Waste management remains a serious problem, particularly in rural areas, which generally have relatively low levels of environmental awareness. Inorganic waste such as plastic, glass, and aluminum is a major concern because it takes hundreds of years to decompose naturally. This situation poses potential long-term environmental hazards, including soil and water pollution, and ecosystem disruption. Therefore, effective educational efforts are needed to raise public awareness of waste issues. This community service activity was carried out in Sarah Perlak Village, Sungai Mas District, West Aceh Regency. The focus of the activity was the installation of educational signs containing information about the decomposition time of various types of waste. Implementation methods included direct observation to identify specific problems at the site, informal outreach to local residents, demonstrations related to waste sorting, and the creation and installation of educational signs. The signs were made from wooden planks and decorated with real waste such as plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and used paper, thus providing a tangible visualization to the community. The results of the activity showed that the visual approach through educational signs was able to attract the attention of residents, both children and adults. The information was presented clearly and accompanied by real-life examples, making the message easier to understand and remember. In addition, direct interaction through outreach and demonstrations provided an opportunity for residents to ask questions and share experiences related to waste management. Overall, this educational medium has proven effective in conveying environmental messages, raising awareness, and motivating the community to start sorting and reducing waste at the source. Going forward, this program is planned to be expanded through training in processing waste into useful products, thereby not only reducing pollution but also providing economic benefits to the community.

Low Birth Weight (LBW) is a condition in which a newborn weighs less than 2.5 kg, generally caused by premature birth (<37 weeks) or intrauterine growth restriction. LBW increases the risk of health problems such as growth delays, cognitive impairments, infections, respiratory disorders, cardiovascular issues, gastrointestinal problems, kidney disorders, and higher rates of infant morbidity and mortality. This study aimed to identify factors associated with LBW in the working area of Rosalina Munthe Clinic. The study used an analytical design with a cross-sectional approach, and data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods with SPSS. Results showed that 33.3% of respondents had LBW infants. Mothers with unsafe age were 39.7%, those with unsafe pregnancy intervals were 61.9%, low socioeconomic status was found in 66.7%, and low educational level in 81%. Analysis revealed a significant association between maternal age and LBW incidence. However, pregnancy interval, anemia, and socioeconomic status showed no significant association with LBW. This study highlights that maternal age plays a key role in LBW occurrence, while other factors require further investigation to understand their contribution to the risk of delivering low birth weight infants.

Education is a strategic effort to overcome ignorance and poverty, which remain serious problems in Indonesia. Through education, individuals can acquire knowledge, skills, and a broad understanding of the world, thereby improving their quality of life and contributing to the nation's progress. Quality education will create superior, independent, and competitive human resources in the era of globalization. In this article, the author attempts to examine issues related to the implementation of education in schools through a qualitative approach. The research was conducted using several methods, namely observation, interviews, and field notes. Observations were conducted directly in the school environment to thoroughly understand the context being studied, including interactions between school members and the implementation of the learning process. Furthermore, interviews were used to gather information from informants, such as teachers, students, and school staff, to gain a deeper insight into the realities of education on the ground. Meanwhile, field notes were used as a tool for documentation and reflection on the results of the observations and interviews, which later became the basis for knowledge discovery and theory strengthening. The simultaneous use of these three methods enabled the author to obtain rich and in-depth data. This research shows that in the implementation of education still face several obstacles, such as limited facilities, lack of training for educators, and suboptimal parental involvement. Therefore, the implementation of education must be carried out through careful planning, appropriate strategies, and collaboration between various parties in order to achieve educational goals effectively and sustainably.

