Fermentation of seluang fish (Rasbora spp.) pekasam is a traditional method for extending shelf life and enhancing flavor, typically produced through spontaneous fermentation dominated by lactic acid bacteria (LAB). However, uncontrolled production processes lead to significant variability in product quality. This research aims to optimize the fermentation process of seluang fish pekasam through a series of controlled microbiology-based experimental practicums. The experiments were designed to investigate the impact of two main parameters: (1) the use of a LAB starter culture isolated from high-quality pekasam, and (2) the control of incubation temperature (e.g., at 25°C and 30°C). During the fermentation period, samples were periodically analyzed to measure changes in physicochemical parameters, including pH, moisture content, and salt concentration. Microbiological analysis was performed to count the populations of LAB and other spoilage microbes. The results showed that the use of a LAB starter culture significantly accelerated the pH drop within the first 24 hours, reaching a critical pH below 4.5, which effectively inhibited the growth of pathogenic microbes. Furthermore, the optimal raw material ratio and controlled incubation temperature resulted in pekasam with a firmer texture and a more balanced sour-savory taste, differing significantly from spontaneously fermented products. Organoleptic tests confirmed panelists' preference for the product made with the optimal treatment. The conclusion of this study is that optimization through microbiology-based experimental practicums is key to the standardization and improvement of the quality and food safety of pekasam products.

This study investigates the influence of transformational leadership on teacher performance in disadvantaged regions, with a specific focus on SMP Satu Atap Werdi in Pekalongan Regency. Schools located in remote and underdeveloped areas often face structural challenges such as limited resources, inadequate infrastructure, and geographical isolation, which significantly hinder the delivery of quality education. In this context, the role of school principals becomes critical in shaping organizational culture and motivating educators to maintain high performance despite the constraints. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, using participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis to gather rich and comprehensive data from the principal and teachers as key informants. Findings indicate that even though SMP Satu Atap Werdi operates in an area with severely limited facilities, the transformational leadership style adopted by the principal has successfully brought about meaningful improvements in school management and teacher performance. The leadership was manifested through four main dimensions: idealized influence, demonstrated by strong role modelling and exemplary behaviour; inspirational motivation, reflected in the principal’s ability to encourage teachers to remain committed and enthusiastic; intellectual stimulation, which fostered creativity, innovation, and problem-solving among teachers; and individualized consideration, shown through personal guidance and support tailored to each teacher’s needs. These practices led to visible progress in teacher discipline, professional dedication, and organizational commitment. The study underscores the importance of transformational leadership as a catalyst for positive organizational change in education, particularly under challenging circumstances. The findings align with previous literature highlighting its effectiveness in motivating subordinates and enhancing performance. From a practical standpoint, this research suggests the need for policymakers and education stakeholders to strengthen transformational leadership practices in schools across disadvantaged regions as a strategy to achieve equitable educational quality in Indonesia.

Narcotics are substances or drugs, whether synthetic or semi-synthetic, derived from plants or non-plant materials that have the potential to cause disturbances or changes in human consciousness. Their use may result in loss of sensation, impaired taste, and, in more severe cases, strong dependency or addiction. While narcotics have undeniable benefits in the fields of medicine, healthcare, and scientific development—particularly in pain management and research—their misuse carries significant risks for both individuals and society. This study adopts a normative legal approach by analyzing existing regulations, statutory provisions, and relevant academic literature regarding narcotics and crime. The findings reveal that narcotics abuse is often closely linked to criminal behavior, as drug dependence can negatively influence psychological stability, decision-making, and social conduct, potentially driving individuals to engage in unlawful acts. Furthermore, crime is a relative concept shaped by context, culture, and societal norms, which means its connection with narcotics requires multidimensional analysis. Law enforcement efforts against narcotics-related crimes have been continuously pursued by authorities through preventive, repressive, and judicial measures, with various court rulings highlighting the gravity of the problem. However, legal enforcement alone is insufficient; a holistic strategy is needed that combines strict law enforcement with rehabilitation, psychological support, and community education. Such a comprehensive approach is expected to reduce narcotics misuse, prevent recidivism, and minimize its destructive impacts. Ultimately, this research seeks to provide deeper insights into the dynamic relationship between narcotics abuse and crime, while offering practical recommendations to achieve more effective solutions for protecting individuals, strengthening social resilience, and promoting public welfare

