This research focuses on the role of the Barikan Tradition in strengthening social solidarity among the community, highlighting how this cultural and religious practice serves as a bond between community members. Additionally, the study aims to explore the religious meanings embedded in the Barikan Tradition from the local community's perspective, as well as its influence on the formation of collective identity. A qualitative approach using ethnographic methods was employed to deeply examine the religious meanings and functions of the Barikan Tradition and its social impact on the community. The findings indicate that the Barikan Tradition is understood as an effort to maintain balance between the spiritual and material worlds, between traditional values and the demands of modernization. This tradition plays a significant role in reinforcing social solidarity, preserving collective identity, and helping the community adapt to social changes. Furthermore, the Barikan Tradition reflects religious syncretism, where a fusion of local beliefs with religion occurs. As a religious rite passed down through generations, Barikan not only functions as a symbolic ritual but also as a reflection of spirituality and community values. In the context of the sociology of religion, this tradition plays an important role in strengthening collective consciousness and preserving religious values amid the challenges of globalization and modernization.

This research is motivated by a lack of knowledge regarding the main tasks and functions, as well as a lack of effectiveness in monitoring the performance of the village head, so that monitoring the village head does not go according to what the community expects and there is a lot of chaos that occurs due to factors caused by village government and the absence of sharper movements in resolving problems that occur in society. The aim of this research is to determine the supervision of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) on the performance of the Head of Balokang Village, Banjar District, Banjar City. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection techniques include: Interview observation and documentation. The data processing techniques in this research are: Data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing/verification. The informants in this research were 3 (seven) people. Based on the research results, it is known that the Village Government Performance Monitoring by the Village Consultative Body (BPD) in Balokang Village, Banjar District, Banjar City in carrying out work direction has not carried out its role well. So it is difficult for the village government to get input and direction regarding needs that are considered priority needs for the village. In determining the work standards of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) it has not been implemented effectively, this is proven by the lack of understanding by members of the BPD of Balokang village, Banjar sub-district, Banjar city of the existing guidelines for setting work standards carried out by the village head. Lack of supervision in observing the course of operational activities on a regular basis, this has resulted in irregularities committed by unscrupulous village officials. This study examines The Legal Position of the Peace Deed as a Means of Dispute Resolution for Parties Outside the Court, focusing on the notary’s authority and the legal strength of the peace deed compared to court decisions. Using a normative juridical method, this research emphasizes an analysis of positive legal provisions such as the Indonesian Civil Code, the Notary Law, and the Law on Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution. The findings indicate that notaries possess legal authority to draft peace deeds as authentic instruments ensuring legal certainty and justice for disputing parties. A peace deed made before a notary holds the same legal force as a court decision with permanent legal effect (inkracht van gewijsde) and may serve as an executorial title when issued in the form of a grosse acte. Thus, the notarial peace deed functions as an effective, efficient, and equitable legal instrument for resolving disputes, reinforcing the principles of simplicity, speed, and low cost within the national legal system.

This research discusses the role of environmental law in preventing environmental damage and pollution with a case study of illegal shrimp farmers in the Karimunjawa National Park Area. The Karimun Jawa National Park area is an ecosystem that is rich in biodiversity and has vital ecological functions. However, illegal shrimp farming activities in this area have caused significant environmental damage, including decreased water quality and damage to mangrove habitats. This research uses a normative juridical approach to analyze applicable environmental legal regulations and policies as well as the effectiveness of law enforcement in preventing and dealing with the activities of illegal shrimp farmers. The research results show that although there are clear regulations regarding environmental protection, implementation and enforcement of the law are still weak. Lack of coordination between institutions, minimal human resources, and technical obstacles in the field are the main inhibiting factors in enforcing environmental law. This research recommends increasing law enforcement capacity, increasing coordination between institutions, and strengthening local community participation in environmental protection efforts in the Karimunjawa National Park Area. With these steps, it is hoped that environmental damage and pollution due to illegal activities can be minimized.