Mental health in productive-age individuals is an important aspect to consider, given that this age group has a high potential for experiencing emotional stress due to work, social, and personal demands. Unfortunately, psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety, and stress are often not recognized early because their symptoms are subclinical or hidden. Based on this background, mental health screening and education activities were conducted to support promotive and preventive efforts in maintaining the psychological well-being of productive-age individuals. Screening was conducted using the 42-item version of the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS-42) instrument on 49 participants within the productive age range. After completing the questionnaire, participants received a collective education session delivered through posters. The educational material was tailored to the measurement results and distribution of DASS-42 scores obtained from the participants. The aim of this approach was to raise awareness of each individual's psychological condition and equip participants with knowledge about the early symptoms of common mental disorders. The screening results showed that a proportion of participants experienced mild to severe psychological symptoms, particularly in the anxiety domain. This finding indicates a hidden emotional burden that is not yet recognized by the individuals concerned. Through the delivery of visual education based on population measurement results, participants gained a better understanding of the urgency of early recognition of psychological problems and the importance of maintaining ongoing mental health. This activity demonstrated that visual education, such as posters, can be an effective tool in increasing mental health literacy among those of working age. Furthermore, the data-driven approach provided a more relevant and personalized impact, thus encouraging participant engagement in mental health prevention efforts.

The rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, particularly through the use of language models such as ChatGPT, has brought about significant changes in educational practices in Indonesia. The use of this technology has contributed to the creation of a more efficient learning process while enriching students' abilities to master and understand material more comprehensively. However, the use of AI in academic activities presents a number of problems, particularly related to scientific integrity, including an increased risk of digital plagiarism and a decline in critical thinking skills. In view of these developments, this study focuses on examining how the use of ChatGPT affects academic integrity and the quality of digital learning at UIN North Sumatra. This study applies a descriptive qualitative method, in which data is collected through interviews with five students from the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business (FEBI) to gain a deeper understanding of their perceptions of the use of artificial intelligence in learning activities. The findings show that although ChatGPT provides convenience and efficiency in the learning process, students emphasize the importance of supervision and knowledge of ethics so that this technology can be used appropriately and responsibly. Therefore, universities need to strengthen digital literacy and ethics among students and increase supervision to ensure that the use of this technology does not compromise academic integrity. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the impact of AI use on academic integrity in Islamic universities in Indonesia.

Limited access to learning resources appropriate to the local context presents a challenge in the mathematics learning process in indigenous communities such as the Baduy Tribe. Conventional mathematics learning is often considered too abstract and less relevant to the daily lives of Baduy children, especially in the Outer Baduy region. To address this challenge, this community service activity aims to introduce contextual mathematics learning media based on the surrounding environment and local culture. The media developed is designed to be easily accessible, affordable, and environmentally friendly, while still respecting prevailing traditional values. The method used in this activity is Participatory Action Research (PAR), with a collaborative approach between a team of lecturers and the Outer Baduy community. The activity implementation process includes six stages, namely: identification of local problems and potential, planning, designing learning media, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of activity results. The results of the activity show an increase in interest and understanding of basic mathematics concepts among Outer Baduy children. Children appear more active, enthusiastic, and confident in participating in the learning process through educational games and concrete activities. The media used utilizes natural objects and local cultural elements, such as woodcuts, ancient angklungs, traditional hats, and distinctive Baduy woven motifs. The community responded positively because these media do not conflict with traditional values. This activity has had positive cognitive and social impacts and strengthened awareness of the importance of a contextual and culturally based educational approach as a relevant and inclusive learning strategy.

Education is a conscious and structured effort aimed at creating an environment and process that actively facilitates learners in developing their full potential. This includes nurturing their spiritual and moral values, self-control, intelligence, strong character, and essential life skills required for personal development and meaningful contributions to society, the nation, and the global community. At its core, education serves to empower students to realize and utilize their capabilities for future life challenges. It acts as a foundational medium through which younger generations acquire essential life skills, enabling them to integrate effectively into society. Moreover, education plays a pivotal role not only in the personal growth of individuals but also in the advancement of a nation. High-quality education is defined by its capacity to equip students with the competence to confront and resolve real-world problems. This notion becomes increasingly critical as learners transition from academic settings to the workforce and community life, where they are expected to apply their knowledge and skills practically. However, the success or failure of educational outcomes is largely determined by the curriculum. A well-designed curriculum should cultivate critical awareness and empower students to navigate complex social and professional environments. It should also promote creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration, which are essential skills in today’s rapidly changing world. Furthermore, education should not be viewed merely as a means to acquire knowledge but as a holistic process that fosters emotional intelligence and social responsibility. By integrating various disciplines and encouraging interdisciplinary learning, education can help students develop a broader perspective on global issues, such as climate change, social justice, and economic inequality. In addition, the role of educators is crucial in this process.