This study uses the library research qualitative method to examine the effectiveness of economic incentives in encouraging the conservation of natural resources (SDA) as well as mitigating environmental damage in a sustainable manner. The background of this study is driven by the increasing environmental degradation due to uncontrolled exploitation of natural resources, which is often oriented towards short-term profits without regard for ecological sustainability and community welfare. In this context, economic incentives are seen as a strategic policy instrument that is able to influence the behavior of business actors and society towards a more environmentally friendly and socially responsible activity pattern. Various forms of economic incentives were discussed including green subsidies, environmental taxes, payment for environmental services (PES) schemes, and ecolabel certification. These instruments are considered to be able to internalize the external costs of environmental damage into economic calculations, thereby providing pressure and motivation for business actors to implement more sustainable and innovative practices. Based on a review of academic literature, scientific journals, as well as national and international policies, it was found that the implementation of economic incentives has proven to be effective in increasing environmental awareness and encouraging green innovation significantly. However, the effectiveness of its implementation is highly dependent on the quality of policy governance, the level of transparency, regulatory clarity, and the active involvement of local communities. Without adequate oversight, incentives have the potential to be abused or not achieve their intended goals. Therefore, the design of economic incentive policies must be fair, measurable, and prepared with a participatory approach and based on empirical data. This study concludes that economic incentives not only function as a financial mechanism, but also as an instrument of behavior change, economic culture, and environmental innovation towards sustainability.

This study aims to describe the social transformations found in the literary aspects of the Advanced Indonesian Language Textbook for grade 11 and analyze its relationship to the construction of the Pancasila Student Profile (P5). The main focus of this study is to examine how the literary works presented in the textbook function not only as a medium for language learning but also as a vehicle for character development and social understanding for students. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with sociological literary analysis techniques, where data is obtained from excerpts from poetry, short stories, and plays that depict social change. The results indicate that the social transformations reflected in these literary works are divided into two main forms: collective behavior and social movements. Collective behavior is demonstrated through themes of fashion and fashion, urban legends, and the phenomenon of mass hysteria, which implicitly depict social conflict, class inequality, and the dynamics of societal culture. Meanwhile, social movements are depicted in the narratives of characters who fight for change against norms, traditions, and social structures that limit freedom. This representation demonstrates resistance, critical awareness, and a drive towards a more just and equal life. The findings of this study are closely related to the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile, such as critical reasoning skills, a spirit of mutual cooperation, an attitude of upholding social justice, and independence in thought and action. Therefore, it can be concluded that literary works in Indonesian language textbooks not only present aesthetic value and literary appreciation, but also serve as an effective means of instilling national values and supporting the formation of student character in accordance with the vision of Pancasila.

This study aims to examine in-depth the forms and types of clauses that appear in everyday conversations on social media, particularly on the Facebook platform. The focus of the study is directed at how social media users form and use clauses in online interactions, and their implications for message comprehension. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques consisting of observations of conversations and interactions between users. The collected data are then analyzed to identify patterns, variations, and characteristics of the clauses used. The results show that the language forms used tend to be non-standard, for example, short sentences, omissions of subject or predicate elements, and the use of informal vocabulary. However, these variations do not hinder the understanding of messages between users. Instead, the use of these forms reflects users' adaptation to the nature of online communication, which demands speed and efficiency. This phenomenon demonstrates the flexibility of language that is constantly evolving in response to changes in social and technological contexts. The research findings confirm that language dynamics in the digital era not only influence clause form and structure but also enrich the variety of contemporary Indonesian discourse. This has important implications for education, particularly in language learning. By understanding the role of clauses in online communication, educators can adapt teaching methods to be more relevant to the linguistic realities faced by students. This research contributes to the study of sociolinguistics and digital communication, while also opening up opportunities for further research. Future, more in-depth studies could explore the influence of online interactions on language development, the relationship between language and culture, and how technology shapes communication patterns in society.
