increased anxiety, discomfort, and ultimately limit community involvement in the use of public spaces. This study aims to identify design factors that influence women's sense of security and psychological safety in downtown areas. The research paradigm used is post-positivism with a quantitative approach, reinforced by walkthrough analysis techniques to produce more accurate findings. The results show that control factors are the most dominant aspect in influencing women's psychological security and safety, while sub-factors such as lighting, diversity of activities, availability of open spaces, and road conditions have also been shown to play a significant role in reducing women's anxiety when accessing public spaces. Thus, this study emphasizes the importance of city center design that is not only oriented towards physical function alone, but also pays attention to psychological aspects in order to create a safe, inclusive, and gender-friendly urban environment so that women can feel more protected and free to participate in urban life.

This research is motivated by the researcher’s curiosity about discrimination and social conflict, which are the central themes in the novel Maryam by Okky Madasari. The main character in this novel, Maryam, faces an inner conflict between maintaining her personal beliefs and coping with the social pressures exerted by her community and family. The internal and external conflicts experienced by Maryam illustrate the psychological dynamics of individuals living in an intolerant environment. To understand these conflicts, this study applies Sigmund Freud's psychological approach, emphasizing the interaction among the id, ego, and superego. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, employing a literature review. The analysis reveals that while Maryam’s id drives her to uphold her freedom and personal beliefs, her superego imposes pressure through societal norms and family expectations. Meanwhile, Maryam's ego functions as a mediator, seeking a compromise, though this leads to emotional distress. These internal and external conflicts reflect the social realities faced by individuals from minority groups, which can significantly influence their life choices.

Violence against women is a global issue that continues to increase. SIMFONI PPA data shows an increasing trend in cases of violence against women in Indonesia, with 11,712 victims in 2023. The purpose of this study is to explain how the UPTD PPA of Blitar City implements a policy of handling services for cases of violence against women and find obstacles faced in its implementation. Talcott Parsons' structural functional theory is used to analyze how social systems function in the context of protecting women to maintain stability and balance in society. This study uses qualitative, descriptive methods with data collection techniques through participatory observation, interviews, and documentation. The results are that the UPTD provides six services for protecting women and children, namely complaints, outreach, case management, shelter, mediation, and assistance. Then referring to PERPRES No. 55 of 2024, the number of services has been increased to eleven. However, social challenges such as negative stigma and limited human resources hinder policy implementation. Therefore, UPTD PPA Kota Blitar continues to strive to provide comprehensive services by involving external parties for legal and psychological assistance which then emphasizes the importance of increasing capacity and human resources to ensure effective protection services for victims of violence at the local level.

Article 468 paragraph (3) of the Election Law mandates that Bawaslu and its regional offices carry out the Settlement of Election Process Disputes (PSPP) through mediation or deliberation and consensus. This mediation is not optional but obligatory, aiming to reach an amicable agreement between the disputing parties. This process reflects Indonesia's local wisdom in resolving disputes peacefully through deliberation. Mediation or deliberation embodies Indonesia’s local wisdom in peacefully resolving disputes, providing psychological and political peace of mind for the parties involved through a win-win solution approach. In PSPP, mediation is prioritized to achieve a fair agreement for all disputing parties. The method used is normative juridical and employs descriptive analysis. In the 2024 elections, the number of PSPP applications decreased significantly, but the quality of dispute resolution through mediation improved. According to Bawaslu RI data as of March 25, 2024, 64.46% of disputes at the stage of determining the Provisional Candidate List (DCS) and the Final Candidate List (DCT) were resolved through mediation, 83.87% at the stage of changes to the DCT, and 97.34% for the Settlement of Disputes between Election Participants (PSAP). For the verification and determination of political parties, 16.67% were resolved through mediation. This success was supported by mediator training, the enhancement of election supervisors’ capacities, as well as representative technical guidelines from Bawaslu RI, along with the strong commitment of all election supervisors.

Sleep quality problems generally often occur in critical patients who are being treated in the ICU, impacting their psychological and physiological health. This triggers an unstable hemodynamic status which leads to decreased immunity and increased metabolism. This study aims to determine the correlation between sleep quality and hemodynamic status in patients admitted to the ICU room of Graha Husada Hospital, Bandar Lampung. This quantitative research uses an analytic survey design with a cross- sectional approach. The population was 31 respondents, with a sample of 24 respondents with a cosmetic level of consciousness, carried out in July-September 2024 using purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire, with data analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that most respondents had poor sleep quality (14 respondents, 58.3%), where 12 respondents (50%) had unstable hemodynamic status. Statistical analysis showed a significant correlation between sleep quality and hemodynamic status with a p-value (0.000) < 0.05. It is hoped that improving the quality of sleep in ICU patients can aid in the healing process and stabilize hemodynamic status

Using a mixed-method approach, This study examines emotional support for Quranic memorization students (santri tahfidz) in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). Quantitative analysis of 515 santri tahfidz revealed high levels of emotional support (M = 3.74, SD = 0.68) with two primary dimensions: reliable relationships (74.96%) and trusted guidance (75.17%). Multiple regression analysis uncovered a significant relationship between emotional support and Quranic memorization achievement (β = 0.42, p < .001, R² = 0.18). A meta-analysis of 28 studies (N = 3,627) confirmed a positive correlation between emotional support and students' psychological well-being (r = 0.39, 95% CI [0.34, 0.44]). MANOVA results indicated significant differences in santri tahfidz's perceptions of emotional support based on gender (Wilks' λ = .97, F(2, 512) = 7.85, p < .001, partial η² = .03) and age (Wilks' λ = .95, F(4, 1022) = 6.73, p < .001, partial η² = .03). These findings extend previous research by Hasfi (2018) and Vista (2018) by identifying the specific roles of teacher support (β = 0.31, p < .01) and peer support (β = 0.28, p < .01) in enhancing student resilience. Furthermore, this study contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of emotional support dynamics in pesantren tahfidz education, integrating Bronfenbrenner's (1979) ecological perspective and Deci and Ryan's (2000) self-determination theory. Finally in a practical context, the researcher evaluates this study has implications for the development of more structured and efficient emotional support intervention programs in tahfidz pesantren.

This study examines the dynamics of personal adjustment in Quranic memorization students using a mixed methods approach, combining quantitative field analysis as primary data and meta-analysis as secondary data. The field study involved 515 students from two Indonesian Islamic boarding schools: Pesantren Tahfizh Daarul Qur'an and Yayasan Islamic Centre Sumatera Utara. The meta-analysis included 30 studies (N = 4,827) from international databases. The quantitative analysis showed a high level of personal adjustment among students (M = 3.66, SD = 0.52), with the highest score on acting objectively according to one's conditions and potential (M = 3.85, SD = 0.48). Regression analysis revealed that self-acceptance significantly predicted overall personal adjustment (β = 0.42, p < .001). The meta-analysis confirmed a positive relationship between self-acceptance and personal adjustment (r = 0.53, 95% CI [0.47, 0.59]). Moderator analysis indicated a stronger effect for female students (r = 0.58) than males (r = 0.49). These findings extend the research of Ahmad et al. (2022) and Rahma (2023) by identifying unique factors influencing personal adjustment of Quranic memorization students, such as memorization intensity (β = 0.31, p < .01) and social support in Quranic boarding schools (β = 0.28, p < .01). Additionally, the integration of primary and secondary data provides a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of personal adjustment in Quranic memorization students, emphasizing the importance of evidence-based interventions to enhance the psychological well-being of these students.

Bullying is an act of violence against individuals both verbally and non-verbally that results in traumatized individuals to carry out activities in general. In recent months, there has been a lot of news that there is child violence committed by their own friends, parents and the community. Both in the educational environment and in the community, for this reason, it is necessary to make joint commitments to make efforts to prevent acts of verbal and non-verbal violence both through social media directly and with other tools. It is due to the lack of understanding of the dangers of bullying for it is very interesting if this is solved. This commitment is not enough only from education but must cooperate with various parties, both authorities, the community, guardians, students, and community leaders. The method in socialization of the prevention of violence against children (bullying) has several stages in the first stages of planning, organizing, implementing socialization, mentoring and evaluation. The main target that is expected in the implementation of this activity is so that the public knows the rules of the law on child violence and also the psychological danger for children who experience such violence. The results of this activity were immediately felt because many communities, students and education directly provided input to carry out continuous assistance and immediately obtained positive results with an understanding of the dangers of bullying for children affected by bullying both psychologically and non-psychologically.
